[Introduction (extrait)] La violence entre membres d'une même famille ou entre proches, à savoir la violence domestique, a longtemps été considérée comme une affaire privée et un tabou. Un important changement de mentalité s'est toutefois opéré ces 20 dernières années. La lutte contre la violence envers les femmes d'une manière générale et contre la violence domestique en particulier préoccupe de plus en plus les organes internationaux, nationaux et locaux et est reconnue comme une tâche d'intérêt public. [...] Dans le canton de Vaud, en 1999, le Bureau de l'égalité entre les femmes et les hommes (BEFH) a mandaté l'Unité de Prévention de l'Institut de médecine sociale et préventive du CHUV, afin de mener une étude sur la violence conjugale, auprès des institutions concernées2. Cette recherche visait à établir un état des lieux et à identifier les besoins prioritaires. En 2001, des recommandations ont émergé de cette étude sous la forme de 40 mesures. Six d'entre elles ont été retenues comme prioritaires par la Conseillère d'Etat Madame Jacqueline Maurer Mayor. Presque 10 ans après, en automne 2008, la Commission cantonale de lutte contre la violence domestique (CCLVD), instituée par le Conseil d'Etat afin de coordonner les efforts en vue de la prévention et de la lutte contre la violence domestique, a décidé de faire un bilan sur la réalisation de ces mesures, d'identifier les besoins actuels des professionnel-le-s de terrain et les problématiques émergeantes. Les résultats de cette étude, menée par L'Unité d  médecine des violences (UMV) ont servi de fondement à la CCLVD dans l'établissement d'un plan stratégique 2011-2015, en matière de lutte contre la violence conjugale dans le canton de Vaud. Le présent document présente à la fois un éclairage contextuel sur la situation dans le canton de Vaud aujourd'hui et une synthèse de la recherche précitée
The Versatile Transceiver Proof of Concept
SLHC experiment upgrades will make substantial use of optical links to enable high-speed data readout and control. The Versatile Link project will develop and assess optical link architectures and components suitable for deployment at SLHC. The on-detector element will be bidirectional optoelectronic module: the Versatile Transceiver that will be based on a commercially available module type minimally customized to meet the constraints of the SLHC on-detector environment in terms of mass, volume, power consumption, operational temperature and radiation environment. We report on the first proof of concept phase of the development, showing the steps towards customization and first results of the radiation resistance of candidate optoelectronic components
A Fully Bidirectional Optical Network With Latency Monitoring Capability for the Distribution of Timing-Trigger and Control Signals in High-Energy Physics Experiments
The present paper discusses recent advances on a Passive Optical Network inspired Timing-Trigger and Control scheme for the future upgrade of the TTC system installed in the LHC experiments' and more specifically the currently known as TTCex to TTCrx link. The timing PON is implemented with commercially available FPGAs and 1-Gigabit Ethernet PON transceivers and provides a fixed latency gigabit downlink that can carry level-1 trigger accept decisions and commands as well as an upstream link for feedback from the front-end electronics
Passive Optical Networks for the Distribution of Timed Signals in Particle Physics Experiments
A passive optical network for timing distribution applications based on FPGAs has been successfully demonstrated. Deterministic latency was achieved in the critical downstream direction where triggers are distributed while a burst mode receiver was successfully implemented in the upstream direction. Finally, a simple and efficient protocol was introduced for the communication between the OLT and the ONUs in the network that maximizes bandwidth utilization
Shell Model Study of the Neutron-Rich Nuclei around N=28
We describe the properties of the neutron rich nuclei around N=28 in the
shell mode framework. The valence space comprises the  shell for protons an
the  shell for neutrons without any restriction. Good agreement is found
with the available experimental data. The N=28 shell closure, even if eroded
due to the large neutron excess, persists. The calculations predict that
S and S are deformed with  and

FPGA-based Bit-Error-Rate Tester for SEU-hardened Optical Links
The next generation of optical links for future High-Energy Physics experiments will require components qualified for use in radiation-hard environments. To cope with radiation induced single-event upsets, the physical layer protocol will include Forward Error Correction (FEC). Bit-Error-Rate (BER) testing is a widely used method to characterize digital transmission systems. In order to measure the BER with and without the proposed FEC, simultaneously on several devices, a multi-channel BER tester has been developed. This paper describes the architecture of the tester, its implementation in a Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA device and discusses the experimental results
Particle-unstable nuclei in the Hartree-Fock theory
Ground state energies and decay widths of particle unstable nuclei are
calculated within the Hartree-Fock approximation by performing a complex
scaling of the many-body Hamiltonian. Through this transformation, the wave
functions of the resonant states become square integrable. The method is
implemented with Skyrme effective interactions. Several Skyrme parametrizations
are tested on four unstable nuclei: 10He, 12O, 26O and 28O.Comment: 5 pages, LaTeX, submitted to Phys. Rev. Let
CWDM-based radiation-tolerant high-speed optical links
The consolidation of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Beam Instrumentation requires the digitisation of the analogue signals from the detectors within the radiation areas. Subsequently, the digital data are transmitted via the existing fibre plant to the back-end area for processing. In order to manage the increased volume of data with the existing infrastructure, the proposed Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) link project merges four optical carrier signals of different wavelengths into a single optical fibre through two high-speed radiation-tolerant optical twin transmitters. This paper outlines the project's current status and radiation tolerance of the constituent components
Re-examining the transition into the N=20 island of inversion: structure of 30Mg
Intermediate energy single-neutron removal from Mg has been employed
to investigate the transition into the N=20 island of inversion. Levels up to
5~MeV excitation energy in Mg were populated and spin-parity assignments
were inferred from the corresponding longitudinal momentum distributions and
-ray decay scheme. Comparison with eikonal-model calculations also
permitted spectroscopic factors to be deduced. Surprisingly, the 0
level in Mg was found to have a strength much weaker than expected in
the conventional picture of a predominantly  intruder configuration
having a large overlap with the deformed Mg ground state. In addition,
negative parity levels were identified for the first time in Mg, one of
which is located at low excitation energy. The results are discussed in the
light of shell-model calculations employing two newly developed approaches with
markedly different descriptions of the structure of Mg. It is concluded
that the cross-shell effects in the region of the island of inversion at Z=12
are considerably more complex than previously thought and that
