Polygonum orientale L. especie de origen asiático es utilizada ampliamente en jardinería como ornamental por la vistosa coloración rosa o púrpura de sus abundantes fl ores. Son plantas de fácil cultivo y pueden producirse por semillas o por división de vegetativa. Por el momento parece que su estatus como especie exótica para la fl ora valenciana debe ser considerado como el de una especie casual según el esquema terminológico propuesto por Richardson et al. (2000) y readaptado por Pyšek et al. (2004)

Tipificación de tres nombres en el género Galium (Rubiaceae)

The typification of three names in the genus Galium described from the eastern Iberian Peninsula: G. valentinum, G. valentinum var. idubedae, and G. capillare, is discussed. The designation of the nomenclatural types is based on the consultation of original material and the literature cited in the respective protologues. The names are lectotypified using specimens from C (John Lange herbarium), JE, and a Cavanilles’ original illustration published in 1793.Se discute la tipificación de tres nombres en el género Galium descritos para el este de la Península Ibérica: G. valentinum, G. valentinum var. idubedae y G. capillare. La designación de los tipos de nomenclaturales se basa en la consulta del material original y la literatura citada en los respectivos protólogos. Sobre la identidad de dos híbridos del género brachypodium (brachypodieae, poaceae): tipificación de los nombres B. ×cugnacii y B. ×paui

The typification of the names Brachypodium ×cugnacii and B. ×paui (Brachypodieae, Poaceae) is discussed. All relevant sources, as well as specimens, illustrations, and references cited in the protologues are carefully examined for the purpose to fix the application of the names. The two names above mentioned are lectotypified using specimens preserved at P and BC herbaria, respectively. Finally, a comment on the nomenclatural type of Brachypodium retusum is reported.Se discute la tipificación de los nombres Brachypodium ×cugnacii y B. ×paui (Brachypodieae, Poaceae). Todas las fuentes de información, como son los especímenes de herbario, ilustraciones y referencias relevantes citadas en los protólogos, se han evaluado cuidadosamente con el fin de fijar la aplicación precisa de los nombres. Los nombres mencionados se han lectotipificado utilizando especímenes conservados en los herbarios P y BC, respectivamente. Finalmente, se aporta un comentario sobre el tipo nomenclatural de Brachypodium retusum

Sobre la presencia de Alternathera pungens Kunth (Amaranthaceae) en la flora valenciana

Se cita la presencia de Alternanthera pungens Kunth (Amaranthaceae) en la Comunidad Valenciana, a partir de la localización de ejemplares en los jardines del antiguo cauce del ríoTuria, en la ciudad de Valencia (España).Se resaltan las principales diferencias con su congénere A. caracasana Kunth, ampliamente naturalizada en el territorio valenciano, al tiempo que se comentan algunas posibles vías de entrada de esta planta.Alternanthera pungens Kunth (Amaranthaceae) in the Valencian flora. The presence of Alternanthera pungens Kunth (Amaranthaceae) from specimens located in the Turia River Gardens in Valencian City (Spain) is reported. The main differences of this species and A. caracasana Kunth, plant widely naturalized in the Valencian region, are commented. Some possible routes of entry of this plant into the Valencian area are discussed

Nuevos híbridos en el género Cistus L. (Cistaceae)

RESUMEN: Se describen dos nuevos híbridos dentro del género Cistus L. producto del cruzamiento entre C. albidus × C. heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis (C. × clausonii nothosubsp. crespoi nothosubsp. nova) y C. creticus × C. heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis (C. × escartianus nothosubsp. navarroi nothosubsp. nova). Ambos híbridos han aparecido de modo espontáneo donde convergen sus parentales en las instalaciones exteriores y viveros del CIEF (Centro para la Investigación y Experimentación Forestal de la Generalitat Valenciana); igualmente, el primero aparece también en el medio natural, en el seno de una neopoblación artificial establecida para la recuperación de C. heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis.ABSTRACT: New hybrids in the genus Cistus L. (Cistaceae). Two new hybrid taxa are described for the genus Cistus L., coming from the crossings C. albidus × C. heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis (C. × clausonii nothosubsp. crespoi nothosubsp. nova) and C. creticus × C. heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis (C. × escartianus nothosubsp. navarroi nothosubsp. nova). Both taxa have appeared spontaneously where their parents meet, both outdoor and inside the nurseries of the CIEF (Generalitat Valenciana’s Centre for Forestry Research and Experimentation). In addition, the first one also has been found in wild, inside an artificial neo-population established to recover the endangered species C. heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis
