The author presents a complex summary of the regulations governing the audio-visual media in our country. In order to do this, he takes into account the two aspects, cultural and economic, intrinsic to the television as a communication medium, and analyses the public’s rights, the plurality of the media, transparency and the regulations governing on-screen advertising

La función cognitiva de las artes en la sociedad contemporánea

    Get PDF

Numerical and experimental investigation of a vertical LiBr falling film absorber considering wave regimes and in presence of mist flow

    Get PDF
The absorber represents the most critical component in absorption systems and one of the key issues. In this component complex heat and mass transfer phenomena during the absorption process takes place simultaneously. For this reason the development of mathematical models validated against experimental data always constitutes useful tools for the design and improvement of falling film absorbers. A testing device has been designed and built to reproduce absorption phenomena in vertical LiBr-H2O falling film absorbers with the primary objective to obtain experimental data. On the other hand, a mathematical model of falling film absorption of H2O vapour in LiBr aqueous solutions has been implemented. Wave regime is considered by including and solving the Free Surface Deflection Equation. The numerical results are validated using the experimental data. During the development of this work, the authors have paid careful attention to the verification of experimental data. Such verification consists of performing energy and mass balances in the fluid film side. Important discrepancies were found in our experimental data. Therefore, an extensive study was carried out in order to find the source of such errors. The conclusion is that there is a drag of LiBr solution in the water vapour which increases with the Re number. This mist flow cannot be measured experimentally, but can be evaluated in an indirect way. The mathematical models have been adapted in order to consider the influence of mist flow. On the other hand, in the literature there are not many experimental works related to falling film absorbers which expose enough information to verify the reliability of their experimental data.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

Geomorphological processes and frozen ground conditions in Elephant Point (Livingston Island, South Shetland Islands, Antarctica)

    Get PDF
Elephant Point is an ice-free area in the SW corner of Livingston Island (Maritime Antarctica). The retreat of Rotch Dome glacier during the Holocene has exposed a land area of 1.16 km2 . Up to 17.3% of this surface has become ice-free between 1956 and 2010. A detailed geomorphological mapping of this ice-free environment was conducted in late January 2014. A wide range of active periglacial landforms show that periglacial processes are widespread. From the glacier to the coast four different geomorphological areas are identified: proglacial environment, moraine complex, bedrock plateaus and marine terraces. In situ measurements of the thawed soil depth show evidence of the widespread frozen ground conditions in the area. Field observations of permafrost exposures suggest that these frost conditions may be related to a soil permafrost regime, almost down to sea level. The activity of penguin colonies and elephant seals has created minor geomorphological features in the raised marine terraces. Here, several archaeological sites related to early human colonization of Antarctica were also found in natural shelters.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Spectral sets of generalized Hausdorff matrices on spaces of holomorphic functions on D

    Get PDF
Here, we study a family of bounded operators H, acting on Banach spaces of holomorphic functions X→O(D), which are subordinated in terms of a C0--semigroup of weighted composition operators (vtCϕt ), i.e.,H= ∞ 0 vtCϕt dν(t) in the strong sense for some Borel measure ν. This family of operators extends the so-called generalized Hausdorff operators. Here, we obtain the spectrum, point spectrum and essential spectrum of H under mild assumptions on (vtCϕt ),ν and X. In particular, we obtain these spectral sets for a wide family of generalized Hausdorff operators acting on Hardy spaces, weighted Bergman spaces, weighted Dirichlet spaces and little Korenblum classes. The description for the spectra of the infinitesimal generator of (vtCϕt) is the key for our findings

Introducing and solving generalized Black–Scholes PDEs through the use of functional calculus

    Get PDF
We introduce some families of generalized Black–Scholes equations which involve the Riemann–Liouville and Weyl space-fractional derivatives. We prove that these generalized Black–Scholes equations are well-posed in (L1−L∞)-interpolation spaces. More precisely, we show that the elliptic-type operators involved in these equations generate holomorphic semigroups. Then, we give explicit integral expressions for the associated solutions. In the way to obtain well-posedness, we prove a new connection between bisectorial-like operators and sectorial operators in an abstract setting. Such a connection extends the scaling property of sectorial operators to a wider family of both operators and the functions involved

A level-set model for thermocapillary motion of deformable fluid particles

    Get PDF
A new level-set model is proposed for simulating immiscible thermocapillary flows with variable fluid-property ratios at dynamically deformable interfaces. The Navier–Stokes equations coupled with the energy conservation equation are solved by means of a finite-volume/level-set approach, adapted to a multiple marker methodology in order to avoid the numerical coalescence of the fluid particles. The temperature field is coupled to the surface tension through an equation of state. Some numerical examples including thermocapillary driven convection in two superimposed fluid layers, and thermocapillary motion of single and multiple fluid particles are computed using the present method. These results are compared against analytical solutions and numerical results from the literature as validations of the proposed model.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

Practical Evaluation of a Network Mobility Solution

    Get PDF
IFIP International Workshop on Networked Applications, Colmenarejo, Madrid/Spain, 6–8 July, 2005As the demand of ubiquitous Internet access and the current trend of all-IP communications keep growing, the necessity of a protocol that provides mobility management increases. The IETF has specified protocols to provide mobility support to individual nodes and networks. The Network Mobility (NEMO) Basic Support protocol is designed for providing mobility at IP level to complete networks, allowing a Mobile Network to change its point of attachment to the Internet, while maintaining ongoing sessions of the nodes of the network. All the mobility management is done by the mobile router whilst the nodes of the network are not even aware of the mobility. The main aim of this article is evaluating the performance of the NEMO Basic Support protocol by using our implementation. We also discuss the design of an implementation of the NEMO Basic Support protocol.Publicad
