The difficulties in identifying and grafting an intramuscular coronary artery
Myocardial bridging involves tunnelling of one of the coronary arteries through the myocardium, resulting in what are known as intramyocardial coronaries. While most patients with intramyocardial coronary vessels are asymptomatic, there is evidence that myocardial bridging may be the cause of sudden death. Given the low detection rate on coronary angiography, myocardial bridging may complicate coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). This case report discusses a 72-year-old gentleman who underwent CABG, during which an undiagnosed intramuscular left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery was found.
With only the tapering end of the LAD visible at the apex of the heart, a small incision was made at this site and a 1mm probe inserted. At the uppermost reach of the probe the tip was felt to point superficial and therefore a second more proximal incision was performed. The left internal thoracic artery (LITA) was than successfully anastomosed with the proximal arteriotomy and a length of saphenous vein was used for anastomosis with the distal arteriotomy where the probe was originally inserted. The patient was discharged home 5 days post operatively.peer-reviewe
A Deep Space Network Portable Radio Science Receiver
The Radio Science Receiver (RSR) is an open-loop receiver installed in NASA s Deep Space Network (DSN), which digitally filters and records intermediate-frequency (IF) analog signals. The RSR is an important tool for the Cassini Project, which uses it to measure perturbations of the radio-frequency wave as it travels between the spacecraft and the ground stations, allowing highly detailed study of the composition of the rings, atmosphere, and surface of Saturn and its satellites
The effect of the mixtures of pork fat, passion fruit albedo and sunflower oil (0
100%) on the water holding capacity, color (L*, a* y b*), instrumental texture
and overall acceptability of beef burgers, was evaluated. The reticular simplex
mixtures design with expanded centroid under the methodology of response
surface was used in order to obtain the appropriate mathematical model to
represent the behavior of the variables under study and to establish the
optimal combination of predicted factors for optimizing it. A significant
(p<0.05) effect of the mixtures of pork fat, passion fruit albedo and sunflower
oil on the fiber texture and overall acceptability was found. The opposite was
true for water retention capacity and color properties. The special cubic
mathematical model represented the behavior of the instrumental texture and
the quadratic model was followed for the general acceptability, with values of
coefficients of determination R2 of 0.96 and 0.87, respectively. The predicted
optimal combination was: pork fat 90.31%; passion fruit albedo 6.58% and
sunflower oil 3.11%; this mixture allowed to optimize the response variables:
overall acceptability score greater than 6.89 (approximate value 7 = rating ""I
like it moderately""), adequate texture and 2.67 N instrumental in beef burgers
AS RETÓRICAS DO DIREITO

The following work of research has as main subject the study of the software certification service line from the consulting TI company and requires solving the problematic in the evaluation of software development products that has a direct impact in the fulfillment of their SLA, generating large economic losses.
In the quantitative analysis, it was identified there are inadequate techniques for the evaluation with an impact of the fulfillment of the thresholds defined on each SLA, which has generated large economic losses in the last year due to penalty. Given this chaotic situation, the implementation of a software product quality evaluation model is proposed, which provides guidelines in accordance with international standards and practices for the evaluation of quality, helping to increase the quality of its products and customer satisfaction, because there is evidence of economic losses that are increasing annually.
In this research work a general review of the existing software product quality evaluation standards is made, an evaluation of compliance of the ISO/IEC 25010 norm in the company will be carried out and an improvement plan will be proposed. In conclusion, the implementation of the proposal is recommended as strategic support for the fulfillment of the strategic objectives of the company, reducing the risk of economic losses and increasing the capacity to execute new STD (Technical Development Requests), which will allow the company to be more profitable and provide a better quality service.Trabajo de investigació
Rare coding variants and X-linked loci associated with age at menarche.
More than 100 loci have been identified for age at menarche by genome-wide association studies; however, collectively these explain only ∼3% of the trait variance. Here we test two overlooked sources of variation in 192,974 European ancestry women: low-frequency protein-coding variants and X-chromosome variants. Five missense/nonsense variants (in ALMS1/LAMB2/TNRC6A/TACR3/PRKAG1) are associated with age at menarche (minor allele frequencies 0.08-4.6%; effect sizes 0.08-1.25 years per allele; P<5 × 10(-8)). In addition, we identify common X-chromosome loci at IGSF1 (rs762080, P=9.4 × 10(-13)) and FAAH2 (rs5914101, P=4.9 × 10(-10)). Highlighted genes implicate cellular energy homeostasis, post-transcriptional gene silencing and fatty-acid amide signalling. A frequently reported mutation in TACR3 for idiopathic hypogonatrophic hypogonadism (p.W275X) is associated with 1.25-year-later menarche (P=2.8 × 10(-11)), illustrating the utility of population studies to estimate the penetrance of reportedly pathogenic mutations. Collectively, these novel variants explain ∼0.5% variance, indicating that these overlooked sources of variation do not substantially explain the 'missing heritability' of this complex trait.UK sponsors (see article for overseas ones):

Mining Environmental Liability and Its in Situ Treatment with Calcium Oxide for Zinc Removal
Mining environmental liabilities have negative effects on human
health, the ecosystem and property. This study was conducted at the Cercapuquio
Mining Environmental Liability (MEL) in the district of Chongos Alto. The
wastewater analysis was conducted at Universidad Continental and data were
obtained on metal content and hydrogen potential. This investigation revealed
that the Cercapuquio MEL wastewater had a higher concentration of zinc, 9,916
mg/L, and the pH level was 7.53 (alkaline), which is why this effluent exceeds
the maximum permissible limit of the annual average. A neutralizing reagent was
also prepared by recycling eggshells, calcined at 1000 °C for 40 min, obtaining
quicklime with 61.30% calcium oxide (CaO). For wastewater treatment, the
quicklime obtained in neutralizing solution was used, which, when applied to the
effluent, had the effect of lowering the zinc concentration from 9.916 mg/L to
0.051 mg/L and the pH from 7.53 to 10.36. The average zinc removal achieved
in the effluent is 96%
Social Distancing and COVID-19: Factors Associated With Compliance With Social Distancing Norms in Spain
This article describes patterns of compliance with social distancing measures among
the Spanish population during the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. It
identifies several factors associated with higher or lower compliance with recommended
measures of social distancing. This research is part of a 67-country study, titled
the International COVID-19 study on Social & Moral Psychology, in which we use a
Spanish dataset. Participants were residents in Spain aged 18 or above. The sample
comprises 1,090 respondents, weighted to be representative of the Spanish population.
Frequencies, correlations, bivariate analysis, and six models based on hierarchical
multiple regressions were applied. The main finding is that most Spaniards are compliant
with established guidelines of social distance during the pandemic (State of Alarm,
before May 2020). Variables associated more with lower levels of compliance with
these standards were explored. Six hierarchical multiple regression models found that
compliance with social distance measures has a multifactorial explanation (R
2 between
20.4 and 49.1%). Sociodemographic factors, personal hygiene patterns, and the
interaction between personal hygiene patterns and the support for political measures
related to the coronavirus brought significant effects on the regression models. Less
compliance was also associated with beliefs in some specific conspiracy theories with
regard to COVID-19 or general conspiracy mentality (Conspiracy Mentality Questionnaire,
CMQ), consumption patterns of traditional mass media (television, paper newspapers,
magazines, and radio) and modern means to get informed (online digital newspapers,
blogs, and social networks), political ideology, vote, trust in institutions, and political
identification. Among the future lines of action in preventing the possible outbreak of
the virus, we suggest measures to reinforce trust in official information, mainly linked to
reducing the influence of disinformation and conspiracy theories parallel to the pandemic
