Movimientos sociales, praxis socio-pedagógica y construcción de alternativas en América Latina

El presente artículo responde a un avance del proyecto de investigación y desarrollo, financiado por la CSIC (2009-2010), que lleva por nombre el mismo de este artículo.Este artículo se inserta en un proyecto orientado a relevar y profundizar en el análisis de la capacidad pedagógica-política de algunos movimientos sociales de los países del Mercosur (incluyendo a Bolivia, país con carácter de miembro asociado), profundizando en algunos casos específicos y analizando su capacidad de construcción de proyectos alternativos y de diálogo con el pensamiento crítico en América Latina. El artículo pretende exponer algunos elementos centrales de este proceso de investigación, el cual aún se encuentra en curso. Para ello se recuperan las principales consideraciones teórico conceptuales que constituyeron el punto de partida de la investigación; luego se presentan los aspectos más relevantes de tres de los casos estudiados -Argentina, Bolivia y Paraguay-, y finalmente se esbozan unas reflexiones generales que transversalizan a los tres casos, las que sin ser acabadas, aspiran a orientar el proceso de análisis que venimos desarrollando

LAMS as an assessment tool for teaching and learning English as a foreign language

In this paper we describe how LAMS (Learning Activity Management System) might help English language teachers to design and implement e-Learning-oriented e-Assessment and to enhance the techniques they employ to provide complete assessment units embracing all linguistic skills. In doing so, we present an example of an assessment unit in which such an implementation can be seen through the combination of different resources LAMS provides, thus improving the design of didactic syllabuses

Long-term follow up of Hodgkin lymphoma

Background: Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is the paradigm of curable disease. This study analyzed the overall survival (OS) of patients with HL and compared their survival between decades and with the expected survival of a general population. Results: The median follow-up was 22 years. The median OS was 33 years. The incidence mortality rate for all causes is 2 per every 100 patients per year. The OS of our cohort at 10 years from diagnosis was 76% (95% CI: 72-79) and 52% at 30 years (95% CI: 48-57). Overall SMR (1980-2013) was 2,943 (95% CI: 2,518-3,439). Excluding the primary tumor as the cause of death, the SMR obtained is 2,266 (95% CI: 1,895-2,710). The SMR for those patients diagnosed before the year 2000 was 2,097 (95% CI: 1,732-2,539); and for those diagnosed after 2000 was 5,218 (95% CI: 8,655). The group of patients diagnosed after 2000 had statistically significant more advanced stages, were older and less responsive to treatment. Conclusions: Despite the advances achieved, the risk of death remains higher than in the general population, mainly for those patients diagnosed after year 2000, even after almost 40 years of follow-up. This data might suggest a shift to more aggressive forms of disease in recent years. Patients and methods: A total of 595 patients diagnosed with HL were included between January 1966 and February 2014. The standardized mortality ratio (SMR) was analyzed using the annual rate of mortality in the general Spanish population, adjusted for age, sex and time period

Sujetos colectivos, integralidad y trabajo social

La presente ponencia busca reflexionar sobre las posibilidades, apuestas y tensiones de la integralidad de las funciones universitarias a partir de la experiencia desarrollada desde 2011 nuestro equipo en la Licenciatura en Trabajo Social-, el cual se orienta a desarrollar espacios de trabajo con sujetos colectivos, redes y organizaciones sociales de base territorial y/o vinculadas al mundo del trabajo. Perfil del visitante de Santa Rosa de Oreamuno de Cartago durante la pandemia del Covid-19

Proyecto de Graduación (Bachillerato en Gestión del Turismo Sostenible) Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Escuela de Ciencias Sociales, 2021La presente investigación consiste en establecer el perfil del visitante que llega al distrito de Santa Rosa de Oreamuno en los meses de agosto a diciembre del 2021 desde la demanda turística durante la pandemia del Covid-19, a partir de las categorías Planificación Turística, Demanda Turística y Gestión del Turismo, del cual se describen varias subcategorías como las características generales del visitante, la duración de la estadía y sus motivaciones para conocer el distrito. El perfil del visitante permite a los emprendedores de la comunidad saber qué tipo de visitante llega al distrito y cuáles son sus necesidades e incentivos para poder desarrollar sus emprendimientos acorde al perfil del visitante que se obtuvo de la investigación, a su vez con este perfil del visitante recopilado en los meses de agosto a diciembre del 2021 se puede tener un prospecto del impacto del turismo en los emprendimientos durante ese tiempo.The following investigation project consists in establishing the visitor profile that arrives to the district of Santa Rosa of Oreamuno in the months of August to December of the year 2021 from the tourist demand during the Covid-19 pandemic, from the categories of Tourism Planning, Tourist Demand and Tourism Management of which are described several categories like the general characteristics of the visitor, the length of the stay and the motivations to visit the district. The visitor profile allows the entrepreneurs of the community to know what type of visitors arrive there and what are their necessities and incentives in order to develop their enterprises more in line to the visitor profile obtained in the investigation. In turn with this visitor profile collected in the months of August to December of the year 2021 they can have the impact of the tourism in the enterprises around this time

Composition of pigments and colour changes in green table olives related to processing type

36 páginas, 2 tablas, 4 figurasBrownish colourations in Natural green table olives (non-treated with alkali) make this product less attractive to consumers than Spanish-style green table olives (treated with alkali), which develop a more appreciated bright golden-yellow colour. These colour differences were studied in relation to changes in the composition of chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments, as well as polyphenolic compounds and polyphenol oxidase enzyme (PPO) activity. Natural green olives showed a different chlorophyll profile than Spanish-style. However, all the chlorophyll pigments formed in both processing types were Mg-free derivatives (mostly pheophytins) with similar colourations, ranging from grey to green brownish. In the carotenoid fraction no appreciable differences were found between both processing types.
