The investigation of electroluminescemce of metal-organic Zn complexes
In this study OLED-structures were created on the base of metal-organic complexes with Zn. Also, their current-voltage, current-brightness and spectral characteristics were investigated. The ability of Zn complexes interaction with adjacent layers and the essential difference between the electron and hole conduction were observed
New model to estimate daily global solar radiation over Nigeria
This study focussed on developing an appropriate model for estimating daily global solar radiation for
any location in Nigeria. Data for the study were obtained from the Nigeria Meteorological Agency, covering
12 sites, spread across the six geopolitical zones, for a period between 1987 and 2010. Various statistical
methods were employed to determine the performance and accuracy of the model. A multivariate
model that expresses global solar irradiance in terms of location latitude, daily relative sunshine, maximum
daily temperature, daily average relative humidity, and cosine of day number was developed. The
inclusion of the maximum daily temperature and daily mean relative humidity makes the model much
more sensitive to climatic and weather changes. Also, the seasonal fluctuations of the humid tropical
region are also well captured in the model. The analysis showed a good agreement between the measured
data and computed results. Thus the model can be used to predict the global solar irradiance over Nigeria
with minimum error. Further to this, the global solar radiation intensity values produced by this
approach can be used in the design and estimation of the performance of solar applications
Photo- and electroluminescence of new organic semiconductors
The results of investigation of the luminescence under photo- and electroexcitation for four new compounds are presented. The spectral properties and photoluminescence are studied in ethanol, chloroform solutions and in films formed by thermovacuum deposition (TVD). The phosphorescence of compounds is investigated in ethanol at 77K temperature. The phosphorescence times of molecules are given. The electroluminescence is obtained in multilayered structure ITO/PEDOT/NPD/L /Ca/Al. It is shown, that spectral region of the photoluminescence of TVD films and electroluminescence coincide. Relations of electroluminescence efficiency with molecule structure, photoluminescence quantum yield and possibility of thermally activated delayed fluorescence are discussed
INKJET PRINTING OF POLYMER SEMICONDUCTING MATERIALS
The paper investigated the printing of solutions of polyfluorenes differing in end groups in p-xylene of various concentrations with various additives. For each composition, viscosity, surface tension was measured. Printing was carried out on a Dimatix printer. Substrate - glass with a layer of PEDOT:PSS. The geometric characteristics of the printed structures were measured. A working PLED was obtained with an injection layer obtained by Ink-Jet printing
