Corporate crime - its underestimation and breaching to ethics and humanity from a criminological perspective
This paper is the final result of a research that embraces the scope of Corporate Crime from a criminological perspective. Accordingly, it reviews the impacts of Corporate Crime and how to control it. This research states that Corporate Crime currently is underestimated on its effects and harm to society, as society conceives Street Crime as more injurious and harmful to it. It is the goal of this paper to prove that Corporate Crime is indeed more harmful to society than Street Crime and that infusing more and stronger ethical and human values in educational institutions, and more non-conventional sanctions could prevent and reduce it.Este artículo es el resultado final de una investigación que comprende el alcance del Crimen Corporativo desde una perspectiva criminológica.
A new species of Phymaturus of the P. mallimaccii Group from the Andes of central Chile (Iguania: Liolaemidae)
A new species of Phymaturus from the Provincia Mountain in the San Ramón Mountains in the Metropolitan Region of Chile is described. It is a member of the P. palluma Group and the P. mallimaccii subgroup. The new species can be distinguished from other members of the P. mallimaccii subgroup by having a highly fragmented subocular scale (4 or 5), a preocular scale that is smaller than the canthal, males having a olive dorsum with a diffuse pattern of light bands on the paravertebral fields and a light triangle between the shoulders, which has the apex of the triangle oriented toward the snout. The distribution of new species lies south of that of other members of the P. mallimaccii subgroup, from which it is completely isolated. The low abundance of the new species is noteworthy. Information about the natural history of the lizard is provided and some aspects of unnamed populations of Chilean Phymaturus are discussed.
An analysis of installation of submarine pipelines
There are different methods of construction of outfall pipelines, all of them have to solve the problem of placing a tube over a known location in sea bed. This process has sometimes to be done in difficult conditions as waves, current or depths greater than 30 metres, where a
diver cannot go safely beyond. Also the placement of the pipeline must be carried out without any damage to the tube, therefore a close control of the deflections and stresses in the structure must be performed. The importance of this control should be not diminished because a damage during the construction would imply a very difficult and expensive repair, that should be avoided with a proper design of the construction process. This paper is focused in the analysis of the tube during its placement according to a very well known construction method consisting in placing the tube from a boat, where all the connections between consecutive tube segments are performed, and also the whole process is controlled. This method is used for outfall as well as offshore pipelines, and it will be described in Section
A new species of Liolaemus related to L. nigroviridis from the Andean highlands of Central Chile (Iguania, Liolaemidae)
Indexación: Web of Science; Scopus. The Liolaemus nigroviridis group is a clade of highland lizards endemic to Chile. These species are distributed from northern to central Chile, and currently there are no cases of sympatric distribution. This study describes a new species, Liolaemus uniformis sp. n., from this group, and provides a detailed morphological characterization and mitochondrial phylogeny using cytochrome-b. Liolaemus uniformis was found in sympatry with L. nigroviridis but noticeably differed in size, scalation, and markedly in the color pattern, without sexual dichromatism. This new species has probably been confused with L. monticola and L. bellii, both of which do not belong to the nigroviridis group. The taxonomic issues of this group that remain uncertain are also discussed.https://zookeys.pensoft.net/articles.php?id=601
Microlophus tarapacensis (Donoso-Barros, 1966) (Squamata: Tropiduridae) type locality restriction proposals based on historical evidences
The type locality of Microlophus tarapacensis, Tarapacá desert (km 10.000), is inaccurate, which has not allowed an adequate definition of this taxon. After analyzing all the available historical information provided by the descriptor, Roberto Donoso-Barros, it is proposed to restrict the type locality to transect between the formers Central and Pozo Almonte train stations (approximately 22 km), Tarapacá Region, Chile.

Here I review the taxonomic status of Liolaemus filiorum (L. montanus group, Eulaemus subgenus), a poorly known species described based only on two specimens. By studying its description and holotype, I concluded that L. filiorum is a junior synonym of L. puritamensis. Additionally, I provide a comparison between L. puritamensis and some related species.Asociación Herpetológica Argentina (AHA
