    Self-efficacy adalah keyakinan seseorang tentang kapabilitasnya untuk mempengaruhi hasil yang diharapkan. Self-efficacy merambah ke berbagai bidang kajian, maka self-efficacy memegang peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi tingkah laku dan motivasi seseorang. Self-efficacy seseorang akan mempengaruhi tindakan, upaya, ketekunan, fleksibilitas dalam perbedaan, dan realisasi dari tujuan, dari individu ini, sehingga self efficacy yang terkait dengan kemampuan seseorangseringkali menentukan outcome sebelum tindakan terjadi. Self-efficacy, gender, dan kecemasan matematika yang memiliki korelasi dengan signifikansi tinggi terhadap prestasi matematika. Variabel usia dan kemampuan mental umum tidak signifikan. Self efficacy matematika merupakan prediktor terbaik terhadap perolehan matematika diikuti oleh gender dan kecemasan. Pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada problem posing memiliki pengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan sikap sikap terhadap matematika dan keyakinan diri (self-efficacy) matematika.     PERANAN REPRESENTASI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DI SEKOLAH

    Representasi matematis menjadi perhatian khusus sebagai standar proses setelah ditambahkan oleh NCTM dalam Principles and Standards for School Mathematics tahun 2000. Goldin (2002) menuliskan dua jenis sistem representasi, yaitu sistem representasi internal dan eksternal. Representasi meliputi komponen konkret, verbal, numerik, grafik, kontekstual, gambar, atau simbol yang melukiskan konsep matematika. Representasi visual meliputi organisasi diagram atau tabel, model konkret, grafik, gambaran dinamis atau bergerak, dan gambaran kata. Representasi memegang peranan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika (Kalathil dan Sherin 2000, dalam Kartini, 2009); Kilpatrick, Swafford, & Findell, (2001, dalam Salkind, 2007); Lowrie (2001); Pape dan Tchosanov (2001); Garderen (2003); Gagatsis dan Elia (2004), Verhoef dan Broekman (2005); Tall (2008); Patsiomitou (2008); Hwang (2007; 2009); Babazit dan Aksoy (2011); Guler dan Ciltas (2011). Guru dapat menguji representasi internal tentang konsep dan miskonsepsi siswa dari ide matematika yang sudah diajarkan, melalui representasi ekternal siswa. Semua jenis representasi harus digunakan secara paralel untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran matematika. Tema yang selalu hangat adalah bahwa pembelajaran matematika harus membetuk koneksi antara berbagai jenis representasi: konkret, gambar dan simbolik; verbal dan visual; dan internal dan eksternal.     SELF-EFFICACY: ANALYSIS OF LEARNING OUTCOMES OF TEACHER EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS (PPG)

    Self-Efficacy (SE) is an essential component in mathematics learning that must be improved so that the teaching performance can convince students. The purpose of this study is how brightspace SPADA (Online Learning System) is developed to measure PPG participants' self-efficacy, which can contribute to the creation of an increase in the quality of education. This study's subjects were PPG participants in the Department of Mathematics Studies in one private LPTK in Bandung, which before the workshop began with online learning. The research method used is the Mixed Method of Embedded Design type and Embedded Experimental Model type. The instrument used was an online test on e-learning and a closed statement SE scale of 10. The analysis used include, (1) Descriptive analysis of online learning outcomes and self-efficacy, (2) Comparative analysis of online learning outcomes between classes (Class A and B) using the Mann Whiney-U test because the data are not normally distributed, (3) Comparative analysis of online learning outcomes between levels, namely junior high, high school, and vocational school (SMP, SMA, and SMK) using ANOVA, (4) Comparative analysis of self-efficacy between classes (Classes A and B) using t-test, because the data is normally distributed, (5) Comparative analysis self-efficacy between levels (SMP, SMA, and SMK) using ANOVA, (6) Analysis of the effect of online learning outcomes on self-efficacy using simple linear regression. The study results are: (1) Descriptive online learning results can be concluded that PPG Mathematics online learning outcomes are above average (≄ 75), based on levels. The result of descriptive statistical data analysis of online learning outcomes is that the average value of participants from SMP, SMA, and SMK is 76.93, 93.12, and 85.92. PPG Mathematics participants' self-efficacy is in the very good category (8.6 from 0-10 intervals), based on the level. Descriptive statistical data analysis obtained the average value of participants from SMP, SMA, and SMK is 8.68, 8.65, and 8.76. (2) There is no significant difference in online learning outcomes between classes A and B. (3) There is no significant difference in online learning outcomes between SMP, SMA, and SMK. (4) There is no significant difference in self-efficacy between classes A and B. (5) There is no significant difference in self-efficacy between SMP, SMA, and SMK. (6) There is no online learning outcomes influence on Self-Efficacy

    ELEMENTARY PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS’ SELF-EFFICACY IN MATHEMATICS

    Self-efficacy (SE) is related to someone’s belief influencing their success, including success in teaching mathematics for elementary pre-service teachers. This research aimed to analyse: 1) the self-efficacy difference between high-levelled students and moderate-levelled students; 2) the correlation of self-efficacy indicators; 3) correlation of self-efficacy statements, and 4) pattern interpretation of significant correlation tendency between each self-efficacy statement on elementary pre-service teachers. The subjects of this research were the senior students of Primary Education Department in one of private universities in Bandung. The self-efficacy data were obtained from 149 students. The correlation and mean difference test analysis were done with the support of SPSS. The result showed that the self-efficacy of high-levelled students was better than the self-efficacy of medium-levelled students, there was positive significant correlation either for each self-efficacy indicator or self-efficacy statement. From the correlation, there was a meaningful pattern for self-efficacy of elementary pre-service teachers

    Dalam pembelajaran matematika, kemampuan representasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi atau kemampuan dasar matematika yang harus dikuasai siswa selain pemahaman, penalaran dan proses matematika selain pemecahan masalah, komunikasi dan koneksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan representasi matematik siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran pendekatan Problem-Centered Learning (PCL) lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, serta untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui pendekatan ProblemCentered Learning (PCL) dalam pelajaran matematika, dan soal-soal representasi matematik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba diperoleh hasil validitas yang diinterpretasikan sebagai soal yang validitasnya sedang; koefisien reabilitas instrumen diinterpretasikan sebagai soal yang reliabilitasnya tinggi; daya pembeda termasuk kriteria cukup baik; dan tingkat kesukaran berkisar antara soal sedang, dan soal sukar. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji rerata. Berdasarkan analisis data, bahwa kemampuan representasi matematik siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran melalui pendekatan Problem-Centered Learning (PCL) lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Dari angket yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen, diperoleh informasi bahwa baik siswa memberikan sikap yang positif terhadap model pembelajaran melalui pendekatan Problem-Centered Learning (PCL).     Misconstructing Characters: a Critical Look at the Translation of the Swearing Words

    Translating swearing words has become an interesting study to conduct, especially because it involves two different languages that carry different social values. One language might be rich of such words that are considered as taboos, in this case swearing words, others might restrict the use of swearing words. This might create a problem when the swearing words are used as parts of the characterization of a character in a story. As one of the traits, swearing words should be translated as close as possible in order not to distort the character's quality. This is the task of the translator not to misconstruct the characters in the text s/he translates.     Penerapan Model Problem-Based Learning berbantuan GeoGebra untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Matematis Siswa SMA

    Mathematical literacy ability is an important ability possessed by students. However in reality mathematical literacy ability is still low. One of the learning models that can help to improve mathematical literacy ability is the PBL model with GeoGebra. This study aims to find out the increase in mathematical literacy ability of students who obtain PBL model with GeoGebra is higher than those who obtain ordinary learning model. The method in this study is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group desain. The population of this study was XI students SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung for academic year 2022/2023. The research instrument used was a description test of the ability to mathematical literacy. Processing and analyzingd data on the difference between the two averages using thr Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the increase in mathematical literacy ability of students who obtain PBL model with GeoGebra is higher than those who obtain ordinary learning model.Kemampuan literasi matematis merupakan kemampuan yang penting dimiliki oleh siswa. Namun pada kenyataanya kemampuan literasi matematis masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis yaitu model PBL berbantuan GeoGebra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model PBL berbantuan GeoGebra lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran biasa. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa soal uraian tes kemampuan literasi matematis. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data berupa uji perbedaan dua rerata menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model PBL berbantuan GeoGebra lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran biasa

    The Impact of Internal Marketing and Customer Orientation to Service Quality and Their Implication on Customer Satisf action of Hospital Service Management

    The number of individuals affected by type 2 diabetes is rapidly increasing. The goal of this thesis is to investigate if type 2 diabetes can be predicted more accurately from genome-wide association data using machine learning methods opposed to traditional statistical methods. A variable selection process using random forest has been performed and the variables in the genome, called Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs), showing the highest importance for the prediction of type 2 diabetes have been identified. It has then been considered if including these SNPs in the models over only using clinical variables or previously univariately identified SNPs will improve the performance. Furthermore, the possible improvement by using random forest over logistic regression has been considered. The analysis has resulted in identifying genes through the SNPs that are related to biological functions related to type 2 diabetes. This includes genes which have not been directly associated with the disease. These are interesting for future study. However, the results show little to no improvement in prediction performance over models using only clinical variables suggesting that the signal for type 2 diabetes in the genome-wide association dataset is weak. Similarly, there is no improvement from using random forest over logistic regression for the final models suggesting that the linear signal in the genome data is much stronger than any non-linear signal.Antalet individer som lider av typ 2 diabetes ökar hastigt. MÄlet med denna uppsats Àr att undersöka huruvida förekomsten av typ 2 diabetes kan förutspÄs mer noggrant ur genome-wide association data med hjÀlp av maskininlÀrning jÀmfört med traditionella statistiska metoder. En variabel urvalsprocess med random forest har utförts, dÀr variablerna i genomet, enbaspolymorfierna (SNPs), med störst betydelse för förutsÀgelsen av typ 2 diabetes identifierades. Det har undersökts om inkludering av dessa SNPs i modellerna jÀmfört med att enbart anvÀnda kliniska variabler eller tidigare identifierade SNPs förbÀttrar förutsÀgelsen. Vidare har den potentiella förbÀttringen av förutsÀgelsen genom anvÀndning av random forest jÀmfört med logistisk regression undersökts. Analysen av SNPs har resulterat i identifiering av gener som Àr relaterade till biologiska funktioner kopplade till typ 2 diabetes. Detta inkluderar gener som inte direkt har förknippats med sjukdomen tidigare, varför de Àr intressanta för fortsatta studier. Resultaten visar dock liten till ingen förbÀttring i förmÄga att förutspÄtyp 2 diabetes med hjÀlp av den anvÀnda metoden, jÀmfört med att enbart anvÀnda kliniska variabler vilket kan innebÀra att signalen för typ 2 diabetes i genome-wide association dataset Àr svag.
