Supersymmetry Searches in GUT Models with Non-Universal Scalar Masses
We study SO(10), SU(5) and flipped SU(5) GUT models with non-universal soft
supersymmetry-breaking scalar masses, exploring how they are constrained by LHC
supersymmetry searches and cold dark matter experiments, and how they can be
probed and distinguished in future experiments. We find characteristic
differences between the various GUT scenarios, particularly in the
coannihilation region, which is very sensitive to changes of parameters. For
example, the flipped SU(5) GUT predict the possibility of
coannihilation, which is absent in the regions of the SO(10) and SU(5) GUT
parameter spaces that we study. We use the relic density predictions in
different models to determine upper bounds for the neutralino masses, and we
find large differences between different GUT models in the sparticle spectra
for the same LSP mass, leading to direct connections of distinctive possible
experimental measurements with the structure of the GUT group. We find that
future LHC searches for generic missing , charginos and stops will be able
to constrain the different GUT models in complementary ways, as will the Xenon
1 ton and Darwin dark matter scattering experiments and future FERMI or CTA

La práctica del ciclismo indoor en los mayores: implicaciones metodológicas
Uno de los cambios más caracterÃsticos de la época tecnológica en la que nos encontramos inmersos, es el envejecimiento de la población y la consecuente inversión de la pirámide poblacional. Dicha inversión, acentúa la necesidad de diseñar y extender planes de actuación que promuevan actividades fÃsico-recreativas continuadas con intensidades, cargas y ejercicios especÃficos totalmente adaptados a las caracterÃsticas de esta población. La propuesta que aquà presentamos se basa en la práctica del ciclo indoor, que representa una experiencia fundamental para el desarrollo integral de la persona. Esta práctica puede considerarse una terapia imprescindible para la estimulación y reeducación de las habilidades concretas de esta población, asà como para la adquisición de técnicas de comunicación social, a la vez que realizan una actividad lúdica y placentera. Mediante un programa de actividad fÃsica de este tipo, se pretende aumentar las posibilidades funcionales, al tiempo que se mejora las psico-afectivas, y con ello la calidad de vida de nuestros mayores
A stable anthraquinone-derivative cathode to develop sodium metal batteries: the role of ammoniates as electrolytes
Rechargeable sodium metal batteries constitute a cost-effective option for energy storage although sodium shows some drawbacks in terms of reactivity with organic solvents and dendritic growth. Here we demonstrate that an organic dye, indanthrone blue, behaves as an efficient cathode material for the development of secondary sodium metal batteries when combined with novel inorganic electrolytes. These electrolytes are ammonia solvates, known as liquid ammoniates, which can be formulated as NaI·3.3NH3 and NaBF4·2.5NH3. They impart excellent stability to sodium metal, and they favor sodium non-dendritic growth linked to their exceedingly high sodium ion concentration. This advantage is complemented by a high specific conductivity. The battery described here can last hundreds of cycles at 10 C while keeping a Coulombic efficiency of 99% from the first cycle. Because of the high capacity of the cathode and the superior physicochemical properties of the electrolytes, the battery can reach a specific energy value as high as 210 Wh kg−1IB, and a high specific power of 2.2 kW kg−1IB, even at below room temperature (4 °C). Estimation of the Interaction Forces in a Compliant pHRI Gripper
Physical human–robot interaction (pHRI) is an essential skill for robots expected to work with humans, such as assistive or rescue robots. However, due to hard safety and compliance constraints, pHRI is still underdeveloped in practice. Tactile sensing is vital for pHRI, as constant occlusions while grasping make it hard to rely on vision or range sensors alone. More specifically, measuring interaction forces in the gripper is crucial to avoid injuries, predict user intention and perform successful collaborative movements. This work exploits the inherent compliance of a gripper with four underactuated fingers which was previously designed by the authors and designed to manipulate human limbs. A new analytical model is proposed to calculate the external interaction forces by combining all finger forces, which are estimated by using the gripper proprioceptive sensor readings uniquely. An experimental evaluation of the method and an example application in a control system with active compliance have been included to evaluate performance. The results prove that the proposed finger arrangement offers good performance at measuring the lateral interaction forces and torque around the gripper’s Z-axis, providing a convenient and efficient way of implementing adaptive and compliant grasping for pHRI applications.This work was supported by the Universidad de Málaga, project UMA20-FEDERJA-052. Consumer-brand relationships under the marketing 3.0 paradigm: A literature review
Consumer-brand relationships encompass several dimensions, most of which have attracted growing research attention during the last years. Building these relationships is especially important in the marketing 3.0 era, where it is suggested that customers will choose those brands that satisfy their deepest needs. With these ideas in mind, this article provides a review of two key concepts implied in such relationships: brand love and customer engagement. Although both conceptions focus on different stages of consumer-brand relationships, they actually cover different perspectives on the same process. Moreover, they come from diverse conceptual paradigms: whilst brand love comes from the psychology discipline, engagement derives from diverse areas of the marketing field (e.g., the service-dominant logic perspective). However, their further empirical developments have taken place in marketing. Besides, both terms appear to be applied to different empirical perspectives: brand love is usually linked to the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry and customer engagement to services
Long-range ferromagnetism of Mn12 acetate single-molecule magnets under a transverse magnetic field
We use neutron diffraction to probe the magnetization components of a crystal
of Mn12 single-molecule magnets. Each of these molecules behaves, at low
temperatures, as a nanomagnet with spin S = 10 and strong anisotropy along the
crystallographic c axis. Application of a magnetic field perpendicular to c
induces quantum tunneling between opposite spin orientations, enabling the
spins to attain thermal equilibrium. Below approximately 0.9 K, intermolecular
interactions turn this equilibrium state into a ferromagnetically ordered
phase. However, long range ferromagnetic correlations nearly disappear for
fields larger 5.5 T, possibly suggesting the existence of a quantum critical

Cognitive Fusion Mediates the Relationship between Dispositional Mindfulness and Negative Affects: A Study in a Sample of Spanish Children and Adolescent School Students
Nowadays, mindfulness-based interventions (MBI) have experienced a remarkable
development of studies among childhood and adolescent interventions. For this reason, dispositional
mindfulness (DM) measures for children and adolescents have been developed to determine the
e ectiveness of MBI at this age stage. However, little is known about how key elements of
DM (for example, cognitive de/fusion or experiential avoidance that both confirm psychological
inflexibility) are involved in the mechanisms of the children and adolescents’ mental health outcomes.
This research examined the mediating e ect of cognitive fusion between DM and anxiety and other
negative emotional states in a sample of 318 Spanish primary-school students (aged between 8 and 16
years, M = 11.24, SD = 2.19, 50.8% males). Participants completed the AFQ-Y (Avoidance and Fusion
Questionnaire for youth), which is a measure of psychological inflexibility that encompasses cognitive
defusion and experiential avoidance; CAMM (DM for children and adolescents), PANAS-N (positive
and negative a ect measure for children, Spanish version of PANASC), and STAIC (an anxiety
measure for children). The study accomplished ethical standards. As MBI relevant literature has
suggested, cognitive defusion was a significant mediator betweenDMand symptoms of both negative
emotions and anxiety in children and adolescents. However, experiential avoidance did not show
any significant mediating relationship. Probably, an improvement of the assessment of experiential
avoidance is needed. MBI programs for children and adolescents may include more activities for
reducing e ects of the cognitive defusion on their emotional distress
Broad N2H+ emission towards the protostellar shock L1157-B1
We present the first detection of N2H+ towards a low-mass protostellar
outflow, namely the L1157-B1 shock, at about 0.1 pc from the protostellar
cocoon. The detection was obtained with the IRAM 30-m antenna. We observed
emission at 93 GHz due to the J = 1-0 hyperfine lines. The analysis of the
emission coupled with the HIFI CHESS multiline CO observations leads to the
conclusion that the observed N2H+(1-0) line originates from the dense (> 10^5
cm-3) gas associated with the large (20-25 arcsec) cavities opened by the
protostellar wind. We find a N2H+ column density of few 10^12 cm-2
corresponding to an abundance of (2-8) 10^-9. The N2H+ abundance can be matched
by a model of quiescent gas evolved for more than 10^4 yr, i.e. for more than
the shock kinematical age (about 2000 yr). Modelling of C-shocks confirms that
the abundance of N2H+ is not increased by the passage of the shock. In summary,
N2H+ is a fossil record of the pre-shock gas, formed when the density of the
gas was around 10^4 cm-3, and then further compressed and accelerated by the

CCSD(T) study of the far-infrared spectrum of ethyl methyl ether
10 pages, 5 figures, 9 tables.Band positions and intensities for the far-infrared bands of ethyl methyl ether are variationally determined from a three-dimensional (3D) potential energy surface calculated with CCSD(T)/cc-pVTZ theory. For this purpose, the energies of 181 selected geometries computed optimizing 3n−9 parameters are fitted to a 3D Fourier series depending on three torsional coordinates. The zero point vibrational energy correction and the search of a correct definition of the methyl torsional coordinate are taken into consideration for obtaining very accurate frequencies. In addition, second order perturbation theory is applied on the two molecular conformers, trans and cis-gauche, in order to test the validity of the 3D model. Consequently, a new assignment of previous experimental bands, congruent with the new ab initio results, is proposed. For the most stable trans-conformer, the 30, 29, and 28 fundamental transitions, computed at 115.3, 206.5, and 255.2 cm−1, are correlated with the observed bands at 115.4, 202, and 248 cm−1. For the cis-gauche the three band positions are computed at 91.0, 192.5, and 243.8 cm−1. Calculations on the −d3 isotopomer confirm our assignment. Intensities are determined at room temperature and at 10 K. Structural parameters, potential energy barriers, anharmonic frequencies for the 3n−9 neglected modes, and rotational parameters (rotational and centrifugal distortion constants), are also provided.This work has also been supported by the Ministerio de
