Educación geografíca, riesgos socioambientales y google earth

En la actualidad los riesgos socioambientales cobran innumerables vidas debido a una alta vulnerabilidad. Hay mucho que hacer desde el campo de la educación para gestionar el riesgo. La geografía de los riesgos cuenta con una tradición en donde ha planteado principios teóricos, conceptuales y metodológicos que bien podrían ser parte de una propuesta, en donde se incorporen como contenidos a un proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje. La geografia escolar aún se limita a la enseñanza tradicional de contenidos donde prima la localización y la memoria. Las nuevas tecnologías, tanto de laInformación Geográfica TIG, como de la Comunicación TIC, brindan amplias posibilidades en el campo de la enseñanza de los saberes geográficos, proporcionando al docente herramientas para fomentar una didáctica que promueva un aprendizaje significativo. The article looks at the new challenges the assertive Chinese foreign policy is representing for the regional geopolitical order in Asia. It follows the recent developments in the region mainly regarding the territorial disputes in the South China Sea and examines how the pressure in the regions are pushing China to look for other directions to its geopolitical projections, mainly toward the West implementing the New Silk Road project and deepening the cooperation with Russia. Meanwhile, the strong US presence in the Asian Pacific region was a guarantee of a “long peace” for more than 50 years. The lasting geopolitical order is changing due to the constant rise of the Chinese economy and the increasing on its military spending, challenging other Asian regional powers like India and Japan to counterbalance the Chinese influence in the region, and effectively engaging other partners like Malaysia and Philippines. China is now proposing a multidirectional attitude, trying to develop the relations towards the East as well as to the states westwards from its own borders.El artículo analiza los nuevos desafíos que la enérgica política exterior China representa para el orden geopolítico regional de Asia. Sigue los recientes cambios en la región sobre todo en lo que concierne a las disputas territoriales en el Mar del Sur de China y examina la manera en la que presión en las regiones empuja a China a mirar en otras direcciones para sus proyecciones geopolíticas, especialmente hacia Occidente al implementar el proyecto de la Nueva Ruta de la Seda y profundizando la cooperación con Rusia. Development of a wound healing index for chronic wounds

Objectives: to systematically review the literature on healing measurement tools. To develop a scale for measuring progress towards healing for chronic wounds. Material and methods: the study was conducted in two phases: Phase 1: Systematic review in major databases of health sciences (MEDLINE, CINAHL, WIDEN, SCIELO, LILACS, COCHRANE, IME) from the start of the database until 2009. Search strategy: instrument, tool, ulcer, chronic wound, healing, assessment, validation, reliability, and the same in Spanish, with their corresponding formulations using Booleans AND, OR and truncation term for some of them. The search took place initially in the thesauri and if the word did not exist, in free text. Study design not was taken. GRADE system was used to quality appraisal. Phase 2: modified Delphi study with a group of experts in chronic wounds, to reach consensus on variables that could measure the dimension of “progress towards healing”. In the first round started with all variables of the wound and the patient found in the different instruments of the systematic review. In the second round sent the items that had obtained the highest score. Finally sent the final version and experts were asked to rate on a scale of 1 to 4 to obtain the content validity index (CVI). Those variables that had obtained more than 80% CVI were included. Results: the systematic review revealed a number of 8 healing tools as set out in 20 articles (10 articles about PUSH, 3 PSST, 1 DESIGN, 1 PWAT, 1 Sessing Scale, 1 Scale Sussman, 1 WHS, CODED 1, and finally, a literature review to collect 4 of the above). Regardless of the number of items per scale, scale PSST has the best research on validity and reliability. However, most are for pressure ulcers. Only 4 papers studied validity and reliability of scales (PUSH, PSST, DESIGN and CODED). The only scale that has been validated for venous ulcers has also been the PUSH, in English and Portuguese. The only scale found in Spanish is coded, developed in the Basque Country in 2000, but only presents a partial survey. That is why they decided to develop a “de novo” scale for all types of chronic wounds. The scale developed, receives the provisional name of “RESVECH V1.0. Expected results of the assessment and evolution in the healing of chronic wounds”. CVI scores obtained by the experts above 80% on all items compose. Is defined, pending the study of validity and reliability, 9 items: size of the lesion, depth/tissue concerned, edges, maceration, perilesional, tunneling, type of tissue in the wound bed, exudate, infection/inflammation, frequency of pain (in last 10 days). The scale is scored numerically and can score ranging from 0 to 40 points, wound healed and the worst possible lesion respectively. Also accompanied by operational definitions of each item and its value-form. Conclusions: we get a scale with, a priori, content validity by expert’s assessment

Residentiel ségrégation modèle Tunja 2005: aproche de l´information géographique technologies et estatistiques spatiale

The purpose of this study was to analyze residential segregation in the city of Tunja, Colombia, through the use of spatial statistics and Geographic Information Technologies. It establishes the scale and pattern of segregation from traditional indexes, calculated through the program GeoSegregation Analyzer; And the mapping of the distribution of 11 socioeconomic groups at the census tract level with the ArcGIS 10.1 program. This study allowed to establish that the city exhibits a middle segregation and a pattern of spatial distribution similar to the present one in other cities of Latin America. The analysis of traditional indexes and the spatialization of socioeconomic variables provide a panoramic view of residential segregation and should therefore be understood as a basis for deeper studies involving other dimensions of the phenomenon.El propósito de este estudio fue analizar la segregación residencial en la ciudad de Tunja, Colombia, mediante el uso de la estadística espacial y las Tecnologías de Información Geográfica. Se establece la escala y patrón de segregación a partir de índices tradicionales, calculados por medio del programa GeoSegregation Analyser; y el mapeo de la distribución de 11 grupos socioeconómicos a nivel de secciones censales con el programa ArcGIS 10.1. Este estudio permitió establecer que la urbe exhibe una segregación media y un patrón de distribución espacial similar al presente en otras ciudades de Latinoamérica. El análisis de índices tradicionales y la espacialización de variables socioeconómicas proporcionan una visión panorámica de la segregación residencial, y por lo tanto deben entenderse como una base para realizar estudios más profundos en donde se involucren otras dimensiones del fenómeno.Le but de cette étude était d’analyser la ségrégation résidentielle dans la ville de Tunja, Colombie, en utilisant les statistiques spatiales et des technologies de l’information géographique. l’échelle et le modèle de ségrégation est établie à partir des indices traditionnels, calculées par le programme GeoSegregation Analytique; et la cartographie de la répartition des 11 groupes socio-économiques au niveau des secteurs de recensement avec ArcGIS programme 10.1. Cette étude a établi que la ville présente une ségrégation moyenne et une tendance similaire à celle présente dans d’autres villes d’Amérique latine de distribution spatiale. L’analyse des indices traditionnels et spatialisation des variables socio-économiques donnent un aperçu de la ségrégation résidentielle, et doit donc être comprise comme une base pour d’autres études où les autres dimensions du phénomène en cause

Validación para Colombia del índice RESVECH 2.0 para la valoración de cicatrización en heridas crónicas

Objective. To validate in Colombia the RESVECH 2.0 index to assess and evaluate the healing process in chronic wounds. Materials and methods. Validation study carried out in three hospitals of III - IV complexity level of attention between 2013 and 2016. Population: 120 patients with any of the injuries included in the study Statistically the sphericity test of Barlett was used, the adequacy test of the KaiserMeyer-Olkin sample, the Cronbach alpha coefficient and the Reliability test-test. Results. The RESVECH 2.0 measurement index is an instrument that allows the assessment of chronic wounds at the foot of bed in a simple way and has adequate psychometric measures. Conclusions. The RESVECH 2.0 index has high reliability and validity, reasons to be recommended to use it in clinical guidelines for the care of patients with chronic wounds.Objetivo. Validar en Colombia el índice RESVECH 2.0 para valorar y evaluar el proceso de cicatrización en heridas crónicas. Materiales y métodos. Estudio de validación realizado en tres hospitales de III - IV nivel de complejidad durante los años 2013 y 2016. Población: 120 pacientes con alguna de las lesiones incluidas en el estudio Estadísticamente se utilizaron la prueba de esfericidad de Barlett, la prueba de adecuación de la muestra de KaiserMeyer-Olkin, el Coeficiente alfa de Cronbach y la Confiabilidad test-test. Resultados. el índice de medida RESVECH 2.0 es un instrumento que permite la valoración de las heridas crónicas a pie de cama de manera sencilla y que cuenta con adecuadas medidas psicométricas. Conclusiones. El índice RESVECH 2.0 cuenta con alta fiabilidad y validez, por lo que se recomienda usarlo en guías clínicas de cuidado de pacientes con heridas crónicas en población colombiana

Propuesta de redefinición del perfil profesional del comunicador social de la universidad surcolombiana a partir de la identificación de problemas y demandas del entorno

The Social Communication and Journalism program of the Universidad Surcolombiana founded in Neiva in 1995 -has received two High Quality Accreditations-, today it advances in a Curriculum Reform process that has committed the teaching group and other actors of the academic community. The curricular reform has been assumed as a systematic research process, based on the identification of the relevant problems of the environment at various levels, which are considered guiding elements to define the adjustments to the professional profile of the communicator that is to be formed. This presentation will give the proposal to redefine the professional profile of the Social Communicator of the Usco that has been agreed by the teaching group of the program, taking into account the transformations of the communication environment, both globally and locally, the demands and needs that arise of civil society and the labor market in the department of Huila and the South- Colombian region, as well as the main trends in the field of communication and culture research and the field of professional training of communicators. The proposal to adjust the professional profile of the communicator emphasizes the urgency of consolidating a training of students in capacities as mediators and specialists in managing the sociocultural meeting and public dialogue. Strengthening the identity of the Communicator as a professional and as a social scientist is a possible task based on a relevant, comprehensive and at the same time flexible curriculum.El programa de Comunicación Social y Periodismo de la Universidad Surcolombiana, fundado en Neiva en 1995 -ha recibido dos Acreditaciones de Alta Calidad-, adelanta hoy un proceso de Reforma Curricular que ha comprometido al colectivo docente y a los demás actores de la comunidad académica. La reforma curricular se ha asumido como un proceso de investigación sistemática, que parte de la identificación de los problemas relevantes del entorno a diversos niveles, los cuales se consideran elementos orientadores para definir los ajustes al perfil profesional del comunicador que se quiere formar. Esta ponencia dará cuenta de la propuesta de redefinición del perfil profesional del Comunicador Social de la Usco que ha acordado el colectivo docente del programa, tomando en cuenta las transformaciones del entorno comunicacional, tanto en el plano global como local, las demandas y necesidades que surgen de la sociedad civil y del mercado laboral en el departamento del Huila y la región surcolombiana, así como las principales tendencias del campo de investigación en comunicación y cultura y del campo de formación profesional de los comunicadores. En la propuesta de ajustes al perfil profesional del comunicador se subraya la urgencia de consolidar una formación de los estudiantes en capacidades como mediadores y especialistas en gestionar el encuentro sociocultural y el diálogo público. Afianzar la identidad del Comunicador como profesional y como científico social, es una tarea posible a partir de un currículo pertinente, integral y al mismo tiempo flexible
