La traducción de textos científicos. El perfil del traductor especializado

La finalidad del presente trabajo de fin de grado consiste en tratar el tema de la traducción de textos científicos. Para ello, lo hemos dividido en dos partes: la primera es una aproximación teórica sobre qué es la traducción, la relación de la misma y de las lenguas de especialidad con los textos científicos, los tipos de textos científicos, sus rasgos característicos, los criterios de clasificación, y la figura del traductor, entre otros. También se ha procedido a definir y caracterizar los textos científicos y técnicos para establecer la diferencia entre ambos. La segunda parte del trabajo y, aplicando los conocimientos descritos en la parte teórica, hemos elegido un texto científico para su análisis identificando los aspectos anteriormente descritos. Por último se ha realizado su traducción FR>ES y se han identificado los principales problemas en dicho proceso para determinar el perfil ideal del traductorGrado en Traducción e Interpretació

The Research Journey as a Challenge Towards New Trends

The academic community of the department of Risaralda, in its permanent interest in evidencing the results of the research processes that are carried out from the Higher Education Institutions and as a product of the VI meeting of researchers of the department of Risaralda held in November 2021 presents its work: “The journey of research as a challenge towards new trends”, which reflects the result of the latest research and advances in different lines of knowledge in Agricultural Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology and Information Sciences, which seek to solve and meet the demands of the different sectors. Reducing the environmental impact of surgery on a global scale: systematic review and co-prioritization with healthcare workers in 132 countries

Abstract Background Healthcare cannot achieve net-zero carbon without addressing operating theatres. The aim of this study was to prioritize feasible interventions to reduce the environmental impact of operating theatres. Methods This study adopted a four-phase Delphi consensus co-prioritization methodology. In phase 1, a systematic review of published interventions and global consultation of perioperative healthcare professionals were used to longlist interventions. In phase 2, iterative thematic analysis consolidated comparable interventions into a shortlist. In phase 3, the shortlist was co-prioritized based on patient and clinician views on acceptability, feasibility, and safety. In phase 4, ranked lists of interventions were presented by their relevance to high-income countries and low–middle-income countries. Results In phase 1, 43 interventions were identified, which had low uptake in practice according to 3042 professionals globally. In phase 2, a shortlist of 15 intervention domains was generated. In phase 3, interventions were deemed acceptable for more than 90 per cent of patients except for reducing general anaesthesia (84 per cent) and re-sterilization of ‘single-use’ consumables (86 per cent). In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for high-income countries were: introducing recycling; reducing use of anaesthetic gases; and appropriate clinical waste processing. In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for low–middle-income countries were: introducing reusable surgical devices; reducing use of consumables; and reducing the use of general anaesthesia. Conclusion This is a step toward environmentally sustainable operating environments with actionable interventions applicable to both high– and low–middle–income countries

Vanadium carbide films grown by reactive magnetron sputtering on m2 steel substrates

Se crecieron películas delgadas de carburo de vanadio sobre sustratos de aceros M2 usando magnetron sputtering reactivo R.F. y un blanco de vanadio de 2 pulgadas de diámetro (99.99 %). El flujo de metano CH 4 se vario desde 0.5 a 3.0 sccm en la mezcla de Ar/CH4. El análisis por difracción de rayos X (XRD), muestra que las películas son predominantemente cristalinas y exhiben dos fases del sistema binario VC. Los difractogramas de XRD muestran una orientación cristalográfica predominante en los picos (200) y (111) debido a la estructura tipo NaCl de la fase VC subestequiometrica. La intensidad de este pico aumenta con la concentración de metano. Picos asociados a la fase β-V2C se pueden observar en los difractogramas que se revelan a altas concentraciones de metano. La morfología de las superficies de las capas fue analizada por AFM. Las propiedades tribológicas tales como coeficiente de fricción y adhesión fueron estudiadas usando las técnicas de pin on disk y scratch. El coeficiente de fricción disminuye desde 0.8 a 0.3 y la carga crítica varía desde de 30N a 50N al aumentar la concentración de metano. La dureza de las películas medidas por medio de nanoindentación fue entre 8 y 20 GpaVanadium carbide thin films were grown over M2 steel substrates using RF Magnetron reactive sputtering and a 2-inch diameter target (99.99 %). CH4 methane flow varied from 0.5 to 3.0 sccm. in the mixture of Ar/CH4. X Ray diffraction analysis show that the films are predominantly crystalline and exhibit two phases of the VC binary system. The XRD diffractograms show a predominant crystallographic orientation (111) due to the NaCl-type structure substoichiometric VC phase. The intensity of this peak increases with the concentration of methane. Peaks associated to the β-V2C phase can be observed in the diffractograms which revealed high concentrations of methane. The morphology of the surface layers was analyzed by AFM. Tribological properties such as the friction and adhesion coefficient were studied using the pin-on diskand-scratch test techniques. The friction coefficient decreases in a scale from 0.8 to 0.3 and the critical load varied between 30 N to 50 N when the methane concentration was increased. The thin films’ hardness was measured by nano-indentation technique and the values were between 8 and 20 Gp
