Caracterització de Caves mitjançant cromatografia de líquids

This beverage is made by the Champanoise method, which requires a secondary fermentation in the bottle. Polyphenols are one of the principal components of Cava. These substances not only are responsible for some of the unique properties of Cava but, also, can be used as chemical descriptors to discriminate among samples of different varieties and compositions. In the present project, 10 types of Cavas from different varieties of grapes were characterized according to their polyphenolic profile, which was obtained by high performance liquid chromatography with UV-visible detection at different wavelengths (250, 280, 310, 370 nm). A total of 18 polyphenols were studied. Two different approaches (chromatograms and integrated peak areas, also referred to as fingerprinting and profiling approaches, respectively) were used to build principal component analysis (PCA) models focused on the differentiation among the samples. Both models presented an excellent discriminant ability. Besides, with the profiling model the most characteristic polyphenolic compounds of each kind of Cava were identified. Finally, the chromatograms registered at 310 nm were used to build partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) models which allowed the classification of the Cava samples according to their type, and “unknown” samples belonging to a new test set were correctly assigned to their corresponding classe

The Restructuring Process of the University of Guadalajara: Benefits After 25 Years of the Jalisco University Network

The restructuring of the University of Guadalajara of schools and faculties by thematic and regional University Centers make up the University Network. Our objective of this work is to analyze and identify the contributions of the University Network within the framework of its social responsibility, through teaching, the extension of services, as well as cultural production and dissemination, its impact on regional development. The decentralization and regionalization of administrative and academic functions was complex. The link with social responsibility through teaching was aimed at solving problems in the communities. The academics designed research projects linked to the actions of the City Councils, the business sector and social groups. Results: the Jalisco University Network, due to the educational, economic and cultural impact, has fostered the permanence of young people in their communities, in addition to generating internal and external mobility of students and teachers; greater interaction of the university with the different social and productive sectors. Higher education functions as an integrating instrument in the regional development of the State of Jalisco

Estilos de liderazgo ante la contingencia COVID 19: Estilos de liderança frente à contingência COVID 19

Este trabajo da cuenta de los estilos de liderazgo que se identifican necesarios y emergentes ante la pandemia del Covid-19; que ha generado una crisis mundial de salud y como consecuencia, también económica, social y cultural.  Para tal efecto, se hace un análisis y estudio bibliométrico del estilo de liderazgo del líder ante las crisis por la pandemia.  Responde a las preguntas de investigación ¿Cuáles son los estilos de liderazgo, estrategias, resultados y retos de los líderes de los países ante las crisis del Covid-19?  Como es el caso de los presidentes de Estados Unidos de Norte América, Brasil y México; mientras que las presidentas de Taiwán, Dinamarca y Alemania, actuaron de forma inmediata y tomaron decisiones asertivas para enfrentar la crisis y no la evadieron. El hallazgo principal del estudio, arroja que es necesario nuevos estilos de liderazgo en la pandemia y que estos son efectivos ante una crisis

Spitzer Infrared Observations and Independent Validation of the Transiting Super-Earth CoRoT-7b

The detection and characterization of the first transiting super-Earth, CoRoT-7 b, has required an unprecedented effort in terms of telescope time and analysis. Although the star does display a radial velocity signal at the period of the planet, this has been difficult to disentangle from the intrinsic stellar variability, and pinning down the velocity amplitude has been very challenging. As a result, the precise value of the mass of the planet - and even the extent to which it can be considered to be confirmed - have been debated in the recent literature, with six mass measurements published so far based on the same spectroscopic observations, ranging from about 2 to 8 Earth masses. Here we report on an independent validation of the planet discovery, using one of the fundamental properties of a transit signal: its achromaticity. We observed four transits of CoRoT-7 b with Spitzer, in order to determine whether the depth of the transit signal in the near-infrared is consistent with that observed in the CoRoT bandpass, as expected for a planet. We detected the transit and found an average depth of 0.426 {\pm} 0.115 mmag at 4.5 {\mu}m, which is in good agreement with the depth of 0.350 {\pm} 0.011 mmag found by CoRoT. These observations place important constraints on the kinds of astrophysical false positives that could mimic the signal. Combining this with additional constraints reported earlier, we performed an exhaustive exploration of possible blends scenarios for CoRoT-7 b using the BLENDER technique. We are able to rule out the vast majority of false positives, and the remaining ones are found to be much less likely than a true transiting planet. We thus validate CoRoT-7 b as a bona-fide planet with a very high degree of confidence, independently of any radial-velocity information. KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES AND PREFERENCES AMONG SPANISH COMMUNITY PHARMACISTS REGARDING INHALED THERAPY (THE OPTIM PHARMACY STUDY)

Objective: To assess knowledge, attitudes, and preferences regarding inhaled therapy among Spanish community pharmacists.Methods: An 11-item questionnaire was developed and distributed to community pharmacists throughout the country. Data collected included demographics, the source of knowledge of inhaler use, known and preferred devices, steps for correct use of metered-dose (pMDI) and dry-powder (DPI) inhalers, important variables when prescribing an inhaler device, patient education, and checking inhaler technique.Results: Of a total of 3000 questionnaires delivered, 1722 (57.4%) were returned. The most common source of knowledge was the package insert (46.9%) followed by personal experience (33.3%). DiskusTM and TurbuhalerTM were the best-known devices (96.4% and 93.4%), and DPIs the preferred inhalers. Although more than half of the surveyed pharmacists were aware of the most important step for correct inhalation with pMDI and DPI, only 18% identified the correct answer ‘Patient's preference' as the most important variable when prescribing an inhaler device. Most of the respondents had inadequate knowledge of inhaled therapies. Statistically, significant differences were found according to geographical areas. Moreover, the mean score on inhaled therapy with one knowledge source was higher than for those with none (P<0.05). Additionally, patient education was poor.Conclusion: In spite of the increasing involvement of Spanish community pharmacists in patients' care, their knowledge of inhaler use and attitudes towards inhaled therapy needs to improve, so that they can provide better patient education

Invisibilidad del liderazgo femenino: forma simbólica de violentar a la mujer: Invisibility of female leadership: a symbolic way of raping women

En el siglo XX, se  reconoció las demandas de las mujeres,  pora la mujer tener acceso a la educación, presencia en la política y participación en profesiones que eran consideradas para hombres, como: ingenierías, jurídicas, medicina en algunas especialidades, entre otras, así como el avance de leyes, normas y reglamentos, acuerdos nacionales e internacionales en pro de la equidad de género. El siglo XXI fue declarado por la ONU como el siglo de la mujer, sin embargo, la invisibilidad del liderazgo femenino sigue siendo una de las formas discriminatorias a las que se enfrenta la mujer, así como las pocas oportunidades que tiene para alcanzar los puestos de más alto nivel en empresas e instituciones; los grupos de dominio en estas áreas siguen siendo de hombres.  Es por ello, que este estudio analiza las teorías, dogmas, y síndromes que han justificado el fenómeno de discriminar a la mujer mediante la invisibilidad. Para ello, se analiza casos de lideresas de México y de España que a los historiadores se les olvidó mencionar, es por ello, que las nuevas generaciones no las conocen y se forma una ideología en pro del hombre, ya que la mujer es invisible, esto es invisibilidad femenina, una forma simbólica de violentar a la mujer
