MoSe2 / polyaniline solar cells
Solar cells have been investigated since long for harnessing the solar energy. During this decade, a new direction has come up where in the polymers have been used in the fabrication of solar cells. Polyaniline is one of the polymers which has shown potential for its applications in heterostructure solar cells. This material is being used along with the semiconductors like InSe, TiO2, Si etc. to form the photosensitive interface. In this
direction, we report our inv estigations on the use of Molybdenum diselenide (MoSe2) as photosensitive semiconducting material in MoSe2 / polyaniline solar cells. In this paper,
the preparation of MoSe2 / polyaniline solar cells has been reported. Also, the photovoltage ® photocurrent characteristics of this structure have been discussed in detail in this paper. The variation of different parameters of MoSe2 / polyaniline solar cells (like open circuit voltage, short circuit current, photoconversion efficiency and fill factor) with the intensity of incident illuminations has been reported in this paper. In
present case, the photocurrent density was found to be around 250 μA/cm2 with the photovoltage around 8.5 mV (which is low) the photoconversion efficiency was found to be around 0.7 % along with the fill factor around 0.33. The efforts have been made to explain the low values of the photoconversion efficiency.

Long term impact of different cropping systems on soil quality under silty loam soils of Indo-Gangetic plains of India
In a multi-enterprise agriculture model, six different cropping systems have been evaluated at research farm of CSSRI Karnal for nutrient availability in surface soil. All the cropping systems left tremendous effect on soil quality. Among the different cropping systems, sorghum-berseem maintained lowest soil pH (8.14) followed by cowpea-cauliflower-potato cropping system (8.35). Sorghum-berseem cropping system was significantly build-up of soil fertility in terms of available nitrogen, (221.1kg/ha) and soil organic carbon (0.59%) as compared to other cropping systems. However, phosphorus (59.80 kg/ha) availability was higher in vegetable system followed by wheat-green gram cropping systems (48.85 kg/ha) than the other cropping systems. Vegetable system of multi-enterprise agriculture model showed more availability of Ca (3.20 me/L), Mg (2.63 me/L) and S (11.71 me/L) than other cropping systems. Higher amount of Fe (8.44 mg/kg) was observed in maize-wheat-green gram cropping system, whereas higher Mn (6.37 mg/kg) was noticed in sorghum-berseem fodder system than the other cropping system. Zn and Cu availability was relatively higher in vegetable system. Under prevailing climatic conditions of Karnal, sorghum-berseem fodder system was found to be the best with respect to soil quality and ready adaptability by the farmers as it was not much changed by climatic variability over the last 6 years. Vegetable system and fruits + vegetable were more or less similar in accelerating the availability of nutrients. Thus, leguminous crop (green gram) in any cropping system helped in improving the soil health, which is a good indicator of soil productivity
Exact Fourier expansion in cylindrical coordinates for the three-dimensional Helmholtz Green function
A new method is presented for Fourier decomposition of the Helmholtz Green
Function in cylindrical coordinates, which is equivalent to obtaining the
solution of the Helmholtz equation for a general ring source. The Fourier
coefficients of the Helmholtz Green function are split into their half
advanced+half retarded and half advanced-half retarded components. Closed form
solutions are given for these components in terms of a Horn function and a
Kampe de Feriet function, respectively. The systems of partial differential
equations associated with these two-dimensional hypergeometric functions are
used to construct a fourth-order ordinary differential equation which both
components satisfy. A second fourth-order ordinary differential equation for
the general Fourier coefficent is derived from an integral representation of
the coefficient, and both differential equations are shown to be equivalent.
Series solutions for the various Fourier coefficients are also given, mostly in
terms of Legendre functions and Bessel/Hankel functions. These are derived from
the closed form hypergeometric solutions or an integral representation, or
both. Numerical calculations comparing different methods of calculating the
Fourier coefficients are presented

In the present paper the new multiplier transformations
\mathrm{{\mathcal{J}% }}_{p}^{\delta }(\lambda ,\mu ,l) (\delta ,l\geq
0,\;\lambda \geq \mu \geq 0;\;p\in \mathrm{% }%\mathbb{N} )} of multivalent
functions is defined. Making use of the operator two new subclasses and \textbf{\ }of multivalent analytic
functions are introduced and investigated in the open unit disk. Some
interesting relations and characteristics such as inclusion relationships,
neighborhoods, partial sums, some applications of fractional calculus and
quasi-convolution properties of functions belonging to each of these subclasses
and
are
investigated. Relevant connections of the definitions and results presented in
this paper with those obtained in several earlier works on the subject are also
pointed out
Two-phase behavior in strained thin films of hole-doped manganites
We present a study of the effect of biaxial strain on the electrical and
magnetic properties of thin films of manganites. We observe that manganite
films grown under biaxial compressive strain exhibit island growth morphology
which leads to a non-uniform distribution of the strain. Transport and magnetic
properties of these films suggest the coexistence of two different phases, a
metallic ferromagnet and an insulating antiferromagnet. We suggest that the
high strain regions are insulating while the low strain regions are metallic.
In such non-uniformly strained samples, we observe a large magnetoresistance

Sealant Effectiveness for Children Receiving a Combination of Preventive Methods in a Fluoridated Community: Two-Year Results
A series of preventive methods in combination have been used to reduce dental caries in children including dental health education, prophylaxes, pit and fissure sealants, topical application of fluoride and restorative care. Prophylaxes, sealant, and fluoride procedures are repeated every six months. Two-year results show reductions of occlusal caries increments of 74.3% for first graders and 77.1% for sixth graders. Sealant loss, as defined in this study, varied from 33% to 90% with the highest loss occurring in the newly erupted permanent molars during the first six months of the project. These high sealant loss rates are thought to be related to the age of the population which was designed to include children at the ages of peak eruption of permanent molar teeth (ages six and twelve). These teeth were often only minimally erupted and maintaining the dry field required for sealant retention was extremely difficult. However, in spite of these high rates of sealant loss, caries reduction on occlusal surfaces was highly significant in comparison to that of children who did not receive sealants.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/68154/2/10.1177_00220345770560121801.pd
Pion, kaon, proton and anti-proton transverse momentum distributions from p+p and d+Au collisions at GeV
Identified mid-rapidity particle spectra of , , and
from 200 GeV p+p and d+Au collisions are reported. A
time-of-flight detector based on multi-gap resistive plate chamber technology
is used for particle identification. The particle-species dependence of the
Cronin effect is observed to be significantly smaller than that at lower
energies. The ratio of the nuclear modification factor () between
protons and charged hadrons () in the transverse momentum
range GeV/c is measured to be
(stat)(syst) in minimum-bias collisions and shows little
centrality dependence. The yield ratio of in minimum-bias d+Au
collisions is found to be a factor of 2 lower than that in Au+Au collisions,
indicating that the Cronin effect alone is not enough to account for the
relative baryon enhancement observed in heavy ion collisions at RHIC.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, 1 table. We extended the pion spectra from

Demonstration of the temporal matter-wave Talbot effect for trapped matter waves
We demonstrate the temporal Talbot effect for trapped matter waves using
ultracold atoms in an optical lattice. We investigate the phase evolution of an
array of essentially non-interacting matter waves and observe matter-wave
collapse and revival in the form of a Talbot interference pattern. By using
long expansion times, we image momentum space with sub-recoil resolution,
allowing us to observe fractional Talbot fringes up to 10th order.Comment: 17 pages, 7 figure
Single Spin Asymmetry in Polarized Proton-Proton Elastic Scattering at GeV
We report a high precision measurement of the transverse single spin
asymmetry at the center of mass energy GeV in elastic
proton-proton scattering by the STAR experiment at RHIC. The was measured
in the four-momentum transfer squared range \GeVcSq, the region of a significant interference between the
electromagnetic and hadronic scattering amplitudes. The measured values of
and its -dependence are consistent with a vanishing hadronic spin-flip
amplitude, thus providing strong constraints on the ratio of the single
spin-flip to the non-flip amplitudes. Since the hadronic amplitude is dominated
by the Pomeron amplitude at this , we conclude that this measurement
addresses the question about the presence of a hadronic spin flip due to the
Pomeron exchange in polarized proton-proton elastic scattering.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figure
