Aplicaciones en la región de Murcia de la información de ocupación de suelo en España (SIOSE)

Finalizadas las tareas del proyecto del Sistema de Información de Ocupación del Suelo en España (SIOSE), se plantea el aprovechamiento de la información obtenida de las múltiples bases de datos geográficas. En esta nueva fase, se ha propuesto desarrollar herramientas que faciliten la explotación de dichas bases de datos geográficas, mediante un conjunto de aplicaciones software. Además, y como un primer paso hacia la integración dentro de una infraestructura de datos espaciales (IDE) regional, ofrecer servicios basados en los estándares de publicación de información espacial en internet según el Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), que permitan la visualización y consul- ta de los datos elaborados, con el objetivo de su difusión con el mayor grado posible.With the project completed, the information system of land use in Spain (SIOSE) takes the opportunity to use the information obtained from multiple geographic databases. In this new phase, it is proposed to develop tools that facilitate the work of these geographic databases through a set of software applications. A Data-Driven Clustering Method for Discovering Profiles in the Dynamics of Major Depressive Disorder Using a Smartphone-Based Ecological Momentary Assessment of Mood.

BACKGROUND: Although major depressive disorder (MDD) is characterized by a pervasive negative mood, research indicates that the mood of depressed patients is rarely entirely stagnant. It is often dynamic, distinguished by highs and lows, and it is highly responsive to external and internal regulatory processes. Mood dynamics can be defined as a combination of mood variability (the magnitude of the mood changes) and emotional inertia (the speed of mood shifts). The purpose of this study is to explore various distinctive profiles in real-time monitored mood dynamics among MDD patients in routine mental healthcare. METHODS: Ecological momentary assessment (EMA) data were collected as part of the cross-European E-COMPARED trial, in which approximately half of the patients were randomly assigned to receive the blended Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (bCBT). In this study a subsample of the bCBT group was included (n = 287). As part of bCBT, patients were prompted to rate their current mood (on a 1-10 scale) using a smartphone-based EMA application. During the first week of treatment, the patients were prompted to rate their mood on three separate occasions during the day. Latent profile analyses were subsequently applied to identify distinct profiles based on average mood, mood variability, and emotional inertia across the monitoring period. RESULTS: Overall, four profiles were identified, which we labeled as: (1) "very negative and least variable mood" (n = 14) (2) "negative and moderate variable mood" (n = 204), (3) "positive and moderate variable mood" (n = 41), and (4) "negative and highest variable mood" (n = 28). The degree of emotional inertia was virtually identical across the profiles. CONCLUSIONS: The real-time monitoring conducted in the present study provides some preliminary indications of different patterns of both average mood and mood variability among MDD patients in treatment in mental health settings. Such varying patterns were not found for emotional inertia

Modulation of the endocannabinoids N-Arachidonoylethanolamine (AEA) and 2-Arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) on Executive Functions in Humans

Animal studies point to an implication of the endocannabinoid system on executive functions. In humans, several studies have suggested an association between acute or chronic use of exogenous cannabinoids (Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol) and executive impairments. However, to date, no published reports establish the relationship between endocannabinoids, as biomarkers of the cannabinoid neurotransmission system, and executive functioning in humans. The aim of the present study was to explore the association between circulating levels of plasma endocannabinoids N-arachidonoylethanolamine (AEA) and 2-Arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) and executive functions (decision making, response inhibition and cognitive flexibility) in healthy subjects. One hundred and fifty seven subjects were included and assessed with the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test; Stroop Color and Word Test; and Iowa Gambling Task. All participants were female, aged between 18 and 60 years and spoke Spanish as their first language. Results showed a negative correlation between 2-AG and cognitive flexibility performance (r = −.37; p<.05). A positive correlation was found between AEA concentrations and both cognitive flexibility (r = .59; p<.05) and decision making performance (r = .23; P<.05). There was no significant correlation between either 2-AG (r = −.17) or AEA (r = −.08) concentrations and inhibition response. These results show, in humans, a relevant modulation of the endocannabinoid system on prefrontal-dependent cognitive functioning. The present study might have significant implications for the underlying executive alterations described in some psychiatric disorders currently associated with endocannabinoids deregulation (namely drug abuse/dependence, depression, obesity and eating disorders). Understanding the neurobiology of their dysexecutive profile might certainly contribute to the development of new treatments and pharmacological approaches

Chinches subterráneas (Hemiptera: Cydnidae) asociadas a hospedantes de interés económico en la provincia de Matanzas

Con el propósito de determinar la fauna de chinches subterráneas (Hemiptera: Cydnidae) asociadas a plantas de importancia económica en la provincia de Matanzas; se realizaron muestreos edáficos en tres localidades. Las especies se identificaron mediante el uso de claves dicotómicas y el estudio de la genitalia masculina. Se encontraron seis especies de chinches cydnidas, pertenecientes a los génerosDallasiellus Berg, Amnestus Dallas, Cyrtomenus Amyot y Tominotus Mulsant &amp; Rey. Se notifica una nueva especie de Dallasiellus (nov sp.) para la ciencia, la cual junto a Dallasiellus scitus (Walk.) resultaron las chinches más frecuentes. Cynodon dactylon L.; Ficus elastica Roxb, Scindapsus aureus Engl, Guaiacum sanctum Lim y Manihot esculenta Crantz constituyeron nuevos registros de hospedantes para la fauna de cydnidos descrita
