    Pengaruh Adversity Quotient Dan Occupational Stress Terhadap Komitmen Organisasi

    The millennial generation has begun to enter and dominate the workplace in Indonesia. In 2020, the year the demographic bonus started, millennial generations were in the age range of 20 years to 40 years. This age is the productive age which will be the backbone and can provide the best contribution for the company. One of the elements that influence the company's success in achieving company goals is the presence of employees who are committed to the company. Millennial generation employees are known as job hoppers and like to change jobs every 12 to 18 months. Previous studies also found that millennial employees still have a moderate adversity quotient and a higher level of work stress than the previous generation. This study aims to determine the effect of adversity quotient and occupational stress on organizational commitment. The samples of this research were 200 Millennial employees of BUMN (State-owned enterprises). Sampling method non-probability with purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study show that the adversity quotient (X1) has a significant positive effect and occupational stress (X2) has a significant negative effect on organizational commitment (Y).  Keywords: Adversity Quotient, Occupational Stress, Organizational Commitment, Millenials   ABSTRAK Generasi milenial sudah mulai banyak memasuki dan juga mendominasi dunia kerja di Indonesia. Karyawan generasi milenial dikenal sebagai job hoppers dan suka berganti pekerjaan setiap 12 hingga 18 bulan. Berdasarkan penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya ditemukan juga bahwa karyawan milenial masih memiliki tingkat adversity quotient yang tergolong sedang dan tingkat stres kerja yang lebih tinggi dari generasi sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh adversity quotient dan occupational stress terhadap komitmen organisasi. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 200 orang. Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan BUMN Generasi Milenial. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode non-probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda.     The Effect of Leadership, Adversity Quotient on Organizational Commitment of PT. Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama Tbk

    Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the influence of corporate leadership, adversity quotient on organizational commitment. Design/methodology/approach: This research used a quantitative approach with survey method. The sample of this research is the whole 204 staff in PT. Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama Tbk is done randomly. Findings: 1) there is a direct positive influence leadership on organizational commitment; (2) there is a direct positive influence adversity quotient on  organizational commitment; (3) there is a direct positive influence to adversity quotient against leadership; (4) there is a indirect positive influence leadership on organizational commitment through adversity quotient Research limitations/implications: is the whole 204 staff in PT.     Sustainable development in the educational process is mandatory for the creation of conditions for individuals to act in complex situations in a sustainable manner. Adversity quotient gives individuals to deal with the difficulties they face, as well as the responsibility that students must feel for themselves so that it becomes important for the implementation of continuous learning. This study aims to reveal the effect of adversity quotient on the learning responsibilities of PGSD students at Widya Gama Mahakam University, which consists of 106 students. The research results show that there is an adversity quotient effect on student learning responsibility as indicated by the obtained t count, which is 5.260, which when compared to t table, which is 1.983, it is said that t count > t table

    This article presents a novel approach to understanding the relationship between intellectual intelligence, Adversity Quotient, religiosity, and employee performance in Islamic banks. While previous research has focused on examining the individual impact of these variables on employee performance, this study explores the potential mediating effects of religiosity. The study was conducted on a sample of 141 employees at Islamic banks in Palu City, and the data were analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings indicate that religiosity mediated the relationship between Adversity Quotient and employee performance, while the relationship between intellectual intelligence and employee performance was not mediated by religiosity. These unique findings highlight the importance for Islamic banks to provide worship facilities and hold Islamic studies to enhance employee religiosity, ultimately leading to improved performance. Overall, this study adds novelty to the literature by offering a fresh perspective on the dynamics of employee performance in the Islamic banking sector

    Masa pandemi ini sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan siswa dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran sehingga harus melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Siswa dikatakan berhasil mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik dengan melihat hasil belajarnya. Adversity Quotient merupakan salah satu kecerdasan yang dimiliki untuk mengenali kesulitan diri sendiri dan mampu mengubahnya sebagai potensi untuk mengatasi kesulitan. Hal ini penting dilakukan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh kali ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Adversity Quotient dengan hasil belajar matematika. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di Depok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan analisis data deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan media Google Form dengan menyebarkan kuesioner yang berjumlah 16 item pernyataan. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 130 siswa, dengan 61 siswa laki-laki dan 69 siswa perempuan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam uji korelasi penelitian ini memiliki nilai sig. 0,000 <0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara Adversity Quotient dengan hasil belajar siswa.   Relationship between Adversity Quotient and Students' Mathematics Learning Outcomes for Distance Learning in Junior High Schools Abstract: This pandemic period greatly affects the development of students in carrying out learning activities so they have to do distance learning. Students are said to be successful in following the learning well by seeing the learning outcomes. Adversity Quotient is one of the intelligences possessed to recognize one's own difficulties and be able to change them as potential to overcome difficulties. This is important for students in distance learning activities at this time. This study aims to determine the relationship between Adversity Quotient and mathematics learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were 7th grade students in Depok. The research method used was a survey with descriptive data analysis. Collecting data using Google Form media by distributing questionnaires with a total of 16 statement items. Respondents in this study were 130 students, with 61 male students and 69 female students. The results obtained in the correlation test of this study have a sig value. 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between Adversity Quotient and student learning outcomes.     Sebagai negara yang kini sedang berkembang untuk menjadi negara maju, Indonesia terus berpacu dan berbenah diri dalam segala sektor. Salah satu sektor yang terpenting dalam menghadapi era revolusi 4.0 adalah untuk pembangunan Sumber Daya Manusia lewat pendidikan. Melalui pendidikan tujuan kemerdekaan untuk mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dapat tercapai. Oleh karena itu dibuthkan tenaga pendidik yang tangguh untuk menghadapi era tersebut. Dengan perubahan kurikulum serta tantangan yang semakin berat, membuat guru mengalami stress kerja. Dalam mengatasi stres kerja tersebut dibutuhkan Adversity Quotient, sehingga guru dapat tetap melaksanakan tugas dengan baik. Tujuan  dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara Adversity Quotient dan stres kerja. Manfaatnya sebagai masukan dalam bidang psikologi pendidikan tentang mengatasi stres kerja pada guru. Hasil yang diperoleh ada hubungan negative antara Adversity Quotient dan stress kerja pada guru.     Employee Retention Strategies in the Fast Food Industry

    Voluntary employee turnover in the fast-food industry is 50%. Employee turnover costs fast-food restaurants $10 billion annually. The purpose of this multiple case study was to examine the strategies of 5 fast-food restaurant managers in the Midwestern United States who achieved higher employee retention than did peers in their districts. The conceptual framework was the 8 motivational forces of voluntary employee turnover. Data were collected via semistructured, face-to-face interviews, recruiting materials, retention activities, policy manuals, and overall voluntary termination reports. Data were compiled, disassembled into groups, reassembled into patterns and themes, and interpreted for conclusions, revealing 3 themes that influenced the managers\u27 employee retention: organizational support, communication, and employee training. These findings suggest that proactively developing a culture of support, implementing communication and feedback channels for employees, and maintaining a training and development program can improve employee retention. Findings might contribute to social change by helping managers develop strategies for improving employee retention, and in turn, financial performance. Employees of fast-food restaurants could benefit from improved retention and financial performance, as they could contribute to new employment opportunities and increased career longevity. Society could benefit from expanded aggregate employment and tax revenue

    Analysis of Adversity Quotient of Nursing Students in Macao: A Cross-Section and Correlation Study

    Background Many studies have shown that people's success depends not only on intelligence and technical ability, but also on their resilience and ability to overcome adversity, which is called adversity quotient (AQ). Objectives To investigate the AQ of Macao undergraduate nursing students and to analyse its influencing factors in order to understand how best to cultivate their AQ. Methods A Cross-Section and Correlation design was chosen and a convenience sampling method (n=158 valid) was used to select nursing students from a tertiary institute in Macao. In addition to demographic questions the adversity scale, emotional intelligence (EI) scale, simplified coping style questionnaire and the Chinese version of parental styles scale, were used to assess the student’s characteristics. Results The average AQ score of the students was 116.72±11.39. AQ scores were negatively correlated with coping-negative, and maternal style (excessive interference, excessive protection) (r=-0.332, p<0.001; r=-0.167, p=0.036). Coping-negative entered the regression equation (F=19.154, p<0.001). The female nursing students had higher AQ-ownership scores than their male counterparts (t=-4.442, p<0.001). Conclusions The average AQ scores of Macao undergraduate nursing students was moderate. The female nursing students are more likely to attribute the cause of adversity to themselves. Specific psychosocial and cultural issues maybe at play and there is a necessity for Macao nursing students to improve their ability to overcome setbacks. Special attention should be paid to the cultivation of students’ positive coping styles

    Metacognition patterns of the students in solving mathematical problems: Analyzed from adversity quotient and gender

    Background: Metacognition significantly influences students' effectiveness in solving mathematical problems. Variability in metacognitive patterns among students is shaped by factors such as adversity quotient (AQ) and gender.Aim: This research aimed to explore metacognitive patterns in mathematical problem-solving among students majoring in mathematics at Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, with a specific focus on differences due to AQ and gender.Method: Adopting a qualitative approach with a phenomenological framework, this study included six students (three males and three females) from the 2021–2022 academic year. These students represented different AQ categories: climber, camper, and quitter. Data collection involved tests, observations, and interviews.Results: The investigation showed that students with a climber AQ, irrespective of gender, adeptly utilized all metacognitive knowledge facets: declarative, procedural, and conditional. In contrast, male campers engaged primarily in declarative and procedural knowledge, while male quitters demonstrated negligible engagement. Female campers predominantly employed declarative knowledge, occasionally integrating conditional knowledge. Female quitters, however, did not exhibit significant usage of metacognitive knowledge. Regarding metacognitive regulation—planning, monitoring, and evaluation—students identified as climbers displayed proficiency across all these aspects, regardless of their gender.Conclusion: The study underscores the influence of AQ and gender on metacognitive patterns in mathematical problem-solving, noting an exception in climbers who consistently exhibit effective metacognition. These insights could guide educational strategies to bolster metacognitive skills in the context of mathematics education
