Superluminal solutions to the Klein-Gordon equation and a causality problem
We present a new axially symmetric monochromatic free-space solution to the
Klein-Gordon equation propagating with a superluminal group velocity and show
that it gives rise to an imaginary part of the causal propagator outside the
light cone. We address the question about causality of the spacelike paths and
argue that the signal with a well-defined wavefront formed by the superluminal
modes would propagate in vacuum with the light speed.Comment: to be published in Physics Letters A, an additional reference to the

Search for the Flavor-Changing Neutral Current Decay with the HERA-B Detector
We report on a search for the flavor-changing neutral current decay using events recorded with a dimuon trigger in
interactions of 920 GeV protons with nuclei by the HERA-B experiment. We find
no evidence for such decays and set a 90% confidence level upper limit on the

Measurement of the J/Psi Production Cross Section in 920 GeV/c Fixed-Target Proton-Nucleus Interactions
The mid-rapidity (dsigma_(pN)/dy at y=0) and total sigma_(pN) production
cross sections of J/Psi mesons are measured in proton-nucleus interactions.
Data collected by the HERA-B experiment in interactions of 920 GeV/c protons
with carbon, titanium and tungsten targets are used for this analysis. The
J/Psi mesons are reconstructed by their decay into lepton pairs. The total
production cross section obtained is sigma_(pN)(J/Psi) = 663 +- 74 +- 46
nb/nucleon. In addition, our result is compared with previous measurements
Risk profiles and one-year outcomes of patients with newly diagnosed atrial fibrillation in India: Insights from the GARFIELD-AF Registry.
BACKGROUND: The Global Anticoagulant Registry in the FIELD-Atrial Fibrillation (GARFIELD-AF) is an ongoing prospective noninterventional registry, which is providing important information on the baseline characteristics, treatment patterns, and 1-year outcomes in patients with newly diagnosed non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). This report describes data from Indian patients recruited in this registry. METHODS AND RESULTS: A total of 52,014 patients with newly diagnosed AF were enrolled globally; of these, 1388 patients were recruited from 26 sites within India (2012-2016). In India, the mean age was 65.8 years at diagnosis of NVAF. Hypertension was the most prevalent risk factor for AF, present in 68.5% of patients from India and in 76.3% of patients globally (P < 0.001). Diabetes and coronary artery disease (CAD) were prevalent in 36.2% and 28.1% of patients as compared with global prevalence of 22.2% and 21.6%, respectively (P < 0.001 for both). Antiplatelet therapy was the most common antithrombotic treatment in India. With increasing stroke risk, however, patients were more likely to receive oral anticoagulant therapy [mainly vitamin K antagonist (VKA)], but average international normalized ratio (INR) was lower among Indian patients [median INR value 1.6 (interquartile range {IQR}: 1.3-2.3) versus 2.3 (IQR 1.8-2.8) (P < 0.001)]. Compared with other countries, patients from India had markedly higher rates of all-cause mortality [7.68 per 100 person-years (95% confidence interval 6.32-9.35) vs 4.34 (4.16-4.53), P < 0.0001], while rates of stroke/systemic embolism and major bleeding were lower after 1 year of follow-up. CONCLUSION: Compared to previously published registries from India, the GARFIELD-AF registry describes clinical profiles and outcomes in Indian patients with AF of a different etiology. The registry data show that compared to the rest of the world, Indian AF patients are younger in age and have more diabetes and CAD. Patients with a higher stroke risk are more likely to receive anticoagulation therapy with VKA but are underdosed compared with the global average in the GARFIELD-AF. Utilization and recycling of municipal solid waste in a subarctic zone
Municipal solid waste (MSW) collection and disposal is one of the major problems of urban environment in most countries worldwide today. The problem of utilization of solid waste in the Northern Europe on the Kola Peninsula was raised in this article, where the ground arrangement in a subarctic zone is very special and the weather conditions are severe. The paper main goal is to verify long-term impact of the Mezhdurechie municipal landfill on the atmosphere in Kola Peninsula. The paper also aims to establish the holding actions for recycling and utilization of worn-out tires for mentioned municipal landfill. The ground concentrations of pollutants from the operational sources were presented. The proposed recycling development in this paper has a positive impact on the ecoindustry and ensures environmental safety and municipal economy. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2019
Regional investment policy: Analysis and assessment of the investment environment state
The urgency of the problem studied in the paper is conditioned by the fact that stable functioning and development of economic entities, sectors of the economy, regions and the country cannot be carried out without investments. In the modern economy of the Russian Federation, whose conditions of existence can be called non-stationary, one of the problems is attracting investment resources into economic activity and overcoming the conditions for slowing and stopping the growth of the country's economy caused by external unfavorable economic circumstances. In connection with the foregoing, the policy of attracting and managing investments in the regions of the Russian Federation, with a view to ensuring conditions for overcoming the crisis phenomena and resuming the economic growth of the country and its subjects is of particular interest. The intensification of the state investment policy is a core prerequisite for the transition of the economy to sustainable growth. However, in economic market conditions the state is not able to solve this problem to the full. Therefore, the process of activating investment policy at the regional level is becoming topical. The purpose of the paper is to study the management and implementation of investment policy in the region on the example of the Republic of Tatarstan, the analysis and assessment of the investment environment's state. The leading method to research this problem is the statistical one, which is a method of quantitative analysis of a set of homogeneous facts that determine in the aggregate the transition of quantitative changes to qualitative ones. The paper presents the results of assessing the socio-economic development of the region, analyzes the indicators that allow characterizing the investment environment's state. The paper also presents the strategic priorities of the region's investment activities, analyzes the opportunities for their implementation in conditions of non-stationary state, and makes sound conclusions about the need to activate regional investment policies. The materials of the paper are of practical value for specialists dealing with the implementation of the investment policy of the region. © Authors. CLINICAL CASE OF A PATIENT WITH NEUROENDOCRINE CELL HYPERPLASIA OF INFANCY, WHO IS ON LONG-TERM OXYGEN THERAPY AT HOME
Neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia of infancy (NEHI) is an interstitial lung disease of unknown etiology that develops in infancy and manifests as persistent tachypnea syndrome. A highly informative scale for the clinical diagnosis of NEHI and CT of the lungs is used to diagnos the disease. The presence of a typical CT picture allows the diagnosis of NEHI to be made. We present a clinical case of a patient diagnosed on the basis of the scale of clinical diagnostics and a typicalCT picture of NEHI, complicated by protein-energy insufficiency, chronic respiratory failure of II degree, who is on long-term home oxygen therapy. © 2022, Pediatria Ltd.
