The SpeakIn System Description for CNSRC2022

This report describes our speaker verification systems for the tasks of the CN-Celeb Speaker Recognition Challenge 2022 (CNSRC 2022). This challenge includes two tasks, namely speaker verification(SV) and speaker retrieval(SR). The SV task involves two tracks: fixed track and open track. In the fixed track, we only used CN-Celeb.T as the training set. For the open track of the SV task and SR task, we added our open-source audio data. The ResNet-based, RepVGG-based, and TDNN-based architectures were developed for this challenge. Global statistic pooling structure and MQMHA pooling structure were used to aggregate the frame-level features across time to obtain utterance-level representation. We adopted AM-Softmax and AAM-Softmax combined with the Sub-Center method to classify the resulting embeddings. We also used the Large-Margin Fine-Tuning strategy to further improve the model performance. In the backend, Sub-Mean and AS-Norm were used. In the SV task fixed track, our system was a fusion of five models, and two models were fused in the SV task open track. And we used a single system in the SR task. Our approach leads to superior performance and comes the 1st place in the open track of the SV task, the 2nd place in the fixed track of the SV task, and the 3rd place in the SR task.Comment: 4 page

Background and objective To research the effect and practicalbility of lobectomy with bronchoplasty and reconstruction of pulmonary artery by minitrauma-technique for lung cancer. Methods We retrospectibely reviewed our experience on 61 cases being lobectomy with bronchoplasty and bronchoplasty with or without video assisted thoracic small incision surgery for lung cancer from July 2005 to June 2009 from Shandong Provincal Hospital and 46 cases simultaneously by routine posterolateral incision. All patients whose bronchus and/or pulmonary artery were involved underwent the operation and experienced the bronchial sleeve/wedge resection or reconstruction of the pulmonary artery. Results All patients were done operation successfully and there were no operative mortality and no occurrence of anastomosis stenosis as well as fistula. The small incisions’ length was from 8 cm-15 cm while the routine posterolateral incision’s length was 25 cm-35 cm. The patients done the operation of small incision had less postoperative shoulder joint dysfunction and had better quality of life compaired to the patients done the routine posterolateral incision. Conclusion Lobectomy with bronchoplasty and reconstruction of pulmonary artery by minitrauma-technique for lung cancer could finished the same work with the traditional thoracic lateral incision and had less trauma, less pain, less recovery time

Assessing spatiotemporal bikeability using multi-source geospatial big data:A case study of Xiamen, China

    Get PDF
This study focuses on the development of a new framework for evaluating bikeability in urban environments with the aim of enhancing sustainable urban transportation planning. To close the research gap that previous studies have disregarded the dynamic environmental factors and trajectory data, we propose a framework that comprises four sub-indices: safety, comfort, accessibility, and vitality. Utilizing open-source data, advanced deep neural networks, and GIS spatial analysis, the framework eliminates subjective evaluations and is more efficient and comprehensive than prior methods. The experimental results on Xiamen, China, demonstrate the effectiveness of the framework in identifying areas for improvement and enhancing cycling mobility. The proposed framework provides a structured approach for evaluating bikeability in different geographical contexts, making reproducing bikeability indices easier and more comprehensive to policymakers, transportation planners, and environmental decision-makers.</p

These permissions are granted for the duration of the World Health Organization (WHO) declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic. This article describes a peer support project developed and carried out by a group of experienced mental health professionals, organized to offer peer psychological support from overseas to healthcare professionals on the frontline of the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan, China. This pandemic extremely challenged the existing health care systems and caused severe mental distress to frontline healthcare workers. The authors describe the infrastructure of the team and a novel model of peer support and crisis intervention that utilized a popular social media application on smartphone. Such a model for intervention that can be used elsewhere in the face of current global pandemic, or future disaster response

Does board independence influence financial performance in IPO firms? The moderating role of the national business system

    Get PDF
Prior evidence suggests that board independence may enhance financial performance, but this relationship has been tested almost exclusively for Anglo-American countries. To explore the boundary conditions of this prominent governance mechanism, we examine the impact of the formal and information institutions of 18 national business systems on the board independence-financial performance relationship. Our results show that while the direct effect of independence is weak, national-level institutions significantly moderate the independence-performance relationship. Our findings suggest that the efficacy of board structures is likely to be contingent on the specific national context, but the type of legal system is insignificant

IntroductionThe SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant has become the dominant SARS-CoV-2 variant and exhibits immune escape to current COVID-19 vaccines, the further boosting strategies are required.MethodsWe have conducted a non-randomized, open-label and parallel-controlled phase 4 trial to evaluate the magnitude and longevity of immune responses to booster vaccination with intramuscular adenovirus vectored vaccine (Ad5-nCoV), aerosolized Ad5-nCoV, a recombinant protein subunit vaccine (ZF2001) or homologous inactivated vaccine (CoronaVac) in those who received two doses of inactivated COVID-19 vaccines. ResultsThe aerosolized Ad5-nCoV induced the most robust and long-lasting neutralizing activity against Omicron variant and IFNg T-cell response among all the boosters, with a distinct mucosal immune response. SARS-CoV-2-specific mucosal IgA response was substantially generated in subjects boosted with the aerosolized Ad5-nCoV at day 14 post-vaccination. At month 6, participants boosted with the aerosolized Ad5-nCoV had remarkably higher median titer and seroconversion of the Omicron BA.4/5-specific neutralizing antibody than those who received other boosters. DiscussionOur findings suggest that aerosolized Ad5-nCoV may provide an efficient alternative in response to the spread of the Omicron BA.4/5 variant.Clinical trial registrationhttps://www.chictr.org.cn/showproj.html?proj=152729, identifier ChiCTR2200057278

Solving the neutron slowing down equation

    No full text
It is well-known that the neutron slowing down equation has an exact solution in the case where the moderator is only made of hydrogen (A=1). In this paper we consider the case where the moderator is made with heavy water (A=2) and show that it is possible to approximate the transition probability by a law with the same expectation, but leads to an analytic solution of the same type as for A=1. We also show that such an analytic solution gives a lot of information about what happens in the core of a nuclear reactor, and gives a way to compute self-shielded cross sections.

The Impact of regulatory enforcement on harmonization of accounting practices - evidence from China

    No full text
This paper evaluates China's regulatory enforcement in 2001 on the harmonization of accounting practices. We find that the Chinese Government's 2001 compulsory harmonization policy has made a significant contribution to reducing the differences between Chinese GAAP-based earnings and IFRS-based earnings for many line items. The decline of earnings differences is because of the firms' application of the standards rather than differences in the standards. We believe that the harmonization of accounting practices in line with IFRS can be achieved by effective enforcement of standards
