    Get PDF

Study and analysis of OEEML Indicator applied in a autoparts company

    Get PDF
The industry has been transformed based on new philosophies of work and tools since an industrial revolution. What we see today in the market is a big competition between companies and this makes the search for a customer throughout the year to ensure the quality assurance increases more and more. Moreover, for the competitive price, the best that exists is the same or even eliminate waste, i.e. excluding what does not add value to the production process. With this, companies seek the database and performance management tools to measure the evolution of a process. Thus, the OEE is an indicator that measures the efficiency of an individual but is not even sufficient to drive the overall improvement of the production system when it involves interrelated equipment. This article had as its theme the OEEML presented as a derivation of the OEE that, besides the losses of availability, performance and quality, considers the unknown losses in production. The research method was made in manufacturing cells and divided into six stages, as follows: (1) Preparation stage; (2) Preliminary information about a company and a cell; (3) Monitoring in the production cell; (4) Data collection plan; (5) Loss identification for OEEML and (6) Loss identification. Thus, the result is the same as the OEEML, it is presented as an indicator that analyzes a real efficiency of the productive process studied, as well as the value of the line

The study aimed to verify the effects of CIDR (P4) first, second or third use on PR in protocols for TAI. Five hundred and forty-seven Nelore cows were divided: CIDR1 (CIDR first use; n=196); CIDR2 (second use; n=188) and CIDR3 (third use; n=163). All animals were submitted to the same protocol: day 0(d0), 2mg EB+CIDR1, CIDR2 or CIDR3, according the CIDR use; d9, CIDR removal + 12.5 dinoprost thrometamin+0.6mg ECP + 48 hours calf removal; d11, TAI + return of the calves to dams. The overall pregnancy rate (PR) was 63.8, 53.7 and 27.0% for CIDR1, CIDR2, and CIDR3, respectively. Differences in the PR were observed between: CIDR1 and CIDR2 (P=0.04); CIDR1 and CIDR3 (P=0.0001); and CIDR2 and CIDR3 (P=0.0001). The open days (OD) in post partum and body condition score (BCS) resulted in differences (P<0.05) among groups. There was a correlation between open days in CIDR 1 and 2 versus BCS, as well as between BCS of the CIDR 1 and 3 against PR In conclusion, CIDR1 showed better reproductive efficiency than CIDR2 and CIDR3 use. Differences were observed between the groups in regard to DO, and by cows submitted to CIDR earlier in the postpartum period having a lower PR than those submitted at a later time. A BCS of 3.1 resulted in a higher PR than those with 3.5 and 3.7.

Neuromuscular training and muscle strengthening in patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome: a protocol of randomized controlled trial

Background: Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a common musculoskeletal condition, particularly among women. Patients with PFPS usually experience weakness in the gluteal muscles, as well as pain and impaired motor control during activities of daily living. Strengthening the hip muscles is an effective way of treating this disorder. Neuromuscular training has also been identified as a therapeutic tool, although the benefits of this intervention in patients with PFPS patients remain inconclusive.Design: This is a protocol of randomized controlled trial with a blind assessor. Thirty-four women with a clinical diagnosis of PFPS participated. These participants were allocated into two groups (experimental and control). the experimental group performed twelve sessions to strengthen the knee extensors, hip abductor and lateral rotator muscles in association with neuromuscular training of the trunk and lower extremities. the control group performed the same number of sessions to strengthen the muscles of the hip and knee. the primary outcome was functional capacity (Anterior Knee Pain Scale - AKPS) at 4 weeks. Pain intensity, muscle strength and kinematic changes were also measured during the step down test after four weeks of intervention. Follow up assessments were conducted after three and six months to assess functional capacity and pain. the effects of the treatment (i.e. between-group differences) were calculated using mixed linear models.Discussion: the present study was initiated on the 1st of April 2013 and is currently in progress. the results of this study may introduce another effective technique of conservative treatment and could guide physical therapists in the clinical decision-making process for women with PFPS.Univ Nove Julho, Dept Rehabil Sci, Human Mot Anal Lab, São Paulo, BrazilUniversidade Federal de São Paulo, BR-11060000 São Paulo, BrazilIrmandade Santa Casa Misericordia, São Paulo, BrazilUniv Cidade São Paulo, Masters & Doctoral Programs Phys Therapy, São Paulo, BrazilGeorge Inst Global Hlth, Musculoskeletal Div, Sydney, NSW, AustraliaUniversidade Federal de São Paulo, BR-11060000 São Paulo, BrazilWeb of Scienc

An Approach for Environment Mapping and Control of Wall Follower Cellbot Through Monocular Vision and Fuzzy System

    Get PDF
This paper presents an approach using range measurement through homography calculation to build 2D visual occupancy grid and control the robot through monocular vision. This approach is designed for a Cellbot architecture. The robot is equipped with wall following behavior to explore the environment, which enables the robot to trail objects contours, residing in the fuzzy control the responsibility to provide commands for the correct execution of the robot movements while facing the adversities in the environment. In this approach the Cellbot camera works as a sensor capable of correlating the images elements to the real world, thus the system is capable of finding the distances of the obstacles and that information is used for the occupancy grid mapping and for fuzzy control input. Experimental results with V-REP simulator are presented to validate the proposal, and the results were favorable to the use in robotics and in acceptable computing time.Sociedad Argentina de Informática e Investigación Operativa (SADIO

NOVO ALGORITMO BASEADO NO USO DOS SLOTS PARA DEFINIÇÃO DE ROTEAMENTO NAS REDES ÓPTICAS ELÁSTICAS

    Get PDF

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of cotrimoxazole on the in vitro susceptibility of Coccidioides posadasii strains to antifungals. A total of 18 strains of C. posadasii isolated in Brazil were evaluated in this study. The assays were performed in accordance with the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines and the combinations were tested using the checkerboard method. The minimum inhibitory concentrations were reduced by 11, 2.4, 4.3 and 3.5 times for amphotericin B, itraconazole, fluconazole and voriconazole, respectively. Moreover, it was seen that cotrimoxazole itself inhibited C. posadasii strains in vitro. The impairment of folic acid synthesis may be a potential antifungal target for C. posadasii.Universidade Federal do Ceará Centro Especializado em Micologia MédicaUniversidade Federal do Ceará Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências MédicasUniversidade Federal do Ceará Departamento de QuímicaUniversidade Federal do Ceará Departamento de EstatísticaUniversidade Estadual do Ceará Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência VeterináriaUniversidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP) Departamento de Microbiologia, Imunologia e ParasitologiaUNIFESP, Depto. de Microbiologia, Imunologia e ParasitologiaSciEL

A list of land plants of Parque Nacional do Caparaó, Brazil, highlights the presence of sampling gaps within this protected area

    Get PDF
Brazilian protected areas are essential for plant conservation in the Atlantic Forest domain, one of the 36 global biodiversity hotspots. A major challenge for improving conservation actions is to know the plant richness, protected by these areas. Online databases offer an accessible way to build plant species lists and to provide relevant information about biodiversity. A list of land plants of “Parque Nacional do Caparaó” (PNC) was previously built using online databases and published on the website "Catálogo de Plantas das Unidades de Conservação do Brasil." Here, we provide and discuss additional information about plant species richness, endemism and conservation in the PNC that could not be included in the List. We documented 1,791 species of land plants as occurring in PNC, of which 63 are cited as threatened (CR, EN or VU) by the Brazilian National Red List, seven as data deficient (DD) and five as priorities for conservation. Fifity-one species were possible new ocurrences for ES and MG states
