Rivas-Martínez; Avenula sulcata (Gay ex Delastre) Dumort. subsp. aibinervis (Boiss.) Rivas-Martínez.Some systematic, chorologic and ecological data of Spanish Flora are included in this papel. Also we proposed the following new combinations: Phlomis purpurea L. subsp. almeriensis (Pau) Losa & Rivas Goday; Phlomis purpurea L. subsp. caballeroi (Pau) Rivas-Martínez; Phlomis italica L. subsp. antiatlantica (Peltier) Rivas-Martínez; Hormathophylla Iapeyrousiana (Jordan) Kupfer subsp. angustifolia (Willk.) Rivas-Martínez; Avenula sulcata (Gay ex Delastre) Dumort. subsp. albinervis (Boiss.)
Taxonomy, ecology and distribution of Juniperus Oxycedrus L. Group in the mediterranean basin using bioclimatic, phytochemical and morphometric approaches, with special reference to the Iberian Peninsula
Several studies have been conducted in the past to clarify various aspects of species in
the genus Juniperus L. One critical group is Juniperus oxycedrus L., especially from the taxonomical
point of view. For this reason, we have studied the ecology, taxonomy and distribution of the taxa
in the J. oxycedrus group. From an ecological and distribution standpoint, in this work we use the
ombroedaphoxeric index (Ioex) to explain the presence of Juniperus populations in ombrotypes that
are not optimum for these taxa. The controversy over the taxonomy of J. oxycedrus subsp. badia (H.
Gay) Debeaux and J. oxycedrus subsp. lagunae (Pau ex C. Vicioso) Rivas Mart. is clarified, and it is
accepted as a valid name, J. oxycedrus subsp. badia. The phytochemical differences in essential oils
(EO) are addressed and their similarities analyzed; greater similarities are observed between oxycedrus
and badia, and between navicularis Gand. and macrocarpa (Sm.) Ball. species. The phytochemical,
molecular and distribution differences allow J. oxycedrus subsp. macrocarpa (Sm.) Ball and J. navicularis
Gand. to be maintained as species. The results obtained make it possible to establish the rank to which
the taxa belong and allow clear discrimination between species in groups that are difficult to interpret.
Ecological, bioclimatic, phytochemical and morphometric similarities allow us to subordinate the
subsp. macrocarpa to the species J. navicularis.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
On the Role of Relative Prices and Capital Flows in Balance-of-Payments Constrained Growth: the Experiences of Portugal and Spain in the Euro Area
Broadly speaking, the balance-of-payments constraint hypothesis as developed by Thirlwall has been empirically supported. Yet, it shows some shortcomings highlighted in the literature. In our opinion, two of them must be analysed. First, temporary disequilibria and capital flows must be incorporated into the balance-of-payments constrained growth models. Second, the role of relative prices must be made explicit, since it can be relevant even in an external constraint framework. This study is aimed at developing a model that incorporates both possibilities: temporary external disequilibria and a the impact of relative prices. This model is subsequently used to analyse the evolution of the Spanish and Portuguese economies in last decades, and, in particular, the different path shown by both countries since their accession to the Eurozone. Growth, Balance of payments constraint, Exchange rate.
The Almirall Project: a portal of 19 th century culture and thinking
The Ateneu Barcelonès is a civil, private cultural association that has been a part of Spanish society and culture since 1860, having been founded with the aim of promoting dialogue and disseminating knowledge about the country's artistic, historical and intellectual heritage. Since 2005, been taking part in various digitisation projects, including several digital projects. The Almirall Project aims to be a portal that explains, contextualises and inter-relates 19th-century works, thinkers, artists and schools of thought at Barcelona's Ateneu Library, providing access to digital copies lodged at other portals

Temporal Indices of Landscape Change: A Proposal to Measure Variations in the Conservation Status of Vegetation at Fine Resolution
P. 1-16The goal of this study was to propose scientific and objective indices capable of measuring
the changes that occur in the conservation status of the vegetation of a particular area over a period
of time. To this end, phytosociologically-based vegetation cartography at a detailed scale was
used, carried out at two di erent times, and the distance from the climax stage of the territory was
calculated for each time. Three temporal indices of landscape change are proposed: Conservation
Status Variation Index (ConSVI), Conservation Status Variation Velocity Index (ConSVVe) and Change
Ratio (ChanRat). These enable the intensity, velocity, and percentage of change to be measured, and to
determine whether this change is progressive or regressive—in other words, whether it is approaching
or receding from the climax. To test the proposal, it was applied to a territory in Northwest Spain.
The proposed indices are universally applicable to any territory and are the first of their kind to
operate at a detailed scale with a phytosociological basis. They also enable an objective measurement
to be made of the landscape change that has occurred, meaning that they have immense practical
utility in studies of managing and planning territorial resources.S
