Utilização de termografia infravermelha para avaliação de fissuras em fachadas com revestimento de argamassa e pintura

As fachadas dos edifícios estão expostas aos fenômenos climatológicos da região em que se localizam. A falta de adequada compreensão da interação entre os ciclos de temperatura e de umidade e os revestimentos de fachada favorece sua degradação. Nesse contexto, o monitoramento e o estudo do efeito desses aspectos físicos são importantes para a garantia da durabilidade das fachadas. Em outros países a termografia infravermelha vem sendo utilizada como técnica não destrutiva para a avaliação de problemas nas edificações. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo aplicar a termografia na avaliação de manifestações patológicas relacionadas à temperatura em revestimentos de fachadas. Para tanto, realizaram-se imagens utilizando um termovisor em diferentes horários do dia nas estações seca e chuvosa em uma edificação da cidade de Goiânia, GO. Aferiu-se também a temperatura superficial, em pontos das quatro orientações das fachadas. Por fim, mapearam-se as manifestações patológicas existentes com o auxílio de programa computacional. Como resultado, verificou-se que parte das fissuras levantadas foi visualizada nas imagens térmicas. Verificou-se, também, que o período seco e o horário da tarde provocaram maiores diferenças nas temperaturas superficiais, resultando em isotérmicas mais claras, o que possibilitou a obtenção de imagens que revelaram alguns dos problemas mapeados

Cuidado espiritual prestado pela equipe de enfermagem à pessoa em paliação na terapia intensiva

Objetivo: Apreender como ocorre o cuidado espiritual prestado pela equipe de enfermagem à pessoa em paliação na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva.Método: Estudo de abordagem qualitativa, realizado em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva em Salvador, Bahia. A coleta de dados ocorreu por entrevistas semiestruturadas entre janeiro e maio de 2019. Participaram do estudo 14 enfermeiras e 21 técnicas de enfermagem. Os dados foram submetidos à Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin e analisados à luz da Teoria Final de Vida Pacífico.Resultados: Emergiram duas categorias: 1. Cuidado espiritual prestado através de palavras de otimismo, estímulo a fé e oração; 2. Cuidado prestado através da atenção às necessidades espirituais e da garantia de conforto.Considerações finais: Embora de forma empírica e não consciente do cuidado espiritual prestado, a equipe de enfermagem oferta apoio com palavras de otimismo, fé, momentos de orações e contribui para o conforto espiritual da pessoa em paliação. Anti-oxidative and anti-ulcerogenic activity of Ipomoea imperati

Ipomoea imperati (Vahl) Griseb., Convolvulaceae, is used in traditional medicine for the treatment of inflammation, swelling and wounds, as well as to treat pains and stomach problems. This work evaluates the anti-oxidative activity by ESR (Electron Spin Resonance spectroscopy) and the preventive and curative actions of I. imperati in gastric ulcer animal model. Ipomoea imperati (200 mg/kg, p.o.) prevented the formation of gastric lesions in 78% (p<0.05) when compared with the negative control tween 80. Lanzoprazole, prevented in 85% the gastric lesions formation induced by ethanol (p<0.05). Therefore, the oral administration of I. imperati one hour before the ulcerogenic agent prevented the ulcer formation, conserving the citoprotection characteristics of the gastric mucosa and assuring the integrity of gastric glands and gastric fossets. The healing activity of I. imperati (200 mg/kg, p.o.) evaluated in chronic ulcer experiments induced by the acetic acid, was 72% (p<0.05). The positive control, ranitidine, healed 78% of the gastric lesions (p<0.05). The histological analysis confirmed the recovery of the mucosal layer and the muscle mucosal layer harmed by the acetic acid. Experiments in vitro with DPPH (2.2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) of anti-oxidative activity demonstrated that I. imperati presents an IC50 of 0.73±0.01 mg/mL21697898

A UTILIZAÇÃO DE FERRAMENTA PRÁTICA PARA O ENSINO DA LÓGICA DE PROGRAMAÇÃO PARA TURMA DE CIÊNCIA DA COMPUTAÇÃO 2014 NA DISCIPLINA DE ICC

As ferramentas práticas de ensino vêm sendo bastante utilizadas no meio educacional como elo entre a teoria da sala de aula e a prática no campo do trabalho. Tais ferramentas proporcionam aos alunos a possiblidade de compreensão das disciplinas e a experiência aplicável dos principais conceitos estudados na sala de aula. Este trabalho tem por objetivo relatar a experiência do uso da ferramenta prática utilizada no ensino da lógica de programação na disciplina de Introdução à Ciência da Computação (ICC) ministrada aos estudantes recém-ingressantes no Instituto de Engenharia e Geociências (Ieg) da Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (Ufopa) e as atividades deste projeto foram desenvolvidas na sede do Programa de Extensão denominado de Laboratório Mídias Eletrônicas (Ufopa), com intuito de despertar o interesse dos alunos para a disciplina. O trabalho desenvolvido envolveu atividades com a ferramenta Blender, por conta dos resultados positivos alcançados em trabalhos anteriores e sua contribuição na formação do conhecimento dos discentes.Palavras-chave: ferramenta prática; lógica de programação; projet

Gravitational wave background from Population III black hole formation

We study the generation of a stochastic gravitational wave (GW) background produced from a population of core-collapse supernovae, which form black holes in scenarios of structure formation. We obtain, for example, that the formation of a population (Population III) of black holes, in cold dark matter scenarios, could generate a stochastic GW background with a maximum amplitude of $h_{\rm BG} \simeq 10^{-24}$ and corresponding closure energy density of $\Omega_{\rm{GW}}\sim 10^{-7}$, in the frequency band $\nu_{\rm{obs}} \simeq 30-470 {\rm Hz}$ (assuming a maximum efficiency of generation of GWs, namely, $\epsilon_{\rm GW_{\rm max}} = 7\times 10^{-4}$) for stars forming at redshifts $z\simeq 30-10.$ We show that it will be possible in the future to detect this isotropic GW background by correlating signals of a pair of `advanced' LIGO observatories (LIGO III) at a signal-to-noise ratio of $\simeq 40$. We discuss what astrophysical information could be obtained from a positive (or even a negative) detection of such a GW background generated in scenarios such as those studied here. Proposal for an experimental methodology for evaluation of natural lighting systems applied in buildings

This work has the objective of developing a methodology for the evaluation of indoor natural lighting systems, which, with speed and practicality, provides from real conditions of use a reliable result about the quality and performance of the proposed system. The methodology is based on the construction of two real-size test environments, which will be subjected to a natural light system through reflexive tubes made from recycled material, and to a commercial system already certified and consolidated, creating the possibility of comparison. Furthermore, the data acquired in the test environments will be examined in light of the values of solar radiation obtained from a digital meteorological station, such that it is possible to stipulate the lighting capacity of the systems at different times of the year
