Density pertubation of unparticle dark matter in the flat Universe
The unparticle has been suggested as a candidate of dark matter. We
investigated the growth rate of the density perturbation for the unparticle
dark matter in the flat Universe. First, we consider the model in which
unparticle is the sole dark matter and find that the growth factor can be
approximated well by , where is
the equation of state of unparticle. Our results show that the presence of
modifies the behavior of the growth factor . For the second model
where unparticle co-exists with cold dark matter, the growth factor has a new
approximation and
is a function of . Thus the growth factor of unparticle is quite
different from that of usual dark matter. These information can help us know
more about unparticle and the early evolution of the Universe.Comment: 6pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in Eur. Phys. J.
Cytogenetic and molecular identification of a new wheat-Thinopyrum intermedium addition line with resistance to powdery mildew
Thinopyrum intermedium, which has many useful traits, is valuable for wheat breeding. A new wheat-Thinopyrum addition line, SN100109, was developed from the progeny of common wheat cultivar Yannong 15 and Th. intermedium. It was resistant to most races of Blumeria graminis f. sp tritici (Bgt), which caused powdery mildew in wheat, and its reactions were different from the reactions of gene Pm40 and Pm43. Genomic in situ hybridization (GISH) and molecular marker analysis were used to identify the genomic composition of SN100109. GISH results showed that SN100109 was a wheat-Th. intermedium disomic addition line containing one pair of J chromosomes, and the resistance gene was located on the alien additional chromosomes of SN100109. And four molecular markers BE425942, BF482714, Xgdm93 and BV679214 which were assigned to homologous group 2, were specific molecular markers of the additional chromosomes. All the results indicated that SN100109 contained one pair of 2J chromosomes. SN100109 can be used as a novel germplasm source for introducing powdery mildew resistance genes to wheat in breeding programs
Three-Particle Correlations from Parton Cascades in Au+Au Collisions
We present a study of three-particle correlations among a trigger particle
and two associated particles in Au + Au collisions at = 200 GeV
using a multi-phase transport model (AMPT) with both partonic and hadronic
interactions. We found that three-particle correlation densities in different
angular directions with respect to the triggered particle (`center', `cone',
`deflected', `near' and `near-away') increase with the number of participants.
The ratio of `deflected' to `cone' density approaches to 1.0 with the
increasing of number of participants, which indicates that partonic Mach-like
shock waves can be produced by strong parton cascades in central Au+Au
collisions.Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures; Final version to appear in Physics Letters
Scaling of anisotropy flows in intermediate energy heavy ion collisions
Anisotropic flows (, and ) of light nuclear clusters are
studied by a nucleonic transport model in intermediate energy heavy ion
collisions. The number-of-nucleon scalings of the directed flow () and
elliptic flow () are demonstrated for light nuclear clusters. Moreover,
the ratios of of nuclear clusters show a constant value of 1/2
regardless of the transverse momentum. The above phenomena can be understood by
the coalescence mechanism in nucleonic level and are worthy to be explored in
experiments.Comment: Invited talk at "IX International Conference on Nucleus-Nucleus

Di-hadron azimuthal correlation and Mach-like cone structure in parton/hadron transport model
In the framework of a multi-phase transport model (AMPT) with both partonic
and hadronic interactions, azimuthal correlations between trigger particles and
associated scattering particles have been studied by the mixing-event
technique. The momentum ranges of these particles are
GeV/ and GeV/ (soft), or 4
GeV/ and GeV/ (hard) in Au + Au collisions at
= 200 GeV. A Mach-like structure has been observed in
correlation functions for central collisions. By comparing scenarios with and
without parton cascade and hadronic rescattering, we show that both partonic
and hadronic dynamical mechanisms contribute to the Mach-like structure of the
associated particle azimuthal correlations. The contribution of hadronic
dynamical process can not be ignored in the emergence of Mach-like correlations
of the soft scattered associated hadrons. However, hadronic rescattering alone
cannot reproduce experimental amplitude of Mach-like cone on away-side, and the
parton cascade process is essential to describe experimental amplitude of
Mach-like cone on away-side. In addition, both the associated multiplicity and
the sum of decrease, whileas the increases, with the impact
parameter in the AMPT model including partonic dynamics from string melting
scenario.Comment: 9 pages, 5 figures; Physics Letters B 641, 362-367 (2006
Vanishing Effective Mass of the Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay?
We stress that massive neutrinos may be Majorana particles even if the
effective mass of the neutrinoless double beta decay m_ee vanishes. We show
that current neutrino oscillation data do allow m_ee = 0 to hold, if the
Majorana CP-violating phases lie in two specific regions. Strong constraints on
three neutrino masses can then be obtained. We find that the neutrino mass
spectrum performs a normal hierarchy: m_1 < m_2 < m_3. A possible texture of
the neutrino mass matrix is also illustrated under the m_ee = 0 condition.Comment: RevTex 9 pages (2 PS figures included). More discussions and

Fully supersymmetric CP violations in the kaon system
We show that, on the contrary to the usual claims, fully supersymmetric CP
violations in the kaon system are possible through the gluino mediated flavor
changing interactions. Both and can be accommodated for relatively large without any
fine tunings or contradictions to the FCNC and EDM constraints.Comment: Contribution to the Proceedings of ICHEP2000, Osaka, 200
Feasibility of time-lapse AVO and AVOA analysis to monitor compaction-induced seismic anisotropy
Hydrocarbon reservoir production generally results in observable time-lapse physical property changes, such as velocity increases within a compacting reservoir. However, the physical property changes that lead to velocity changes can be difficult to isolate uniquely. Thus, integrated hydro-mechanical simulation, stress-sensitive rock physics models and time-lapse seismic modelling workflows can be employed to study the influence of velocity changes and induced seismic anisotropy due to reservoir compaction. We study the influence of reservoir compaction and compartmentalization on time-lapse seismic signatures for reflection amplitude variation with offset (AVO) and azimuth (AVOA). Specifically, the time-lapse AVO and AVOA responses are predicted for two models: a laterally homogeneous four-layer dipping model and a laterally heterogeneous graben structure reservoir model. Seismic reflection coefficients for different offsets and azimuths are calculated for compressional (P–P) and converted shear (P–S) waves using an anisotropic ray tracer as well as using approximate equations for AVO and AVOA. The simulations help assess the feasibility of using time-lapse AVO and AVOA signatures to monitor reservoir compartmentalization as well as evaluate induced stress anisotropy due to changes in the effective stress field. The results of this study indicate that time-lapse AVO and AVOA analysis can be applied as a potential means for qualitatively and semi-quantitatively linking azimuthal anisotropy changes caused by reservoir production to pressure/stress changes
Scaling of Anisotropic Flow and Momentum-Space Densities for Light Particles in Intermediate Energy Heavy Ion Collisions
Anisotropic flows ( and ) of light nuclear clusters are studied by
Isospin-Dependent Quantum Molecular Dynamics model for the system of Kr
+ Sn at intermediate energy and large impact parameters.
Number-of-nucleon scaling of the elliptic flow () are demonstrated for the
light fragments up to = 4, and the ratio of shows a constant
value of 1/2. In addition, the momentum-space densities of different clusters
are also surveyed as functions of transverse momentum, in-plane transverse
momentum and azimuth angle relative to the reaction plane. The results can be
essentially described by momentum-space power law. All the above phenomena
indicate that there exists a number-of-nucleon scaling for both anisotropic
flow and momentum-space densities for light clusters, which can be understood
by the coalescence mechanism in nucleonic degree of freedom for the cluster
formation.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures; to be published in Physics Letters
