The world's population is estimated to grow from 7.7 billion currently to 9.7 billion. in 2050, in addition to this scenario, there is the need to meet the food demands of this growing population, which reinforces the urgency of further investigations regarding sustainable food production. Large-scale conventional markets are characterized by the intensive use of inputs and monoculture, this agriculture aimed at a reduced number of plant species makes production, commercialization and diversity in food consumption difficult, leading to biodiversity losses. This exposes the premise of achieving sustainable food production goals, which is one of the guidelines of the UN's 2030 agenda. With that in mind, Brazilian Biodiversity (BB) has potential for the development of new food products and can be an experience platform for consumers looking for differentiated products. Consumers' behavioral and lifestyle changes give rise to new consumption trends, and in this case, attributes related to healthiness and sustainability have been gaining evidence among consumers by highlighting protection of the environment and respect for natural resources. Pereskia aculeata Miller is a food plant popularly known as Ora-pro-nobis that can be found in many regions of Brazil. This cactus has the potential to develop new successful food products, but it is essential to investigate the correlations that involve the choice processes and to look deeper into consumer perceptions. And to understand the purchase intention requires a multidisciplinary study view, in this context the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) can provide light for analyzes of this complexity. So the question is, can sociopsychological factors influence the purchase intention of food products developed based on Ora-pro-nobis and can the health and sustainability attributes of these products influence the attitude of potential consumers? Therefore, the objective of this research was to identify the influence of the factors attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control in the purchase intention of food products developed based on Ora-pro-nobis; identify the influence of the healthiness and sustainability attributes of these products on the attitude of potential consumers; and describe the profile of the sample of potential consumers surveyed. For this, a research questionnaire was developed and applied online. The data collected in the questionnaire were submitted to statistical analysis of Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares, to test the effects of the proposed conceptual model. The research had the collaboration of 198 participants. The results showed that, among all the factors derived from the TCP, attitude was the most relevant for purchase intention and the perceived benefits of healthiness and sustainability are strong predictors of stimulating consumer attitude. We affirm that it is fundamental to advance the agro-industrial system towards a structure that supports the development of the Ora-pro-nobis production chain in a sustainable way with entrepreneurship and diversity of food for the market, seeking to reach higher levels of productivity of the economies through of diversification

Green products stand out as new consumer trends, but to create marketing elements for these products, it is necessary to understand the socio-psychological concepts of consumers. Thus, the research aimed to investigate the scientific approach in the relationship between the theory of planned behavior and the purchase behavior of green food products through a systematic literature review in the Scopus database, seeking insights for the construction of green marketing strategies. The results indicate that trust is a key factor to stimulate the purchase of green products, directly influencing the purchase decision of consumers. It was found that information transparency is essential to establish a relationship of trust between producer-company-consumer that can boost the consumption of green foods. As a general consensus of the articles, marketing has a fundamental role in providing information, but there is no defined concept of the term green products, which can harm green marketing strategies

Biodiversity loss is one of the main challenges of our time,1,2 and attempts to address it require a clear un derstanding of how ecological communities respond to environmental change across time and space.3,4 While the increasing availability of global databases on ecological communities has advanced our knowledge of biodiversity sensitivity to environmental changes,5–7 vast areas of the tropics remain understudied.8–11 In the American tropics, Amazonia stands out as the world’s most diverse rainforest and the primary source of Neotropical biodiversity,12 but it remains among the least known forests in America and is often underrepre sented in biodiversity databases.13–15 To worsen this situation, human-induced modifications16,17 may elim inate pieces of the Amazon’s biodiversity puzzle before we can use them to understand how ecological com munities are responding. To increase generalization and applicability of biodiversity knowledge,18,19 it is thus crucial to reduce biases in ecological research, particularly in regions projected to face the most pronounced environmental changes. We integrate ecological community metadata of 7,694 sampling sites for multiple or ganism groups in a machine learning model framework to map the research probability across the Brazilian Amazonia, while identifying the region’s vulnerability to environmental change. 15%–18% of the most ne glected areas in ecological research are expected to experience severe climate or land use changes by 2050. This means that unless we take immediate action, we will not be able to establish their current status, much less monitor how it is changing and what is being lostinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Abstract Background Healthcare cannot achieve net-zero carbon without addressing operating theatres. The aim of this study was to prioritize feasible interventions to reduce the environmental impact of operating theatres. Methods This study adopted a four-phase Delphi consensus co-prioritization methodology. In phase 1, a systematic review of published interventions and global consultation of perioperative healthcare professionals were used to longlist interventions. In phase 2, iterative thematic analysis consolidated comparable interventions into a shortlist. In phase 3, the shortlist was co-prioritized based on patient and clinician views on acceptability, feasibility, and safety. In phase 4, ranked lists of interventions were presented by their relevance to high-income countries and low–middle-income countries. Results In phase 1, 43 interventions were identified, which had low uptake in practice according to 3042 professionals globally. In phase 2, a shortlist of 15 intervention domains was generated. In phase 3, interventions were deemed acceptable for more than 90 per cent of patients except for reducing general anaesthesia (84 per cent) and re-sterilization of ‘single-use’ consumables (86 per cent). In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for high-income countries were: introducing recycling; reducing use of anaesthetic gases; and appropriate clinical waste processing. In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for low–middle-income countries were: introducing reusable surgical devices; reducing use of consumables; and reducing the use of general anaesthesia. Conclusion This is a step toward environmentally sustainable operating environments with actionable interventions applicable to both high– and low–middle–income countries
