Initial selection of lignite deposits from LGOM region for development by innovative underground gasification methods

Artykuł poświęcony jest tematyce zagospodarowania węgla brunatnego rejonu legnickiego z wykorzystaniem metod innowacyjnych. Scharakteryzowano budowę geologiczną rejonu pod kątem występowania węgla, wstępnych warunków eksploatacji oraz zaprezentowano przekroje geologiczne. Zaprezentowano metody innowacyjne, tj. podziemne zgazowanie węgla brunatnego oraz biozgazowanie. Podano wstępne kryteria klasyfikacyjne zastosowania metod zgazowania oraz wymagania złożowe. Rozważania zilustrowano przykładem, w którym zaprezentowano wariantowe metody zagospodarowania oraz wymagania związane z koniecznymi do wykonania rodzajami badan specjalistycznych dla ich zastosowania.The article raises the issue of underground lignite gasification from Legnica region with the use of innovative methods. The geological structure in terms of lignite presence and initial mining conditions were characterized. The geological cross-sections are shown as well. Some innovative methods were characterized, i.e. underground lignite gasification and biogasification. Preliminary classification criteria for applying of the gasification methods and requirements for the lignite deposits were presented. Discussion was illustrated by the example, in which variant methods for deposit development were shown. Requirements for different tests that are necessary to apply those innovative methods were also described
