The cutting movement assessment score (CMAS) qualitative screening tool: application to mitigate anterior cruciate ligament injury risk during cutting
Side-step cutting is an action associated with non-contact anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury with a plethora of negative economical, health, and psychological implications. Although ACL injury risk factors are multifactorial, biomechanical and neuromuscular deficits which contribute to âhigh-riskâ and aberrant movement patterns are linked to ACL injury risk due to increasing knee joint loads and potential ACL loading. Importantly, biomechanical and neuromuscular deficits are modifiable; thus, being able to profile and classify athletes as potentially âhigh-riskâ of injury is a crucial process in ACL injury mitigation. The Cutting Movement Assessment Score (CMAS) is a recently validated field-based qualitative screening tool to identify athletes that display high-risk postures associated with increased non-contact ACL injury risk during side-step cutting. This article provides practitioners with a comprehensive and detailed overview regarding the rationale and implementation of the CMAS. Additionally, this review provides guidance on CMAS methodological procedures, CMAS operational definitions, and training recommendations to assist in the development of more effective non-contact ACL injury risk mitigation programmes

Cultural factors, such as food taboos, negatively influence the promotion of breastfeeding, resulting in early weaning. The aim of this study was to investigate differences in eating habits of a group of mothers in relation to breastfeeding. Cross-sectional study consisting of mothers of children under two years old enrolled in the Child Care Program of two Basic Health Units of Guarapuava-PR. One located in the peripheral region (US 1) and the other in the central area (US 2) to detect differences in eating habits of this population. The study included 96 mothers with mean age 25,11 years, of which 86.5% said they believed that some food would undermine breastfeeding. The main foods to be avoided, according to the mothers, were acidic foods, alcohol, chocolate and soft drinks. Mothers of units 1 and 2 have made mention consumption of foods derived from corn, and only two mentioned in the U.S. 2 beer consumption as food lactogenic black. No differences were found between the health U.S. 1 and U.S. 2. In relation to dietary restrictions were not found relevant data related to the taboos of the interviewees. Highlights the importance of orientation to promote breastfeeding and encourage mothers to solve any doubts, avoiding early weaning and continued breastfeeding until two years of age or older child.40222122

Spectral method for the time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii equation with a harmonic trap
We study the numerical resolution of the time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii
equation, a non-linear Schroedinger equation used to simulate the dynamics of
Bose-Einstein condensates. Considering condensates trapped in harmonic
potentials, we present an efficient algorithm by making use of a spectral
Galerkin method, using a basis set of harmonic oscillator functions, and the
Gauss-Hermite quadrature. We apply this algorithm to the simulation of

Ground state and elementary excitations of single and binary Bose-Einstein condensates of trapped dipolar gases
We analyze the ground-state properties and the excitation spectrum of
Bose-Einstein condensates of trapped dipolar particles. First, we consider the
case of a single-component polarized dipolar gas. For this case we discuss the
influence of the trapping geometry on the stability of the condensate as well
as the effects of the dipole-dipole interaction on the excitation spectrum. We

Mean-field description of collapsing and exploding Bose-Einstein condensates
We perform numerical simulation based on the time-dependent mean-field
Gross-Pitaevskii equation to understand some aspects of a recent experiment by
Donley et al. on the dynamics of collapsing and exploding Bose-Einstein
condensates of Rb atoms. They manipulated the atomic interaction by an
external magnetic field via a Feshbach resonance, thus changing the repulsive
condensate into an attractive one and vice versa. In the actual experiment they
changed suddenly the scattering length of atomic interaction from positive to a
large negative value on a pre-formed condensate in an axially symmetric trap.
Consequently, the condensate collapses and ejects atoms via explosion. We find
that the present mean-field analysis can explain some aspects of the dynamics

Pleomorphic adenoma and carcinoma exâpleomorphic adenoma tumorigenesis: a proteomic analysis
Objectives
To conduct a comprehensive proteomic analysis of normal salivary gland tissue, pleomorphic adenoma (PA), and carcinoma ex-pleomorphic adenoma (CXPA), and validate the proteomic findings using immunohistochemistry.
Methods
Six normal salivary gland tissues, seven PA and seven CXPA samples underwent laser microdissection followed by liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. Protein identification and quantification were performed using MaxQuant software. Statistical analysis and functional enrichment were conducted using the Perseus platform and STRING tool, respectively. Immunohistochemistry was used for validation.
Results
Comparative proteomic analysis revealed 2680 proteins across the three tissue types, with 799 significantly altered between groups. Translocation protein SEC63 homolog, Annexin A6 and Biglycan were up-regulated in CXPA compared to PA. Decorin was markedly up-regulated in both PA and CXPA compared to normal salivary gland (log2 fold changes of 7.58 and 7.38, respectively). Validation confirmed elevated levels of Biglycan and Decorin in the extracellular matrix of CXPA compared to PA.
Conclusions
Proteomic analysis identified differential protein expression patterns associated with malignant transformation of PA into CXPA. Findings indicate a crucial role for extracellular matrix proteins, specifically Biglycan and Decorin, in the tumorigenic progression of PA and CXPA
