The analysis of various circumstances related to how theatrical texts were fixed in the silent realm of manuscripts or printed books shows the losses entailed by the «institutionalization » of a genre that was originally conceived for noisy stages. This paper reviews some of the mechanisms by which theatrical performances become manuscripts or printed books through the first half of the 16th century Spanish drama

The finite model property for the variety of Heyting algebras with successor

    Get PDF
The finite model property of the variety of S-algebras was proved by X. Caicedo using Kripke model techniques of the associated calculus. A more algebraic proof, but still strongly based on Kripke model ideas, was given by Muravitskii. In this article we give a purely algebraic proof for the finite model property which is strongly based on the fact that for every element x in a S-algebra the interval [x, S(x)] is a Boolean lattice.Fil: Castiglioni, José Luis. On the variety of Heyting algebras with successor generated by all finite chains

    Get PDF
Contrary to the variety of Heyting algebras, finite Heyting algebras with successor only generate a proper subvariety of that of all Heyting algebras with successor. In particular, all finite chains generate a proper subvariety, SLHω, of the latter. There is a categorical duality between Heyting algebras with successor and certain Priestley spaces. Let X be the Heyting space associated by this duality to the Heyting algebra with successor H. If there is an ordinal κ and a filtration on X such that X = S λ≤κ Xλ, the height of X is the minimun ordinal ξ ≤ κ such that Xc ξ = ∅. In this case, we also say that H has height ξ. This filtration allows us to write the space X as a disjoint union of antichains. We may think that these antichains define levels on this space. We study the way of characterize subalgebras and homomorphic images in finite Heyting algebras with successor by means of their Priestley spaces. We also depict the spaces associated to the free algebras in various subcategories of SLH.Fil: Castiglioni, José Luis. Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Facultad de Ciencias Exactas. Variations of the free implicative semilattice extension of a Hilbert algebra

Celani and Jansana (Math Log Q 58(3):188–207, 2012) give an explicit description of the free implicative semilattice extension of a Hilbert algebra. In this paper, we give an alternative path conducing to this construction. Furthermore, following our procedure, we show that an adjunction can be obtained between the algebraic categories of Hilbert algebras with supremum and that of generalized Heyting algebras. Finally, in the last section, we describe a functor from the algebraic category of Hilbert algebras to that of generalized Heyting algebras, of possible independent interest.Fil: Castiglioni, José Luis. Sustainable savings applied to operating room ventilation at hospitals located in different climatic zones, through control and regulation strategies

    Get PDF
Producción CientíficaIn hospitals, operating rooms are energy-intensive spaces, due to the high flow of outside air required to achieve the necessary indoor air quality. Operating rooms demand ventilation continuously, despite periods of low daily surgical activity. However, by controlling ventilation during inactive periods in the operating room, significant energy savings can be achieved, avoiding penalties on IAQ levels. This paper evaluates the energy savings achieved by introducing ventilation flow control and regulation systems in operating rooms of hospitals located in different climatic zones within Spain. In addition, emissions and economic savings have also been evaluated. Two control and regulation strategies of the air flow to be supplied and extracted in the operating rooms, during periods of inactivity, are studied and include regulation by schedule and regulation by occupancy. Data from a 900-bed university hospital center are used as a reference to evaluate the average occupancy of the operating rooms, and the energy consumption, thus validating the model for calculating the demand of a typical operating room. The energy savings for the regulation by occupancy are 37.5%, and the regulation by schedule are 40% of the annual demand, with respect to an operating room working permanently

Ludebant coram Deo. Sobre la legitimación de la danza en la fiesta del Corpus (siglo XVI)

It is beyond doubt that dances form part of the complex field of XVIth Century  religious, secular and liturgical festivals. This paper considers dance as a manifestation of XVIth Century Corpus Christi and deals with a purely hermeneutical question: the way its role is ideologically legitimated into religious festivities, as well as some of its theatrical components. As a result of a process of integration of different codes in the complex of Early Renaissance theatre, we should think about dance from a typological point of view to understand its sense inside the performance  No cabe la menor duda de que la danza forma parte del complejo territorio de la fiesta teatral del XVI, religiosa y profana, litúrgica y cortesana.
