ANALISIS DETERMINAN TINGKAT INFLASI DI INDONESIA TAHUN 1980-2015
In both developing and developed countries, Inflation is one of the important
variables that affect the economy of a country.. Indonesia has been observing various
economic crises that cause high inflation rate. One of them was on the 1997-1998
economic crisis that caused massive layoffs, the exchange rate of domestic currency
experienced a very sharp depreciation of foreign currency. To overcome the crisis
various ways to do, one of them is by raising the deposit rate to keep the domestic
currency does not continue to depreciate. This study was conducted to analyze the
determinants of the inflation rate by using a simple regression approach. The variables
used are inflation, money supply, exchange rate, and interest rate. Research conducted in
the period 1980-2015.
The results in this study indicate that the exchange rate variable (D) has a
positive and significant effect on the inflation rate. Money supply variable (JUB) has a
positive and significant effect on inflation rate. In addition, the interest rate variable (I)
has a positive and significant effect on inflation. The results in this study can be
concluded that the independent exchange rate, money supply, and interest rates variable
have a positive and significant relationship to inflation

The type Ia supernova SNLS-03D3bb from a super-Chandrasekhar-mass white dwarf star
The acceleration of the expansion of the universe, and the need for Dark
Energy, were inferred from the observations of Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia).
There is consensus that SNe Ia are thermonuclear explosions that destroy
carbon-oxygen white dwarf stars that accrete matter from a companion star,
although the nature of this companion remains uncertain. SNe Ia are thought to
be reliable distance indicators because they have a standard amount of fuel and
a uniform trigger -- they are predicted to explode when the mass of the white
dwarf nears the Chandrasekhar mass -- 1.4 solar masses. Here we show that the
high redshift supernova SNLS-03D3bb has an exceptionally high luminosity and
low kinetic energy that both imply a super-Chandrasekhar mass progenitor.
Super-Chandrasekhar mass SNe Ia should preferentially occur in a young stellar
population, so this may provide an explanation for the observed trend that
overluminous SNe Ia only occur in young environments. Since this supernova does
not obey the relations that allow them to be calibrated as standard candles,
and since no counterparts have been found at low redshift, future cosmology

LSST: from Science Drivers to Reference Design and Anticipated Data Products
(Abridged) We describe here the most ambitious survey currently planned in
the optical, the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). A vast array of
science will be enabled by a single wide-deep-fast sky survey, and LSST will
have unique survey capability in the faint time domain. The LSST design is
driven by four main science themes: probing dark energy and dark matter, taking
an inventory of the Solar System, exploring the transient optical sky, and
mapping the Milky Way. LSST will be a wide-field ground-based system sited at
Cerro Pach\'{o}n in northern Chile. The telescope will have an 8.4 m (6.5 m
effective) primary mirror, a 9.6 deg field of view, and a 3.2 Gigapixel
camera. The standard observing sequence will consist of pairs of 15-second
exposures in a given field, with two such visits in each pointing in a given
night. With these repeats, the LSST system is capable of imaging about 10,000
square degrees of sky in a single filter in three nights. The typical 5
point-source depth in a single visit in will be (AB). The
project is in the construction phase and will begin regular survey operations
by 2022. The survey area will be contained within 30,000 deg with
, and will be imaged multiple times in six bands, ,
covering the wavelength range 320--1050 nm. About 90\% of the observing time
will be devoted to a deep-wide-fast survey mode which will uniformly observe a
18,000 deg region about 800 times (summed over all six bands) during the
anticipated 10 years of operations, and yield a coadded map to . The
remaining 10\% of the observing time will be allocated to projects such as a
Very Deep and Fast time domain survey. The goal is to make LSST data products,
including a relational database of about 32 trillion observations of 40 billion

Clinical oxidative stress during leprosy multidrug therapy:impact of dapsone oxidation
This study aims to assess the oxidative stress in leprosy patients under multidrug therapy (MDT; dapsone, clofazimine and rifampicin), evaluating the nitric oxide (NO) concentration, catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities, glutathione (GSH) levels, total antioxidant capacity, lipid peroxidation, and methemoglobin formation. For this, we analyzed 23 leprosy patients and 20 healthy individuals from the Amazon region, Brazil, aged between 20 and 45 years. Blood sampling enabled the evaluation of leprosy patients prior to starting multidrug therapy (called MDT 0) and until the third month of multidrug therapy (MDT 3). With regard to dapsone (DDS) plasma levels, we showed that there was no statistical difference in drug plasma levels between multibacillary (0.518±0.029 μg/mL) and paucibacillary (0.662±0.123 μg/mL) patients. The methemoglobin levels and numbers of Heinz bodies were significantly enhanced after the third MDTsupervised dose, but this treatment did not significantly change the lipid peroxidation and NO levels in these leprosy patients. In addition, CAT activity was significantly reduced in MDT-treated leprosy patients, while GSH content was increased in these patients. However, SOD and Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity levels were similar in patients with and without treatment. These data suggest that MDT can reduce the activity of some antioxidant enzyme and influence ROS accumulation, which may induce hematological changes, such as methemoglobinemia in patients with leprosy. We also explored some redox mechanisms associated with DDS and its main oxidative metabolite DDS-NHOH and we explored the possible binding of DDS to the active site of CYP2C19 with the aid of molecular modeling software

Rapidly Rising Transients in the Supernova - Superluminous Supernova Gap

All rights reserved..We present observations of four rapidly rising (trise ≈ 10 days) transients with peak luminosities between those of supernovae (SNe) and superluminous SNe (Mpeak ap; -20) - one discovered and followed by the Palomar Transient Factory (PTF) and three by the Supernova Legacy Survey. The light curves resemble those of SN 2011kl, recently shown to be associated with an ultra-long-duration gamma-ray burst (GRB), though no GRB was seen to accompany our SNe. The rapid rise to a luminous peak places these events in a unique part of SN phase space, challenging standard SN emission mechanisms. Spectra of the PTF event formally classify it as an SN II due to broad Hα emission, but an unusual absorption feature, which can be interpreted as either high velocity Hα (though deeper than in previously known cases) or Si ii (as seen in SNe Ia), is also observed. We find that existing models of white dwarf detonations, CSM interaction, shock breakout in a wind (or steeper CSM), and magnetar spin down cannot readily explain the observations. We consider the possibility that a "Type 1.5 SN" scenario could be the origin of our events. More detailed models for these kinds of transients and more constraining observations of future such events should help to better determine their nature. © 2016
