(INTRODUÇÃO) Os sistemas de abastecimento de água são constituídos por infraestruturas de produção e distribuição de um bem económico de grande valor que é a água para consumo humano. Para que possa atingir os seus objetivos de gestão, qualquer entidade gestora (EG) tem necessidade de procurar um bom grau de eficiência e de eficácia. A eficiência mede até que ponto os recursos disponíveis são utilizados de modo otimizado para a produção do serviço. A eficácia mede até que ponto os objetivos de gestão, definidos específica e realisticamente, foram cumpridos. O bom funcionamento de qualquer sistema de distribuição de água pressupõe que os consumidores tenham continuamente à sua disposição, nos locais de consumo, água potável em quantidade suficiente, à pressão adequada e com o menor custo possível. Para que tal seja possível é necessário que as infraestruturas existentes sejam adequadas, que os recursos naturais disponíveis sejam racionalmente utilizados e que este conjunto seja gerido com eficácia e sustentabilidade (ALEGRE et al, 2005, pág.21). Perante a necessidade de promover o uso eficiente da água em Portugal, surgiu o Programa Nacional para o Uso Eficiente da Água (PNUEA), cujas bases e linhas de orientação foram aprovadas pela Resolução de Conselho de Ministros nº 113/2005, de 30 de Junho, onde são definidas metas a alcançar num prazo de 10 anos. O PNUEA é constituído por 87 medidas repartidas por 3 setores distintos, 14 destinam-se ao setor industrial, 23 ao agrícola, sendo as restantes 50 aplicadas ao setor urbano. Destas 50 medidas, 26 destinam-se simultaneamente ao setor industrial, perfazendo um total de 40 medidas aplicadas ao mesmo. Segundo o Plano Nacional da Água, 2002, as estimativas no ano 2000 indicavam um desperdício de água de 40% no sector agrícola, 30% no industrial e 40 % no sector urbano. Tendo em conta estes valores alarmantes, o PNUEA estabeleceu, para um período de 10 anos, metas a alcançar, nomeadamente reduzir para 20%, 35% e 15%, os desperdícios nos setores urbano, agrícola e industrial, respetivamente

Optical Coherence Spectro-Tomography by all-Optical Depth-Wavelength analysis

Current spectroscopic optical coherence tomography (OCT) methods rely on a posteriori numerical calculation. We present an alternative for accessing optically the spectroscopic information in OCT, i.e. without any post-processing, by using a grating based correlation and a wavelength demultiplexing system. Conventional A-scan and spectrally resolved A-scan are directly recorded on the image sensor. Furthermore, due to the grating based system, no correlation scan is necessary. Este estudo, o papel do diretor de turma na escola, desenvolveu-se na escola sede de um agrupamento de escolas do concelho da Moita. Pretendeu-se analisar o perfil do diretor de turma, as suas funções, os desafios, as motivações e as relações que são estabelecidas na escola. A escolha do tema para o estudo de investigação teve em conta a minha experiência profissional e o meu interesse pessoal pela figura do diretor de turma. O estudo teve como principal objetivo conhecer a perceção dos diretores de turma no desenvolvimento do seu trabalho e as relações que estabelecem na organização escolar. Para além disso, pretendia-se, também, compreender o seu papel e a sua importância na organização escolar, analisar as suas funções, as competências, e as dificuldades sentidas no desempenho do cargo, e ainda, identificar as mudanças propostas. Com a conclusão deste estudo, pretendemos dar resposta à seguinte questão de partida: - Qual é o papel e a relação que o diretor de turma estabelece na organização escolar? A metodologia de investigação utilizada foi o Estudo de Caso, tendo-se utilizado o instrumento para a recolha de dados, a entrevista semiestruturada, aplicado a dezasseis participantes. Posteriormente, foi realizada a análise de conteúdo, que foi previamente categorizada. Concluiu-se que o diretor de turma continua a ser o elo de ligação entre os vários intervenientes na relação educativa. É considerado como uma figura de liderança na organização escolar, uma vez que cabe ao diretor de turma estabelecer a comunicação entre os encarregados de educação, os demais professores, os alunos e os órgãos de gestão. Salienta-se a relação que o diretor de turma estabelece com os alunos da sua direção de turma, uma vez que é o docente que melhor os conhece, que se preocupa com eles e até de amizade, acompanhando de forma diária e atenta os desafios a que os alunos são sujeitos. No entanto, constata-se que continua motivado para desempenhar o seu papel de diretor de turma.This study, the role of the headteacher in the school, was carried out in the main school of a school grouping in the municipality of Moita. The aim was to analyse the profile of the headteacher, their duties, challenges, motivations and the relationships that are established in the school. The choice of topic for the research study took into account my professional experience and my personal interest in the figure of the headteacher. The main aim of the study was to get to know the perception of headteachers in the development of their work and the relationships they establish in the school organisation. It also aimed to understand their role and importance in the school organisation, analyse their functions, competences and the difficulties they experience in carrying out their duties, and to identify proposed changes. The purpose of this study is to answer the following questions: - What is the role and relationship of the headteacher in the school organisation? The research method used was a case study. The instrument used for data collection was a semi-structured interview conducted with sixteen participants. A content analysis was then carried out and categorised beforehand. It was concluded that the headteacher continues to be the link between the different actors in the educational relationship. He or she is seen as a leading figure in the school organisation, as it is the headteacher's task to establish communication between parents, other teachers, pupils and the governing bodies. The relationship that the headteacher establishes with the pupils in his class is remarkable, as he is the teacher who knows them best, who cares for them and even befriends them, and who observes the challenges that the pupils face on a daily basis. Between dialogue and dissent: a discussion of the theses of Roberto Mangabeira Unger

This paper discusses the importance of Roberto Mangabeira Unger's ideas, since he establishes new parameters for the occidental democracy, the institutions and the Brazilian society as a whole. His theory, by attempting to re-qualify the debate on democracy from the adoption of new institutional alternatives, expresses an experimentalist bias. Using Marxist assumptions with schumpeterian assumptions, the author is considered, in Anderson's (1992) words, as: "a prophet of the first world, from a philosophical approach of the third world". In this way, understanding his theories and dialoguing/disagreeing become key objectives of this work.Este artigo apresenta as principais teses do pensador Roberto Mangabeira Unger relacionadas a uma interpretação dos novos parâmetros da democracia ocidental, das instituições e da sociedade brasileira como um todo. Também desenvolve um diálogo com o autor, questionando alguns dos seus fundamentos. Mangabeira, ao pretender requalificar o debate sobre a democracia, a partir da adoção de novas alternativas institucionais, coloca-se num viés experimentalista. Exercício e saúde infantil : respostas agudas do modo de exercício na rigidez arterial

O presente documento surge no âmbito da unidade curricular de estágio inserida no mestrado em Exercício e Saúde da Faculdade de Motricidade realizado na instituição Cooperativa de Ensino A Torre e Ginásio Clube Português, durante um ano letivo. Este relatório reúne o trabalho efetuado ao longo do estágio, descrevendo as diferentes metodologias utilizadas na lecionação de aulas consoante os diferentes espaços e grupos etários, as diferentes tarefas realizadas no GCPLab, nomeadamente as metodologias de avaliação dos vários projetos, os conhecimentos adquiridos, tanto na área da motricidade infantil como da avaliação laboratorial da aptidão física de adultos e os desafios ultrapassados. O contributo dado à instituição consistiu na análise de resultados relativos à avaliação das alterações locais de rigidez arterial e intensidade de onda, medidas através de ultrassonografia, no âmbito do projeto Pumping Arteries no qual se comparou a reativação parassimpática pós-exercício e as alterações locais e regionais de rigidez arterial e intensidade de onda, de 12 jovens adultos avaliados com calorimetria indireta em sessões de 45 minutos de Bike, Pump Power e Global Training. A realização do estágio representou um período de aprendizagem que permitiu aplicar os conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo destes 5 anos, no sentido da aquisição de competências profissionais essenciais para o meu futuro como fisiologista do exercício.This document is part of the curricular unit of the internship included in Exercise and Health master degree of Faculdade de Motricidade Humana held at the Cooperativa de Ensino A Torre and Ginásio Clube Português, during an academic year. This report gathers the work done during the internship, describing the different methodologies used in the teaching of classes depending on the different spaces and age groups, the different tasks performed in GCPLab, namely the evaluation methodologies of the different projects, the knowledge acquired, both in child motricity, as well as, laboratory evaluation of the physical fitness of adults and the challenges overcome. The contribution given to the institution consisted in the analysis of results related to the evaluation of local changes in arterial stiffness and wave intensity, measured through ultrasound, within the scope of the Pumping Arteries project, which compared the post-exercise parasympathetic reactivation and local and regional changes. in arterial stiffness and wave intensity, of 12 young adults evaluated with indirect calorimetry in 45-minute sessions of Bike, Pump Power and Global Training. The completion of the internship represented a period of learning that allowed to apply the knowledge acquired over these 5 years, regarding the acquisition of essential professional skills for my future as an exercise physiologist
