RER is one of the most important economic variables, especially in today\u27s conditions of integration processes, the removal of trade barriers and increasing direct competition between countries. RER behavior affects the economy in microeconomic terms defining the allocation of resources between the tradable sector and the non-tradable sector. RER affects economy also in macroeconomic terms, through its impact on key economic variables, such as economic growth, employment and inflation. But RER itself is affected by economic variables. The aim of this paper is to examine the economic fundamentals that determine the level of the RER in Albania and the extent of influence of each of them. A log linear regression model is used to assess the impact of relative price of non-tradable to tradable goods, openness, foreign direct investment, remittances, real GDP per capita and government expenditures in defining the level of RER. The Johansen cointegration test suggests a relationship among the variables. The finding is that trade openness and real income per capita are insignificant variables, while the others are important in defining the level of RER

The new information and communication technologies help developingcountries to offer necessary services for the community which could not have theseservices with the traditional ways. We conducted a research and found that inAlbania exist underserved people in terms of access to financial services. As a resultan information system is needed for financial services inclusion. We considerdifferent experiences in other countries in similar situation to see what will be thesolution to address this issue. Innovative solutions are used in the world to offersfinancial services in a way that is safe, affordable and convenient for all. Theseinnovative solutions differ from each other in three fundamental ways: technologyplatform; user interface and wireless communications channel; provider of thesolution. After a study we made we found that in Albania the most appropriatesolution in terms of technology platform used is the solution that needs a mobilenetwork in the system and a mobile phone for the customer and agent.Analyzing the data collected using the direct-contact method with therepresentatives of possible providers and consulting different sources of informationwe will find the most appropriate solution in terms of the user interface and wirelesscommunications channel

The Role of The Technology in Developing Economies - Case of Albania

    Get PDF
We propose a theory of Economic Development in which technology adoption and barriers to such adoption are the focus. The size of these barriers differs across countries and time. The larger these barriers, the greater the investment a society must take to adopt a more advanced technology. The model base lied to the western countries, which have received a great and huge development of technology and goes away in an observation about the adaption of such technology by Albanian Economy, as a developing country. We are focus in identification of the main barriers affronted by Albania Economy finding the correlation between the difficulties in adaptation with such technology and the Albania social and economic environment. After twenty long years of transition we recommend, as the main road which will lead in an economic development based on the more advanced technology, the strongest Reform in Education

The announcement that I have prepared has been carried out in the framework of doctoral studies. At the center of the work are the habits and label wedding songs. Much of the material used is captured by researches that I have carried out in the field, from archive polyphonic groups near DRKK Vlora and literature. In this paper I will present a picture of the customs and key moments of the wedding of the province of Labia associated with singing songs in each case. The wedding arrangements that accompanied the songs will be presented, because joy should be felt throughout the house, its development in the daughter's and son's house, the wedding reception and the wedding closing on Monday. In conclusion we will also mention the weddings on this day

Red and White Blood Cell Counts Are Associated With Bone Marrow Adipose Tissue, Bone Mineral Density, and Bone Microarchitecture in Premenopausal Women

Bone marrow adipose tissue (BMAT) resides within the bone marrow microenvironment where its function remains poorly understood. BMAT is elevated in anorexia nervosa, a disease model of chronic starvation, despite depletion of other fat depots. In addition to BMAT, the marrow microenvironment also consists of osteoblast and hematopoietic progenitors. BMAT is inversely associated with bone mineral density (BMD) in multiple populations including women with anorexia nervosa, and regulates hematopoiesis in animal models. We hypothesized that BMAT would be associated with circulating populations of hematopoietic cells (red and white blood cells) in humans and performed a post hoc analysis of two studies—a cross‐sectional study and a longitudinal study—to investigate this hypothesis. We studied 89 premenopausal women cross‐sectionally (median age [interquartile range], 27 [24.5, 31.7] years), including 35 with anorexia nervosa. We investigated associations between red blood cell (RBC) and white blood cell (WBC) counts and BMAT assessed by 1H‐magnetic resonance spectroscopy, BMD assessed by DXA, and bone microarchitecture assessed by HR‐pQCT. In addition, we analyzed longitudinal data in six premenopausal women with anorexia nervosa treated with transdermal estrogen for 6 months and measured changes in BMAT and blood cell counts during treatment. Cross‐sectionally, BMAT was inversely associated with WBC and RBC counts. In contrast, BMD and parameters of bone microarchitecture were positively associated with WBC and RBC. In women with anorexia nervosa treated with transdermal estrogen for 6 months, decreases in BMAT were significantly associated with increases in both RBC and hematocrit (rho = −0.83, p = 0.04 for both). In conclusion, we show that BMAT is inversely associated with WBC and RBC in premenopausal women, and there is a potential association between longitudinal changes in BMAT and changes in RBC. These associations warrant further study and may provide further insight into the role and function of this understudied adipose depot. © 2020 American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.Peer Reviewedhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/155991/1/jbmr3986.pdfhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/155991/2/jbmr3986_am.pd

How active perception and attractor dynamics shape perceptual categorization: A computational model

    Get PDF
We propose a computational model of perceptual categorization that fuses elements of grounded and sensorimotor theories of cognition with dynamic models of decision-making. We assume that category information consists in anticipated patterns of agent–environment interactions that can be elicited through overt or covert (simulated) eye movements, object manipulation, etc. This information is firstly encoded when category information is acquired, and then re-enacted during perceptual categorization. The perceptual categorization consists in a dynamic competition between attractors that encode the sensorimotor patterns typical of each category; action prediction success counts as ‘‘evidence’’ for a given category and contributes to falling into the corresponding attractor. The evidence accumulation process is guided by an active perception loop, and the active exploration of objects (e.g., visual exploration) aims at eliciting expected sensorimotor patterns that count as evidence for the object category. We present a computational model incorporating these elements and describing action prediction, active perception, and attractor dynamics as key elements of perceptual categorizations. We test the model in three simulated perceptual categorization tasks, and we discuss its relevance for grounded and sensorimotor theories of cognition.Peer reviewe

A Dynamic Contextual Change Management Application for Real Time Decision-Making Support

    Get PDF
Decision making is a fundamental process within organizations for many reasons. It is indeed involved at all levels (new product decisions, management and marketing decisions, etc.) and has a direct impact on companies’ efficiency and effectiveness. Many researches are conducted to enhance the decision-making process by proposing decision support systems where the most frequent challenge is the change management. Indeed, all businesses operate within an environment that is subject to constant changes (like new customers’ needs and requirements, organisational and technological changes, changes in key information used to derive decisions, etc.). These changes have a major impact on the quality and accuracy of the proposed decision if they are not detected and propagated, at the right time, during the decision-making process. The present work attempts to resolve this challenge by proposing a dynamic change management technique that allows three tasks to be automatically performed. First, continuously detect changes and note them. Second, retrieve from the detected changes those that are related to the decision rules. Finally, propagate them by computing the new value of the decision rule. The proposal has been fully implemented and tested in the supervision process of gas network exploitation.projet FUI Gontran
