An Affine Model of the Term Structure of Interest Rates in Mexico.

We develop and estimate an affine model that characterizes the dynamics of the term structure of interest rates in Mexico. Moreover, we provide empirical evidence on the relationship between the term structure factors and macroeconomic variables. First, we show that the model fits the data remarkably well. Second, we show that the first factor captures movements in the level of the yield curve, while the second factor captures movements in the slope of the curve. Third, the variance decomposition results show that the level factor accounts for a substantial part of the variance at the long end of the yield curve at all horizons. At short horizons, the slope factor accounts for much of the variance at the short end of the yield curve. Finally, we show that movements in the level of the yield curve are associated with movements in long-term inflation expectations, while movements in the slope of the curve are associated with movements in the short-term nominal interest rate.No-Arbitrage, Latent Factors, Term-Structure

A Macroeconomic Model of the Term Structure of Interest Rates in Mexico.

This paper investigates how different macroeconomic shocks affect the term-structure of interest rates in Mexico. In particular, we develop a model that combines a no-arbitrage specification of the term structure with a macroeconomic model of a small open economy. We find that shocks that are perceived to have a persistent effect on inflation affect the level of the yield curve. The effect on medium and long-term yields results from the increase in expected future short rates and in risk premia. With respect to demand shocks, our results show that a positive shock leads to an upward flattening shift in the yield curve. The flattening of the curve is explained by both the monetary policy response and the time-varying term premia.Term-Structure, No-Arbitrage, Macroeconomic Shocks.

An Empirical Analysis of the Mexican Term Structure of Interest Rates.

We study the dynamics of the term-structure of interest rates in Mexico. Specifically, we investigate time variation in bond risk premia and the common factors that have influenced the behavior of the yield curve. We find that term-premia in government bonds appear to be time-varying. We then estimate a principal components model. We find that over 95% of the total variation in the yield curve can be explained by two factors. The first factor captures movements in the level of the yield curve, while the second one captures movements in the slope. Moreover, we find that the level factor is positively correlated with measures of long-term inflation expectations and that the slope factor is negatively correlated with the overnight interest rate.Term-Structure, Time-Varying Risk Premia, Principal Components

¿Es la composición culta, en la actualidad, el procedimiento más productivo para la creación de neologismos?

Amb aquest estudi pretenem demostrar que la composició culta, un fenomen gairebé exclusiu de la formació de neologismes especialitzats o neònims, a poc a poc ha anat guanyant terreny a la composició patrimonial com a procediment utilitzat també per a la creació de neologismes pertanyents a la llengua comuna; i que aquest fenomen ha patit un procés de banalització, com el que pateixen els neònims quan es divulguen, sense que per això perdin la seva co dició d'especialitzats.In this study we seek to show that non-native compound words, almost exclusively a phenomenon in the formation of specialized neologisms or neonisms, have little by little been gaining ground on native compound words as a process that is also used for the formation of neologisms belonging to ordinary language; and that this phenomenon has suffered a process of vulgarization, in the same way as the one experienced by specialized neologisms when they are popularized, without as a result losing their own specialized condition.Con el presente estudio pretendemos demostrar que la composición culta, un fenómeno casi exclusivo de la formación de neologismos especializados o neónimos, poco a poco ha ido ganando terreno a la composición patrimonial como procedimiento utilizado también para la creación de neologismos pertenecientes a la lengua común; y que dicho fenómeno ha sufrido un proceso de banalización, al igual que el que sufren los neónimos cuando se divulgan, sin perder por ello su condición de especializados

Evolución histórica del concepto de neologismo

La neología como proceso de creación léxica no es algo nuevo. De hecho, el interés por ella en las lenguas románicas data de la segunda mitad del siglo pasado. En el mundo francófono el primer coloquio de neología fue organizado en París en 1971 por el Conseil International de la Langue Française. Allí fue donde el Profesor Quemada señaló la necesidad de asentar la neología de manera institucional. Conocido es por todos el famoso número publicado en 1974, el 36, de la revista Langages dedicado a la neología, donde participaron figuras como Guilbert, Gardin, Mortureux, Lefèvre, etc. En el ámbito teórico destacan los trabajos publicados en 1976 por A. The educational evaluation in LOMCE curriculum in Primary: Analysis of the autonomic curricula in Physical Education

La evaluación es uno de los aspectos que determina todo el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje. Debido a sus connotaciones éticas es un proceso que debe ser objeto de análisis. Por ello, el objeto general de este trabajo fue realizar un análisis de los aspectos evaluativos en Educación Física comparando los 17 currículos autonómicos que emanan del reglamento estatal preceptuado en el Real Decreto 126/2014. Para ello se realizó un análisis documental como instrumento de obtención informativa de los 17 reglamentos autonómicos que desarrollan los aspectos evaluativos en Educación Física. Tras la circulación por un grupo de expertos resultaron un total de 12 variables a comparar y analizar. Los resultados del análisis muestran la tendencia a la eliminación a los objetivos de área, el aumento preponderante de criterios (M=61,53) y, sobre todo, de estándares de aprendizaje (M=200,24) que la mayoría de currículos secuencia por niveles educativos. Así mismo, cabe resaltar la casi inexistencia en la mayoría de Comunidades Autónomas de orientaciones para una evaluación más educativa en el área de Educación FísicaAsssessment is one of the aspects that determines the entire teaching-learning process. Due to its ethical connotations it is a process that must be analyzed. Therefore, the general purpose of this work was to perform an analysis of the evaluation aspects in Physical Education comparing the 17 regional curricula that emanate from the state regulation prescribed in Royal Decree 126/2014. To this end, a documentary analysis was carried out as an instrument to obtain information on the 17 regional regulations that develop the evaluation aspects in Physical Education. After the circulation by a group of experts, a total of 12 variables were analyzed and analyzed. Trabalho de projecto de mestrado em Engenharia Informática, apresentado à Universidade de Lisboa, através da Faculdade de Ciências, 2008Este documento descreve o trabalho realizado no âmbito da disciplina de Projecto em Engenharia Informática do Mestrado em Engenharia Informática da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. É descrito o estágio realizado na WeDo Technologies no âmbito do projecto, que sistematiza a desactivação técnica de clientes Sonaecom fixo que pretendam desistir dos serviços de telefone, Internet e televisão, de um modo automático, permitindo a sistematização do processo. Com este processo, as desactivações efectuam-se de forma mais clara, num menor período de tempo, com a garantia que efectivamente se desactiva os clientes nas diferentes interfaces envolvidas. É descrita a implementação do projecto através de uma framework de modelação de processos de negócio, proprietária da WeDo Technologies, o Activis, que permite, controlar os processos, o ciclo de vida do negócio e as interacções entre sistemas e pessoas. Descrevem-se as tecnologias utilizadas, as interfaces envolvidas e o modo como cada uma destas interage com o processo de negócio, bem como, a implementação das mesmas, através do Activis.This document describes the work developed in the scope of the course Project in Computer Science Engineering for the Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. The project was conducted at WeDo Technologies and describes the process of deactivating customers from Sonaecom Fixo, that intend to quit one or more of the telephone, Internet or television services, in an automatic way. Therefore, the deactivation procedure becomes clearer and quicker, offering guarantees for complete client removal from all involved interfaces. The implementation of the project, using a modeling framework of business processes, Activis (developed by WeDo Technologies), is described. This allows the control of the processes, the business’ life cycle and systems and people interactions. O Bairro Operário de Portimão : história e património

Dissertação de Mestrado em Estudos do Património apresentada à Universidade AbertaA Revolução Industrial marcou uma nova ordem económica e social na Europa. O afluxo de população rural às cidades, à procura de melhores condições de vida, obrigou a uma reorganização da urbe, que veio alterar substancialmente o desenho urbano e dotar as cidades de uma nova vivência social e económica. Por várias cidades europeias proliferaram bairros operários, inicialmente com condi-ções de habitabilidade muito reduzidas, abaixo do humanamente exigível, até às con-cepções de melhor qualidade, promovidas tanto por exigência legal, como por iniciativa de alguns empresários. Foram diversas as concepções de habitação operária que ao longo dos anos foram estudadas e aplicadas. Assistiu-se a uma fase de grande experimentação que criou a base para o que hoje se pratica um pouco por todo o mundo. O bairro operário de Portimão, assinalável no contexto da habitação operária em Por-tugal, foi concebido na década de 30 do século XX, ligado à indústria conserveira, emergente na cidade, nessa época. Com o decorrer dos anos foi sendo alterado em fun-ção de necessidades dos seus moradores, mas manteve a sua unidade como bairro. Neste trabalho propõe-se a musealização deste bairro, de modo a preserva-lo e a dá-lo a conhecer à população. O objectivo é marcar este espaço urbano como um testemu-nho da história da cidade, inserido num contexto que a marcou profundamente e a con-dicionou até aos dias de hoje, como factor fundamental para o seu desenvolvimento.The Industrial Revolution marked a new social and economic order in Europe. The influx of rural populations to cities in search of better living conditions, forced the reorganization of the municipality, which substantially changed the urban design and gave it a new social and economic life. In several European towns proliferated workers neighbourhoods, initially in very poor living conditions, even below human requirements, to the conception of better quality, promoted both by legal requirements and by the initiative of some businessmen. There were different conceptions of workers housing that over the years were studied and applied. It was a time of great experimentation that created the basis for what today is practiced all over the world. The workers neighbourhood of Portimão, remarkable in the context of workers hous-ing in Portugal, was designed in the 1930s and linked to the canning industry emerging in the city at that time. Over the years it has been altered in accordance with the needs of the residents, but it has maintained its unity as a neighbourhood. In this work, it is proposed to immortalize it as a living museum, to preserve it so that the population may know of it. The aim is to make this urban space a testimony of the city's history, in a context that was profoundly conditioned, up to the present, as a key factor for its development

A escola e a comunidade : uma experiência profissional : relatório de atividade profissional

As relações escola-comunidade, em particular o envolvimento parental no processo educativo, têm estado envoltas em antagonismos paradoxais. Ao reconhecimento da importância da participação dos pais na escola, quer por via legislativa, quer por via discursiva dos mais variados quadrantes, não tem correspondido a prática sustentada da democratização das escolas, consagrantes de um envolvimento comunitário na organização e operacionalização dos seus projetos educativos. Através de uma viagem introspetiva ao meu percurso profissional como docente e gestor, no ensino privado e no ensino público, pretendo aclarar algumas das barreiras ao envolvimento parental na escola e encontrar pistas sobre como desenvolver a participação dos pais e encarregados de educação. As dinâmicas de construção comunitária, levadas a cabo no Agrupamento de Escolas de Briteiros tiveram o efeito de transformar a escola num núcleo agregador do seu meio envolvente e ajudam a evidenciar as enormes potencialidades decorrentes de uma efetiva participação dos pais e das comunidades na vida das escolas.School-community relationships, particularly parental involvement in the educational process, have been involved in paradoxical antagonisms. The recognition of the importance of parents` participation in school, by, either legal means or discourse from the most varied fronts, hasn’t been met by sustained practices of democratization of the schools, consecrators of a community involvement in the organization and operationalization of their educational projects. Through an introspective journey of my professional path as a teacher and manager, both in private and public systems, I intend to clarify some of the barriers to parental involvement in school and find clues on how to develop parent’s participation. The dynamics of community construction, performed in Agrupamento de Escolas de Briteiros had the effects of transforming the school in an aggregative nucleus of the surrounding environment and help to evidence the enormous potential deriving from an effective participation of the parents and the community in school life
