The White/Sprunt Family Papers consists of photographs, glass plate negatives, correspondence, books, text books, and the Jeanie Sprunt White Diaries. The photographs and negatives are of vacations, family members, and life in Rock Hill, SC from the 1880s to the 1930s. The majority of the books in this collection are textbooks dating from the 1880s with the oldest being from 1848. The Jeanie Sprunt White Diaries consists of 23 dairies kept by Rock Hill resident Jeanie Sprunt White. Jeanie Sprunt White was married to James Spratt White, Jr. of the prominent White Family of Rock Hill, SC. The diaries cover everyday life in Rock Hill, SC from Jeanie Sprunt White\u27s prospective from 1896 to 1937.
