Transformación de una gama de moldes con SMED
En este proyecto se ha realizado un estudio previo de agrupación de los
moldes existentes, de forma que con un solo molde i tan solo cambiando las
piezas funcionales de este, podamos minimizar los cambios de tiempo de
preparación, para poder cambiar de versión de pieza que se esta fabricando.
Estos cambios para poder minimizar los tiempos se han llevado a cabo
aplicando la teoría del S.M.E.D.
Para llevar a cabo este proyecto, se han analizado las uniones de las
diferentes partes del molde actual. Posteriormente, se ha estudiado la mejor
forma de cambiar estas uniones, para facilitar el cambio de las partes
funcionales. Consiguiendo de este modo, que la máquina este el mínimo de
tiempo parada y así aumentar el rendimiento de esta

Two small arrays composed by short period (1 Hz) digital seismic
stations, with an aperture of approximately 400 meters, were set up at
Stromboli volcano (one at semaforo Labronzo, the other at Ginostra-
Timpone del Fuoco) with the purpose of the spatial location of the high
frequency source of the explosion quakes.
About 75 explosion-quakes were recorded at both arrays, and
constitute the available data base.
We have planned to apply the zero-lag cross-correlation technique to
the whole data set in order to obtain back-azimuth and apparent
slowness of the coherent seismic phases. A preliminary analysis for
both arrays show that the predominant back-azimuth for the first phase
is oriented in the direction of , but not strictly coincident to, the crater
area. Moreover some back-scattered arrivals are quite evident in the

Subpubic cartilaginous cystic lesion presenting as a vulvar mass: a case report
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Introduction</p> <p>A subpubic cartilaginous cyst is a rare and innocent defect originating from the symphysis pubis and may present as a vulvar mass and/or chronic abdominal pain. The symphysis pubis is a non-synovial amphiarthrodial joint that forms a fibrocartilaginous union between the two pubic bones and in general lies without mainstream interest, despite its clinical relevance. This case report focuses attention on this joint.</p> <p>Case presentation</p> <p>A 55-year-old Caucasian woman presented with a painful and rapidly increasing vulvar mass. Imaging techniques revealed a cyst-like structure originating from a degenerated symphysis pubis. The cyst was excised, however, recovery was complicated by a symphysiolysis.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>A subpubic cartilaginous cyst is a rare cystic lesion originating from the symphysis of the pubic bone which presents as a vulvar mass which might be complicated by symphysiolysis. Several diseases affect the symphysis pubis and result in significant discomfort and disability in patients. The symphysis pubis is therefore clinically important and should not be omitted in the differential diagnosis of a vulvar mass and/or chronic abdominal pain.</p
A Case of Osteoclast-like Giant Cell Tumor of the Pancreas with Ductal Adenocarcinoma: Histopathological, Immunohistochemical, Ultrastructural and Molecular Biological Studies
Osteoclast-like giant cell tumor of the pancreas is a very rare neoplasm, of which the histiogenesis remains controversial. A 63-yr-old woman was hospitalized for evaluation of epigastric pain. An abdominal computerized tomography revealed the presence of a large cystic mass, arising from the tail of pancreas. A distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy was performed. Histologically, the tumor was composed of mononuclear stromal cells intermingled with osteclast-like giant cells. In addition, there was a small area of moderately to well differentiated ductal adenocarcinoma. The final pathologic diagnosis was osteoclast-like giant cell tumor of the pancreas with ductal adenocarcinoma. Here, we describe the histopathological, immunohistochemical, ultrastructural and molecular biological findings of this tumor with review of the literature pertaining to this condition
Menstrual and Reproductive Factors and Risk of Gastric and Colorectal Cancer in Spain
BACKGROUND:
Sex hormones play a role in gastric cancer and colorectal cancer etiology, however, epidemiological evidence is inconsistent. This study examines the influence of menstrual and reproductive factors over the risk of both tumors.
METHODS:
In this case-control study 128 women with gastric cancer and 1293 controls, as well as 562 female and colorectal cancer cases and 1605 controls were recruited in 9 and 11 Spanish provinces, respectively. Population controls were frequency matched to cases by age and province. Demographic and reproductive data were directly surveyed by trained staff. The association with gastric, colon and rectal cancer was assessed using logistic and multinomial mixed regression models.
RESULTS:
Our results show an inverse association of age at first birth with gastric cancer risk (five-year trend: OR = 0.69; p-value = 0.006). Ever users of hormonal contraception presented a decreased risk of gastric (OR = 0.42; 95%CI = 0.26-0.69), colon (OR = 0.64; 95%CI = 0.48-0.86) and rectal cancer (OR = 0.61; 95%CI = 0.43-0.88). Postmenopausal women who used hormone replacement therapy showed a decreased risk of colon and rectal tumors. A significant interaction of educational level with parity and months of first child lactation was also observed.
CONCLUSION:
These findings suggest a protective role of exogenous hormones in gastric and colorectal cancer risk. The role of endogenous hormones remains unclear
Linking the community structure of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and plants: a story of interdependence?
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are crucial to plants and vice versa, but little is known about the factors linking the community structure of the two groups. We investigated the association between AMF and the plant community structure in the nearest neighborhood of Festuca brevipila in a semiarid grassland with steep environmental gradients, using high-throughput sequencing of the Glomeromycotina (former Glomeromycota). We focused on the Passenger, Driver and Habitat hypotheses: (i) plant communities drive AMF (passenger); (ii) AMF communities drive the plants (driver); (iii) the environment shapes both communities causing covariation. The null hypothesis is that the two assemblages are independent and this study offers a spatially explicit novel test of it in the field at multiple, small scales. The AMF community consisted of 71 operational taxonomic units, the plant community of 47 species. Spatial distance and spatial variation in the environment were the main determinants of the AMF community. The structure of the plant community around the focal plant was a poor predictor of AMF communities, also in terms of phylogenetic community structure. Some evidence supports the passenger hypothesis, but the relative roles of the factors structuring the two groups clearly differed, leading to an apparent decoupling of the two assemblages at the relatively small scale of this study.
