Analysis of the booster DC to DC converter with feedback
The field effect power transistors are used in many applications in electromechanical systems. Control of the field effect power transistors requires isolated 5V control signals and isolated 12V DC sources. The first problem is resolved by using optical pairs: light emitting diodes with phototransistors. The second problem can be resolved by using impulse voltage sources. The primary coil of a transformer is connected to the battery by a transistor switch. In the first period of operation of this voltage source, the energy is stored in the magnetic field of transformer’s inductance. In the second period, the energy is delivered to the output voltage source. Energy is delivered from the secondary transformer’s coil to the output capacitor through a diode. As a rule, one separate voltage source has a small power, that is why one impulse voltage source can have the necessary number of isolated output voltage sources, i.e., 3, 6, 9, 12, etc So, we can design an impulse DC to DC voltage source with multiple isolated output voltage sources. By changing the charge time of the inductor, we can control the output voltage by using negative feedback proportional to the output voltage and / or a current. In the report, different variants of impulse voltage sources are considered, with analog base elements and on the base of microprocessors. Analyses operation of these impulse voltage sources enable us to determine the period (frequency) of internal operation with ordered maximum transformer efficiency values. The concept of controlled impulse voltage sources is very important because these sources are very simple. They are reliable and have high level of electrical isolation

Ultradispersion microstructure and phase composition formation during intensive metal forming
It was shown in this paper how rate, speed and temperature of forming influence on core size, as well as influence of the cooling speed on phase composition of construction steels. Different ways of intensive deformation achievement during metal forming and in particular a flat shaped condition: equal channel angular extrusion, drawing, cross-rolling, are considered in this paper. It should be also noted that for the receipt of the required structure and mechanical properties of steel apart from the use of rational speed-temperature process parameters of forming a metal damage limit should be taken into account
The utopia of personality: Moisei Ginzburg’s project for the Moscow Park of Culture and Leisure
The article was submitted on 01.07.2015.This article focuses on Moisei Ginzburg’s competition entry for the Central Park of Culture and Leisure in Moscow (1931), assessing its nature as a utopian landscape. It demonstrates how the program of the project emerged from the debates on modernist town planning as an attempt to adapt ideas developed in the course of these debates to existing urban context. Emerging prior to the rest of the modernist urban environment, the park assumed the role of representing the settlement of the future within the city of the past, while simultaneously forming a part and parcel of the urban system to come. It was both inscribed into the modernist system of the zonal division of the city as the recreation zone and itself divided into separate zones, becoming a miniature model of an ideal modernist city of the future. The project was based on the principles of “disurbanism,” an approach to town planning, which Ginzburg earlier developed in his project of the Green City near Moscow (1930). Following the theoretician of disurbanism Mikhail Okhitovich, Ginzburg declared the individual (rather than the family or the group) the basic unit of society, and consequently, personal development became the major mission that his park was to perform. As a result, the Park of Culture and Leisure became not a site, but a mechanism of personal and urban transformation.
Automatic Geotagging of Russian Web Sites
The poster describes a fast, simple, yet accurate method to associate large amounts of web resources stored in a search engine database with geographic locations. The method uses location-by-IP data, domain names, and content-related features: ZIP and area codes. The novelty of the approach lies in building location-by-IP database by using continuous IP blocks method. Another contribution is domain name analysis. The method uses search engine infrastructure and makes it possible to effectively associate large amounts of search engine data with geography on a regular basis. Experiments ran on Yandex search engine index; evaluation has proved the efficacy of the approach.ACM Special Interest Group on Hypertext, Hypermedia, and We
Bifurcations, discontinuities, and the ‘Russian trace’ in the construction of the Ukrainian nation
The article was submitted on 11.04.2016. Rev. of: Плохiй С. Н. Козацький мiф : Iсторiя та нацiєтворення в епоху iмперiй. – Київ : Laurus, 2013. – 440 с. (Plokhii, S. (2013) Kozac’kij mif : Istorija ta nacietvorennja v epohu imperij [The Cossack Myth. History and Nationhood in the Age of Empires]. – Kiev : Laurus, 2013. – 440 p.). The review analyses one of the most recent works by Serhii Plokhii, a renowned Ukrainian historian. In The Cossack Myth, Plokhii provides a complex analysis of the political and intellectual mechanisms involved in the construction of the Ukrainian nation, which served as a major impetus for the destruction of the Russian Empire in 1917 and the Soviet Union in 1991. Plokhii speculates that the source of the ideas that stimulated these processes was an anonymous essay from the beginning of the 19th century entitled The History of the Rus. According to the author, this work appeared exclusively as a result of how the repressive policies of the Russian government impeded the rights of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the local gentry. The ideas underlying this literary composition seemingly fuelled sentiments of opposition among Ukrainian intellectuals in the pre-revolutionary and Soviet periods, and became the basis for the modern ideology of the Ukrainian nation. However, in his search for opposition among Ukrainian elites, the author seems to overlook many bifurcations, discontinuities, and the ‘Russian trace’ that all took part in the process of Ukrainian nation-building.The work was completed with the financial assistance of the President of the Russian Federation Grant for Young Russian Researchers. The Russian consumer sector: estimation technology
The article describes the methodology for estimating the Russia’s consumer sector and the effect of its application. The monitoring procedure of the Russian consumer sector groups indicators into two units: the unit of the estimation of consumer goods and the services market estimation unit. The estimation unit of consumer goods is composed of two modules: food products and non-food products. This module offers two components that provide an estimation of the consumer sector: marketing (estimates the accessibility of retail trade and services for end users) and production (estimates the domestic manufacture). The results of the estimation show general improvements in the consumer sector in the period of 2000–2014, but overall development is evaluated as low. The analysis revealed that the financing is growing faster than the quality indices of development. As an example, the financing of agriculture has increased by 1.5 times over 15 years (against comparable prices from 2000), while agricultural production has not changed. Another most pressing challenge is the weak differentiation of the Russian economy, as evidenced by the low rates of non-food production (availability of non-foods of own production remains at a low level and averages 20 %). The results of the estimation suggest the need to reform the regulation of the sector primarily concerning priorities for its development and improvement of financial and economic mechanisms to achieve them. The research has been supported by the Russian Science Foundation Gran, the project № 15–18–10014 " Projection of optimal socio-economic systems in the turbulence of external and internal environment"
Отголоски язычества в декоре уральской избы
Samples of a wooden carving of the XIX–XX centuries on Central Ural Mountains comprise basic symbolics of mythology of ancient Slavs. In the traditional dwelling elements of a mythological picture of the world are obviously traced. The myth represents model of a macrocosmos and the microcosm entered in it — the person. The traditional dwelling both in practical, and in symbolical aspect personifies the same relations. The mythological symbolics used as a decor had to fix, on the one hand, symbolical value of the house as center, Space as vital space of a sort, family, separately taken person. On the other hand, a number of symbols had to indicate specific preferences of some certain values of life of the owner of the house which, in turn, were caused by practical activity.
