    Job satisfaction and physician turnover in the Family Health Program

    Um dos problemas mais graves identificados na implantação do Programa de Saúde da Família no Brasil é a rotatividade do médico generalista. Já que o modelo se fundamenta no vínculo entre profissionais da equipe e população, a alta rotatividade dos médicos pode comprometer a efetividade do modelo. Pesquisa realizada no município de São Paulo para verificar a existência de correlação entre satisfação no trabalho dos médicos do programa e a rotatividade desses profissionais confirmou a hipótese da existência de correlação negativa. O prestígio da instituição parceira do município na implantação do programa foi o fator mais importante na determinação da rotatividade dos médicos. Outros fatores de satisfação no trabalho que apresentaram correlação com a rotatividade foram: capacitação, distância das unidades de saúde e disponibilidade de materiais e equipamentos para realização das atividades profissionais.One of the greatest problems of the Family Health Program in Brazil is the high turnover of its physicians. Given that the program is based on the relationship between health professionals and citizens, these high rates affect the model's effectiveness. A survey to identify the correlation between job satisfaction and physician turnover in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, confirmed the hypothesis that there is a negative correlation between these indicators. The prestige of the partner institutions is the most important factor in determining the program's physician turnover in São Paulo. Other job satisfaction factors that showed correlation with physician turnover were: training, commuting time, and lack of adequate equipment and materials

    Gestão da informação : uma análise ergológica da atividade do bibliotecário gestor

    Tese (doutorado)—Universidade de Brasília, Faculdade de Ciência da Informação, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação, 2016.A atividade de Gestão da Informação (GI) está relacionada à geração, coleta, organização, disseminação e uso da informação e inclui também as atividades de monitoramento ambiental (interno e externo) e a gestão dos recursos presentes em uma Unidade de Informação. Este estudo tem como objetivo geral submeter à análise coletiva a atividade de GI por bibliotecários-gestores na perspectiva ergológica. Como objetivos específicos, foram propostos os seguintes: debater os conteúdos curriculares necessários à formação de bibliotecários-gestores, tomando como parâmetros as experiências vivenciadas por eles e a matriz curricular do Curso de Biblioteconomia da Ufes; caracterizar as competências (conhecimentos, habilidades e atitudes) que compõem a atividade de GI na percepção dos gestores de informação; conhecer as normas, prescrições e procedimentos dirigidos à atividade de GI; analisar a atividade de GI a partir de situações de trabalho específicas, vivenciadas pelos bibliotecários. Adotou-se a abordagem teórico-metodológica da Ergologia, cujo método foi desenvolvido por meio do Groupe de Rencontre du Travail (GRT), de Pierre Trinquet, realizando seis encontros com bibliotecários de instituições públicas e privadas (capixabas), docentes e alunos do curso de Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (Ufes). Verificou-se que o processo de GI foi entendido pelo grupo na esfera do planejamento, dispensandose uma análise sobre as demais tarefas que a compõem: a organização, a direção e o controle. As participantes destacaram como problemas formativos a precariedade dos conteúdos como o marketing, gestão de pessoas, empreendedorismo e a insuficiência da carga horária das disciplinas curriculares que cobrem a área de GI.The activity of Information Management (IM) is related to the generation, collection, organization, dissemination and use of information and also includes environmental monitoring activities (internal and external) and the management of the resources present in an Information Unit. This study has the general objective to submit the activity IM to the collective analysis of librarians-managers in ergological perspective. The specific objectives proposed were: discuss the curricula necessary to train librarians-managers taking as parameters the experiences lived by them and the curriculum Library Science at Ufes; characterize the competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) that compose the IM activity, according to the perception of information managers; learn the rules, regulations and procedures towards IM activity; analyze the IM activity from work specific situations experienced by librarians. We adopted the Ergology theoretical and methodological approach, whose method was developed by the Groupe de Rencontre du Travail (GRT) of Pierre Trinquet, conducting six meetings with librarians from public and private institutions in Espirito Santo, and Libraria Science professors and students of Federal University of Espirito Santo (Ufes). We verified the group understood IM process as the sphere of planning, exempting an analysis of other tasks that compound it, as organization, direction and control. Participants highlighted precariousness of content such as marketing, human resource management, entrepreneurship, and the lack of time in the curriculum courses to cover the IM area as problems in their formation.Les activités de gestion de l'information sont liés à la production, la collecte, l'organisation, la diffusion et l'utilisation de l'information et comprend également des activités de surveillance environnementale (internes et externes) et la gestion des ressources présentes dans une unité d'information. L’objectif général de ce travail de thèse est soumettre à une analyse collective l’activité de Gestion de l’information (GI) par les bibliothécaires-gestionnaires, considérant la démarche ergologique. Les objectifs spécifiques sont les suivants : discuter les contenus curriculaires nécessaires à la formation des bibliothécaires-gestionnaires prenant comme paramètre les expériences vécues par eux et la logique curriculaire de la Licence en Bibliothéconomie de l’Université Fédérale de l’Espírito Santo (Ufes), Brésil ; caractériser les compétences (connaissances, savoir-faire et aptitudes) qui font partie de la GI dans la perception des gestionnaires de l’information ; connaître les règles, règlements et procédures visant à l'activité de GI; analyser l'activité de GI des situations de travail spécifiques rencontrés par les bibliothécaires. Nous avons utilisé l’approche théorique et méthodologique de l’Ergologie, dont la méthode a été développée par le Groupe de Rencontre du Travail (GRT) de Pierre Triquet. Six rencontres thématiques ont été réalisées avec des bibliothécaires, des étudiants et des maîtres de conférences en Bibliothéconomie de différentes institutions. Nous avons constaté que le groupe participant a compris le processus de GI dans le domaine de la planification sans avoir le besoin d’une analyse portant sur les autres tâches qui composent l’organisation, la direction et le contrôle. Les participants ont souligné que les problèmes de formation précarité de contenu tels que le marketing, la gestion des ressources humaines, l'entrepreneuriat et le manque de temps de charge des matières du programme couvrant la zone de GI

    Es propósito de la presente investigación, elaborar un modelo de “Renovación urbana para la vulnerabilidad del Malecón del Río Amojú en el centro de la ciudad de Jaén”, buscando analizar de manera científica, la relación causa – efecto que determinan deterioro del espacio público y la deficiente gestión municipal. La metodología con la que se realizó este análisis es cualitativa – critico – propositiva, aplicada en el área que comprenden las manzanas y el espacio público circundantes al Malecón del Río Amojú en el centro de la ciudad de Jaén. En dicho contexto se utilizaron: la teoría de gestión de residuos, la teoría del espacio público y la teoría del paisaje urbano; las cuales establecieron los indicadores y las técnicas de recolección de datos, tales como: fichas de observación, fichas de análisis, fichas cartográficas y entrevistas. El resultado de este análisis comprueba las causas de la vulnerabilidad urbana, que se deben principalmente a la falta de gestión en la recuperación e implementación de los espacios públicos. Por consiguiente, se afirma el planteamiento de una propuesta de renovación urbana para generar un ecosistema de sostenibilidad entre la ciudad y el río buscando recuperar el espacio público, mitigar la contaminación ambiental y habitar de manera saludable y prospera

    O artigo é apresentado como objeto de análise hermenêutica juntamente com a decisão do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) que equiparou a injúria racial ao racismo para fins de imprescritibilidade. Para esta análise, o trabalho será dividido em três pontos: na primeira parte, serão vistos os aspectos gerais do conceito de hermenêutica. Após será abordado o Acórdão de Habeas Corpus nº 154.248. E por fim, será feita uma revisão crítica da decisão do Supremo Tribunal Federal onde será visto o mérito da questão e a ilegitimidade da decisão, onde analisaremos o problema do ativismo judicial ilegítimo do HC nº 154.248

    Novelty in tourism experiences: the influence of physical staging and human interaction on behavioural intentions

    Tourists’ tendency to choose new and different experiences and destinations is well known in tourism research and practice. By drawing on social exchange theory and service-dominant logic, the present study investigates how physical staging and human interaction influence behavioural intentions in experiences with varying levels of novelty. This relationship is tested using survey data collected from visitors to a theme park with structural equation modelling. The results confirm the relationship between the variables and the moderating effect of novelty; that is, the level of novelty in the experience influences the effect of both physical staging and human interaction on behavioural intentions. This study contributes to the tourism literature by comparing different experiences with varying levels of novelty and linking them to behavioural intentions. In addition, it differentiates between physical staging and human interaction in the experience. The findings have significant implications for the tourism industry, particularly for tourism companies

    Emotional skills and promoting School Success in the 3rd cycle: students perception

    Problem Statement: The perceptions about school, play a central role in behavior, performance and results. There is evidence that an improvement in emotional skills is associated with a higher success. Research Questions: What is the relationship between internalizing and externalizing behaviors, emotional skills and academic success in the 3rd cycle of basic education? Purpose of Study: To promote social and emotional skills of students, in the 3rd cycle of basic education. Research Methods: A pilot study with groups of 7th year at a school central Portugal. Made diagnosis of disruptive behavior (ASEBA) was identified 6 children aged 12 0s and 14 and followed by 3 focus groups with students, parents, and teachers respectively. Findings: 6 students mostly male were identified (70 %), with the predominance of externalizing behaviors and academic failure. Not like school (80%) and have no motivation for learning. The relationship between parents and teachers is conflituoso. 100 % of parents have the utmost concern academic success and teachers perceptional good practices, but without success. Conclusions: This program is seen in a perspective of empowerment of the various educational agents to manage various environments and relationships. The results point to the importance of the focus group in the awareness of relational problems in schools.     Is it possible to “find space for mental health” in young people? effectiveness of a school-based mental health literacy promotion program

    Lack of knowledge regarding, and the stigma associated with, mental disorders have been identified as major obstacles for the promotion of mental health and early intervention. The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a school-based intervention program focused on the promotion of mental health literacy (MHL) in young people (“Finding Space for Mental Health”). A sample of 543 students (22 classes), aged between 12 and 14 years old, participated in the study. Each class of students was randomly assigned to the control group (CG; n = 284; 11 classes) or the experimental group (EG; n = 259; 11 classes). MHL was assessed using the Mental Health Literacy questionnaire (MHLq), which is comprised of three dimensions—Knowledge/Stereotypes, First Aid Skills and Help Seeking, and Self-Help Strategies. The scores on these dimensions can also be combined to give an overall or total score. Participants from the EG attended the MHL promotion program (two sessions, 90 min each) delivered at one-week intervals. Sessions followed an interactive methodology, using group dynamics, music, and videos adapted to the target group. All participants responded to the MHLq at three points in time: pre-intervention assessment (one week prior to the intervention), post-intervention assessment (one week after the intervention) and follow-up assessment (six months after the intervention). The intervention effectiveness and the differential impact of sociodemographic variables on the effectiveness of the program were studied using a Generalized Estimation Equation (GEE). Results revealed that participants from the EG demonstrated, on average, significantly higher improvement in MHL from pre-intervention to follow-up when compared to participants from the CG. Different sociodemographic variables affected the effectiveness of the program on distinct dimensions of the MHLq.     Parenting styles and coping strategies among patients with early detected and treated congenital hypothyroidism

    Congenital hypothyroidism (CH), as any chronic disease, has an impact on the parent-child relationship and on the child’s resources to cope with conflicting situations. Objectives. To describe parenting styles according to the perception of children with CH and their coping strategies. Population and methods. Children aged 9-10 years who had CH detected by newborn screening and had received adequate treatment and a group without CH (control group). The Argentine Coping Questionnaire, the Argentine Scale for the Perception of Parent Relations, and the comprehension subtest of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children III (WISC III) were used. Results were compared using a multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). Results. Sixty children with CH were included; they perceived that their mothers exercised a strict control and that their fathers showed more acceptance. They sought more support and became paralyzed more often in conflicting situations than the 60 children without CH. Conclusion. These findings may be associated with a higher level of dependence.     Inadimplência: Um estudo com usuários de cartão de crédito em Belo Horizonte/MG

    O presente estudo procurou identificar quais as causas de inadimplência de usuários de cartão de crédito, considerando a população de Belo Horizonte para esta análise; o trabalho transcorreu por assuntos como sistema financeiro nacional, os principais mercados financeiros, cartão de crédito, endividamento, comportamento do consumidor e planejamento financeiro. A metodologia utilizada quanto aos fins foi descritiva e quanto aos meios foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo. Foi utilizada uma amostra não probabilística de 100 pessoas, sendo escolhidas por julgamento, estas responderam a um questionário para o levantamento das informações. Com isto consistiu um embasamento para notar alguns comportamentos comuns dos inadimplentes e analisar como tais atitudes afetam para o encaminhamento da inadimplência de fato. Demonstra que a educação financeira constitui uma força crucial para auxiliar na diminuição deste quadro cada vez mais frequente, sua disseminação e usabilidade mais acessível e compreendida, tende a criar uma sociedade onde exista um equilíbrio entre o poder de compra e o quanto podem consumir
