    Get PDF
I+D 2004-2007, ref: SEJ2004 07648).________________________________One of the aims of Educational Guidance is social and personal development in students. An increase in socio-emotional competences is promoted through Guidance program interventions. The objective of the Guidance Program for Socio-emotional Competencies (in Spanish. POCOSE) is to train these competences within the framework of internship university programs and internships in companies-specially in vocational training courses-, favouring labour insertion of students and recent graduates. The POCOSE is composed by severs modular courses where competencies like self-knowledge, empathy, regulation, conflict solving, team work, assertivity and motivation. These seven modules are developed in 5 sessions of two hours each one, and includes a teacher book and a student book. Also, a questionnaire (Socio-emnotional Competency Inventory: in Spanish, (COSE) which is applied as a pre post test measure. The POCOSE is part of the research project "Socio- emotional competence guidance and development through internships in companies "(Orientación V desarrollo de competencias socioemocionales a través de las prácticas en empresas "), which belongs to the Ministry of Education's plan (I+D 2004-2007, ref. Young’s modulus and hardness of multiphase CaZrO3 -MgO ceramics by micro and nanoindentation

The aim of this work is to determine the values of the hardness and elastic modulus of the phases present in CaZrO3-MgO-ZrO2 composites and to analyse their contribution to the composite properties. Two materials previously developed with the same major phases (CaZrO3, MgO and c-ZrO2) present in different volume fractions and grain size have been analysed. The hardness and Young´s modulus of each phase determined by nanoindentation are independent from the specific composite and coincident with nanoindentation values for single phase bulk materials. The contribution of the individual phases to Young´s modulus of the multiphase materials is in agreement with calculations using the nanoindentation values and the Voight upper limit of the “rule of mixtures”. Scale dependence due to microcracking has been observed for microhardness values of the composites and differences between calculations and experimental values are related to this effect. This work was performed in the frame of the CYTEDnetwork HOREF(312RT0453)and was supported by the Spanish Government underprojectMAT2013-48426-C2-1-R.AbílioP.Silvaacknowledges thefinancialsupportofJECSTrustthroughmobilityContract201597 and Instituto de Cerámica y Vidrio–CSIC.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

On the variability of HD 170699 - a possible COROT target

We present the analysis of the variability of HD 170699, a COROT star showing the characteristics of a non evolutionary Delta Scuti star with high rotational velocity. There is a clear period of 10.45 c/d with 5.29 mmag amplitude in the y filter. From the data, it can be seen that the star shows multi-periodicity and it is necessary to add more frequencies to adjust the observationsComment: To appear in RevMexAA(SC) in Proceedings of XII Reunion Regional Latinoamericana de la UAI held in Isla Margarita, Venezuela, October 22-26, 200

Association between chronic irritability and depressive symptoms in children and adolescents. Busto-Garrido, M.; Gutierrez-Castillo, D; Navas- Gonzalez, JR; Gutierrez-Bedmar, M; Gutierrez-Casares, JR; Martin-Lunar, MT; Rodríguez-Rosado, A; Pena-Andreu, JM. European Psychiatry 415(2017) 5221.Chronic irritability is the most frequently reported symptom in child and adolescent depression. The association of both has been linked with high rates of chronicity, comorbility and impairment. Objectives To study the association between chronic irritability and depressive symptoms in children and adolescents. Methods We have studied 857 participants recruited from the only Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinic in a catchment area of 122968 people under 18 (2004-2010). A sample of 677 participants (57 controls and 620 patients) was included to carry out a cross-sectional study. Chronic irritability was measured by a Visual Analog Scale (VAS irritability) -scored from 0 to 10-, and depressive symptoms by the Children's Depression Inventory (CDI). The participants were categorized into controls and patients, and according to their chronic irritability (≤4 [I],5 [II] and ≥6 [III]). The mean of CDI score was calculated for each of the groups, adjusted by sex and age, and analyzed by ANCOVA. Results The following means were obtained from the controls: 13,71 (group I), 9,82 (group II) and 17,45 (group III). Regarding to the patients: 13,92 (group I), 11,54 (group II) and 15,64 (group III). A quadratic association (p <0,0015) was found between VAS irritability score and CDI score. Conclussions There is not a lineal association between chronic irritability and depressive symptoms in children and adolescent. High rates of depressive symptoms were associated both with high and low rates of irritability. Several questions remain unexplained about the status of irritability in psychiatry as Stringaris group has been pointed out. In this article we will discuss on a peculiar and interesting feature recently discovered in the archaeological record of Copper Age Bell Beakers in the Ambrona Valley (Soria, Spain), that is the existence of barrows which look like tombs but they were not. They even include valuable items (finely decorated pottery, gold jewellery) but no sign of human bones. This absence could not be explained by selective preservation of the materials, since those barrows are not located in acid soils, and faunal remains are usually found in other sites of the same area. We could interpret this special finds as the archaeological testimonies of eventual ceremonial activities, perhaps including commensality rituals (intentionally broken pots are found inside them), being the stone mound the commemoration in the landscape of those important events (a possible cenotaph evoking the death of someone important away from his hometown?) or places (the location of special features of the environment in their mythic geographies

DOI:10.1016/j.eswa.2016.04.030In this paper we propose myPTutor, a general and effective approach which uses AI planning techniques to create fully tailored learning routes, as sequences of Learning Objects (LOs) that fit the pedagogical and students’ requirements. myPTutor has a potential applicability to support e-learning personalization by producing, and automatically solving, a planning model from (and to) e-learning standards in a vast number of real scenarios, from small to medium/large e-learning communities. Our experiments demonstrate that we can solve scenarios with large courses and a high number of students. Therefore, it is perfectly valid for schools, high schools and universities, especially if they already use Moodle, on top of which we have implemented myPTutor. It is also of practical significance for repairing unexpected discrepancies (while the students are executing their learning routes) by using a Case-Based Planning adaptation process that reduces the differences between the original and the new route, thus enhancing the learning process. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd.
