Se ofrece una revisión de las inscripciones romanas depositadas en el Museo Arqueológico de Gandia (MAGa), intentando extraer sus principales implicaciones socio-económicas. Así mismo, se recogen datos relevantes, como la importancia de las gentes Baebia y Pompeia o la práctica inexistencia de la gens Cornelia. Esta información podría vincularse con una incorporación al ámbito económico romano relacionada con el desarrollo de Dianium y el comercio vitícola

Effects of heat source/sink, radiation and work done by deformation on flow and heat transfer of a viscoelastic fluid over a stretching sheet

AbstractThis paper presents a study of the flow and heat transfer of an incompressible homogeneous second-grade fluid over a non-isothermal stretching sheet. The governing partial differential equations are converted into ordinary differential equations by a similarity transformation. The effects of viscous dissipation, work due to deformation, internal heat generation/absorption and thermal radiation are considered in the energy equation, and the variations of dimensionless surface temperature and dimensionless surface temperature gradient as well as the heat transfer characteristics with various physical parameters are graphed and tabulated. Two cases are studied, namely, (i) a sheet with prescribed surface temperature (PST case) and (ii) a sheet with prescribed heat flux (PHF case)

Fluid flow and radiative nonlinear heat transfer over a stretching sheet

In the present paper, we endeavor to perform a numerical analysis in connection with the boundary layer flow induced in a quiescent fluid by a continuous sheet stretching with velocity uw (x) ∼x1/3 with heat transfer. The effects of thermal radiation using the nonlinear Rosseland approximation are investigated. We search for similarity solutions and reduce the problem to a couple of ordinary differential equations containing three dimensionless parameters: the radiation parameter NR, the temperature ratio parameter θw and the Prandtl number Pr. Consideraciones Arqueoastronómicas sobre el Santuario Ibérico de la Serreta.

En aquest treball presentem l’anàlisi arqueoastronòmic de les restes de l’edifici del santuari de la Serreta i de l’horitzó visible des del seu emplaçament. També analitzem el possible significat de l’orientació de l’edifici del santuari des d’un punt de vista astronòmic. Finalment, fem una breu discussió dels resultats obtinguts tenint en compte els coneixements dels calendaris i els costums en l’orientació dels temples a d’altres cultures al mediterrani antic.We present an archaeoastronomical analysis of the orientation of the remains of the Iberian shrine of La Serreta and the horizon visible from the site. We discuss the meaning of the orientation of the shrine from the astronomical point of view. Finally, we discuss briefly our results in the context of the calendars in use and custom in the orientation of temples in other ancient Mediterranean cultures.En este trabajo presentamos el análisis arqueoastronómico de los restos del edificio del santuario de La Serreta y del horizonte visible desde su emplazamiento. También analizamos el posible significado de la orientación del edificio del santuario desde el punto de vista astronómico. Finalmente, hacemos una breve discusión de los resultados obtenidos a la luz de los conocimientos sobre los calendarios y las costumbres en la orientación de los templos en otras culturas del Mediterráneo antiguo

New ceramic fragments from La Cova de la Sarsa (Bocairent, Valencia) belonging to the Ponsell Collection of the Alcoi Municipal Archaeological Museum

Presentem un petit lot de ceràmiques seleccionades que van ser recuperades en les excavacions realitzades per Fernando Ponsell a la Cova de la Sarsa (Bocairent, València), tornades fa poc al Museu Arqueològic Municipal d’Alcoi després de ser estudiades per M. D. Asquerino. Es tracta d’un conjunt típic del Neolític Antic Cardial. Finalment, assenyalem de forma breu algunes de les problemàtiques en què actualment queda enquadrada la cova en el context del Neolític antic local.
