La bioética en la empresa: el caso particular de la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa

Dada la importancia de la bioética para tratar de evitar los abusos cometidos en el pasado o los nuevos abusos que pueden darse por los avances de la ciencia, este trabajo de investigación busca fomentar la difusión y divulgación de esta disciplina, particularmente en las empresas que tienen una relación más directa con la investigación o promoción de la vida del ser humano. Para ello, se propone otra realidad paralela que está cobrando en la actualidad una gran importancia y una adopción creciente por parte de las empresas: la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC)

Analysis and simulation of shading effects on photovoltaic cells

The usage of conventional energy applications generates disproportionate emissions of greenhouse gases and the consumption of part of the energy resources available in the world. It has become an important problem which has serious effects on the climatic change. Therefore, it is crucial to reduce these emissions as much as possible. To be able to achieve this, renewable energy technologies must be used instead of conventional energy applications. Solar Photovoltaic (PV) technologies do not release greenhouse gas emissions directly and can save more than 30 million tonnes of carbon per exajoule of electricity generated relative to a natural gas turbine running at 45% efficiency. Shadowing is one of the most important aspects that affects the performance of PV systems. Consequently, many investigations through this topic are being done in order to develop new technologies which mitigate the impact of shadowing during PV production. In order to minimise the impact of shadowing it is desired to be able to predict the performance of a system with PV-modules during shadowing. In this thesis a simulation program for calculating the IV-curve for series connected PV-modules during partial shadowing has been developed and experimentally validated. PV systems modelling and simulation in LTspice environment has been presented and validated by means of a comparative analysis with the experimental results obtained in a set of tests performed in the laboratory of Gävle University. Experimental measurements were carried out in two groups. The first group corresponds with the experiments done in the string of six modules with bypass diodes while the measurements of the second group have been performed on a single PV module at HIG University. The simulation results of both groups demonstrated a remarkable agreement with the experimental data, which means that the model designed at LTspice supposes a very useful tool that can be used to study the performance of PV systems. This tool contributes to the investigations in this topic and it aims to benefit future installations providing a better knowledge of the shading problem. The master’s thesis shows an in-depth description of the required method to design a PV cell, a PV module and a PV array using LTspice IV and the input parameters as well as the needed tests to adjust the models. Moreover, it has been carried out a pedagogical study describing the effect that different shadow configurations have in the performance of solar cells. This study facilitates the understanding of the performance of PV modules under different shadowing effects. Lastly, it has also been discussed the benefits of installing some newer technologies, like DC-DC optimizers or module inverters, to mitigate the shadowing effects. The main conclusion about this topic has been that although most of the times the output power will be increased with the use of optimizers sometimes the optimizer does not present any benefits

El archivo en la autonovela familiar. El caso de Mi abuelo y el dictador de César Tejeda

The aim of this article is to examine the function of the archive in family autonovels and, in particular, in Mi abuelo y el dictador (2017) by the Mexican author César Tejeda. First of all, the characteristics of this phenomenon will be defined and, subsequently, will be applied to Tejeda's autonovel through a textual and paratextual analysis. Afterwards, the specific function of the archive in autonovels will be explained at length and, finally, the archives (letters, personal interviews, historical documents and places of memory) that are integrated into the book will be detailed. The result of this paper is to emphasize that the archive, which is the gap in itself (Didi-Huberman), turns the autobiographical family story into a truthful and, moreover, political manifestation.El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar la función del archivo en las autonovelas familiares y, en particular, en Mi abuelo y el dictador (2017) del mexicano César Tejeda. [ES] En el presente Trabajo de Final de Grado se abordarán temas relacionados con la micromovilidad y sus posibles conflictos tanto de tráfico como los relacionados con el entorno por el que circulan. Hoy en día, cobra especial importancia los vehículos de movilidad personal que suponen un gran número de usuarios que circulan por los carriles bici de la ciudad de Valencia, en concreto por el Anillo Ciclista, que rodea puntos de interés cultural. Por eso, se parte de tres puntos del Anillo Ciclista para calcular la velocidad de los usuarios del carril bici, la intensidad en cada uno de los puntos y qué conflictos existen tanto con el tráfico motorizado como con el entorno del carril bici. Estos cálculos se llevarán a cabo a partir de los resultados de la toma de datos realizada. Por último, se plantearán propuestas de mejoras para solventar los problemas detectados.[EN] This Final Degree Project will deal with issues related to micro-mobility and its possible conflicts, both in terms of traffic and those related to the environment in which they circulate. Nowadays, personal mobility vehicles are of particular importance, as they represent a large number of users that circulate along the cycle lanes of the city of Valencia, specifically along the Cycle Ring, which surrounds points of cultural interest. For this reason, three points of the Cycle Ring are used to calculate the speed of the users of the cycle lane, the intensity at each of the points and what conflicts exist both with motorised traffic and with the surroundings of the cycle lane. Plan de cuidados para un paciente con trasplante cardiorrenal, en una unidad de cirugía cardíaca

[Resumen] El Síndrome Cardiorrenal es la disfunción simultánea del corazón y riñón. El trasplante cardiorrenal sincrónico en pacientes con enfermedad cardíaca avanzada y patología renal, es una opción terapéutica. El principal objetivo de este trabajo fue realizar un plan de cuidados a una paciente trasplantada de corazón y riñón durante su ingreso en la Unidad de Cirugía Cardíaca y valorar los resultados obtenidos. La evolución favorable de la paciente muestra que el plan de cuidados de enfermería fue efectivo.[Abstract] The “Cardiorrenal” Syndrome is the simultaneous dysfunction of the heart and kidney. The simultaneous transplantation of heart and kidney in patients with advanced heart disease and renal pathology, it is a therapeutic option. The main objective of this work was to know the nursing care required in a patient with transplantation of heart and kidney. Its development has been carried out in the Cardiac Surgery Service of the University Hospital of A Coruña. Dificultades del alumnado inmigrante en el proceso de integración al sistema educativo español.

Este proyecto trata de recoger toda la información, a través de trabajo de investigación, sobre las principales dificultades u obstáculos que sufre el alumnado inmigrante al integrarse en el Sistema Educativo Español en Canarias, más concretamente, en la isla de Tenerife. En la sociedad en la que vivimos actualmente hay un proceso imparable de inmigración, lo que conlleva varias situaciones dentro del sistema educativo como, por ejemplo, un choque cultural entre el alumnado inmigrante y el nativo dentro de las escuelas, un nuevo proceso de adaptación a las costumbres de dicho lugar, nuevos modelos de aprendizaje, o incluso, un nuevo idioma que afrontar. Esta nueva circunstancia produce una serie de incertidumbres o dificultades que podrían adaptarse con la existencia de planes o proyectos dentro de las escuelas que ayuden a este nuevo alumnado a conocer y a comprender las principales características de la nueva cultura. Para esto, primero debemos conocer si es cierto que el alumnado inmigrante sufre estas dificultades, con la finalidad de, posteriormente, indagar en qué ámbito de la educación lo hace de forma más frecuente, es decir, en el ámbito social o en el ámbito curricular a la hora de entender la organización de la escuela o las materias. Además, gracias a este proyecto y a la información recogida, se pueden llevar a cabo programas escolares acordes y realmente necesarios a las principales necesidades sentidas por el propio alumnado inmigrante, ya que las aulas deben ser un espacio de enseñanza en la que todos/as reciban una educación inclusiva y de calidad.This project aims to collect all the information, through research work, on the main difficulties or obstacles that immigrant students face when integrating into the Spanish Educational System in the Canary Islands, more specifically, on the island of Tenerife. 1 In the society in which we currently live there is an unstoppable process of immigration, which brings with it several situations within the educational system such as, for example, a cultural clash between immigrant and native students within schools, a new process of adaptation to the customs of that place, new learning models, or even a new language to face, among other things. This new circumstance produces a series of uncertainties or difficulties that could be faced in a lighter way with the existence of plans or projects within the schools that help these new students to know and understand the main characteristics of the new culture. For this, we must first find out whether it is true that immigrant students suffer from these difficulties, in order to subsequently investigate in which area of education they do so more frequently, that is, in the social area within the center or in the curricular area when it comes to understanding the organization of the school or the subjects. In addition, thanks to this project and the information gathered, school programs can be carried out according to the main needs felt by the immigrant students themselves, since the classrooms should be a teaching space in which everyone receives an inclusive and quality education

Sustainable and efficient electrosynthesis of naproxen using carbon dioxide and ionic liquids

The use of CO2 as a C1 carbon source for synthesis is raising increasing attention both as a strategy to bring value to carbon dioxide capture technologies and a sustainable approach towards chemicals and energy. The presented results focus on the application of electrochemical methods to incorporate CO2 into organic compounds using ionic liquids as electrolytes, which provides a green alternative to the formation of C-C bonds. In this sense, the current manuscript shows that Naproxen (6-Methoxy-α-methyl-2-naphthaleneacetic acid) can be synthetizing in high yield (89%) and conversion rates (90%) through an electrocarboxylation process using CO2 and ionic liquids. The role of the cathode and solvent, which can potentially enhance the synthesis, is also discussed. The "green" route described in the current work would open a new sustainable strategy for the electrochemical production of pharmaceutical compounds
