Language Assessment Literacy: The Role of Self-Reflection

    Get PDF
Language Assessment Literacy (LAL) is an indispensable component of an English language teacher's professional skill set. In recent decades, a significant volume of research has aimed to elucidate the dimensions of LAL, explore variations in teachers' LAL across diverse contexts, and identify supportive resources. This review will commence with a comprehensive analysis of varying conceptualizations and empirical investigations into teachers' understanding of the concept. Specifically, then, this review centers on the assessment training requirements of English language teachers, the effectiveness of current assessment training programs, and the role of self-reflection in fostering the growth of LAL among English language teachers. The findings of this review will offer a thorough overview of the existing body of literature and provide a foundation for future inquiries in the domain of language assessment literacy in English language teaching

Developing a Location-Based Recommender System Using Collaborative Filtering Technique in the Tourism Industry

The rapid growth of new information and products in the virtual environment has made it time consuming to acquire relevant information and knowledge amidst a vast amount of information. Therefore, an intelligent system that can offer the most appropriate and desirable among the large amount of information and products by following the conditions and features selected by each user should be essentially efficient. Systems that perform this task are called recommendation systems. Given the volume of social network data, challenges such as short-term processing and increased accuracy of recommendations are discussed in this type of system. Hence, it can perform processes faster with less error and can be effective in improving the performance of social recommending systems in improving the classification and clustering of information with the help of collaboration filtering methods. This study first develops an innovative conceptual model of a social network-based tourism recommendation system using Flicker network data. This model is based on 9 key components. The comparison show that the proposed method has an accuracy of 0.3% and a lower error rate

Multiphase induction motor drives - a technology status review

    Get PDF
The area of multiphase variable-speed motor drives in general and multiphase induction motor drives in particular has experienced a substantial growth since the beginning of this century. Research has been conducted worldwide and numerous interesting developments have been reported in the literature. An attempt is made to provide a detailed overview of the current state-of-the-art in this area. The elaborated aspects include advantages of multiphase induction machines, modelling of multiphase induction machines, basic vector control and direct torque control schemes and PWM control of multiphase voltage source inverters. The authors also provide a detailed survey of the control strategies for five-phase and asymmetrical six-phase induction motor drives, as well as an overview of the approaches to the design of fault tolerant strategies for post-fault drive operation, and a discussion of multiphase multi-motor drives with single inverter supply. Experimental results, collected from various multiphase induction motor drive laboratory rigs, are also included to facilitate the understanding of the drive operatio

A New Insight into Six Phase Induction Machine Modeling Under Open Phase Fault Condition

    No full text
As the open phase fault occurs in a multiphase induction machine, it continues running even though its dynamic properties drastically changes. If neutral point of stator winding is not grounded, stator phase voltages become unknown and make the modeling so complicated. Using suitable basis vectors in six-dimensional space, phase voltages are calculated efficiently in this paper. Then, machine model in five-dimensional space is used to assess electromechanical torque and speed. So the presented model is a combination of machine models in both six and five-dimensional spaces. In order to make a comparison, previous method to estimate phase voltages is presented too. A simulation has developed to confirm the proposed model
