The role of Russia in the world education market

    Get PDF
This article considers the features of the education market formation. It is shown that the undoubted leaders by number of foreigners involved in educational projects are Western European countries (Germany, France, Great Britain) and North American countries (USA and Canada).  Currently, the world education market reflects the patterns of interaction between producers, providers and users of educational services. The current education system is aimed at meeting the demand of foreign citizens on educational services through the use of a whole set of technologies related to improving skills and competitiveness of labor market specialists. It is proved that the leading market is associated with attracting foreign students to obtain higher education in Russia. In this article the main trends in the development of Russian education system were analyzed and results of the "Export of Education" program were described

Formation of motivation to learn the vocation-related language

    Get PDF
The current situation on the global education market bears the need for new approaches to learning Russian as a foreign language. The innovation concerns both professors and students’ activity. The success in comprehension of scientific language is largely dependent on students’ motivation to study the vocation-related language. The article covers the methodological basis of the approach which may improve preparatory department students’ motivation to study

Teaching Russian Interrogative Intonation to Foreign Students

The article deals with teaching Russian intonation of interrogative sentences to foreign students. Mastering this complex aspect of the Russian language causes great difficulties, and Russian intonation is not studied at the origin countries of foreign students. That is why we propose to study interrogative intonation based on variable rows developed by E.A. Bryzgunova. The rows enable students to improve the intonation structure of interrogative sentences, as well as their communication skills

DEVELOPMENT OF A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR CALCULATING THE STRENGTH OF THE MAIN FRAME OF THE VL80s ELECTRIC TRUCK BODY FOR RAILWAY ENGINEERING

    Get PDF
A mathematical model was developed for the main body frame of the VL80s locomotive for railway engineering, including the justification of the design modes available in operation, the calculation of quasistatic characteristics for static loading modes, for single-thrust and double-thrust modes, for compression and tension modes. A calculation is also made on the effect of distributed inertial loads, then the power factors and stresses in the calculated sections of the main body frame of the VL80s electric locomotive are calculated. Summarizing conclusions are given on the maximum voltages in the design modes of the main frame of the VL80s electric locomotive after upgrading with amplification.

We have investigated low temperature growth of GaN nanostructures using halide vapor phase epitaxy on c-oriented Al2O3 and Au coated Al2O3 substrates. Depending on the III/V ratio and the growth temperature, the shape and density of the structures could be controlled. By increasing the GaCl partial pressure, the structure changed from dot-like to nanotubes. The nanotubes, which could be open or closed, were about 1 mu m long with a diameter of typically 200 nm. In addition, it was observed that the nanostructures were spontaneously nucleated at droplets of Ga or, when using Au coated Al2O3, on droplets of Au/Ga alloy. By varying the growth temperature, the inner diameter of the nanotubes could be controlled. The experimental results suggest that this approach with pre-patterned Au coated Al(2)O(3)substrates has the potential for fabrication of well-organized nanotubes with a high density.Original Publication:Carl Hemmingsson, Galia Pozina, Sergey Khromov and Bo Monemar, Growth of GaN nanotubes by halide vapor phase epitaxy, 2011, NANOTECHNOLOGY, (22), 8, 085602.http://dx.doi.org/10.1088/0957-4484/22/8/085602Copyright: Institute of Physics; 1999http://www.iop.org

An algorithm for the integration of information and communication technologies in teaching languages for special purposes (the example of Russian as a foreign language)

    Get PDF
This article is dedicated to the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language for special purposes at an advanced stage of studying for students of non-linguistic disciplines. Based on many years of teaching experience in a virtual environment, the authors show forms of successful organization of the educational process provide tactics and a strategy for studying using presentations, video lectures and webinars, as well as teaching aids based on the electronic platform MOODLE. The developed algorithm of a mixed model of teaching enables good use of the potential of information and communication tools in the practice of teaching the Russian language for special purposes (economics and finance specializations)

Depth profiling at a steel-aluminum interface using slow-flow direct current glow discharge mass spectrometry

    Get PDF
Direct current glow discharge mass spectrometry (dc-GDMS), which relies on sector field mass analyzers, is not commonly used for depth profiling applications because of its slow data acquisition. Nevertheless, dc-GDMS has good reproducibility and low limits of detection, which are analytical features that are encouraging for investigating the potential of dc-GDMS for depth profiling applications. In this work, the diffusion of traces of chromium and nickel was profiled at the interface of a steel-aluminum bilayer using a new sensitive dc-GDMS instrument. The depth profile of the non-treated sample was compared with that of a heat-treated specimen at 400°C for 30 min. Scanning electron micrographs, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) were used to study the diffusion process. The results of the study show that both chromium and nickel are enriched at the steel-aluminum interface, with higher concentrations of both elements for the heat-treated specimen. Two peaks for both chromium and nickel were clearly present at the interface, with a high concentration of chromium in the aluminum layer. This observation is likely a consequence of elemental diffusion from the interface towards the aluminum layer. The presence of the third layer, steel beneath the aluminum layer, might also have contributed to this observation.acceptedVersio
