La figura del director de orquesta en Mozart in the jungle: realidad o ficción

Mozart in the Jungle (2014-2018) es una serie de televisión cuya trama se desarrolla en el contexto de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Nueva York dirigida por Rodrigo de Sousa, inspirado en Gustavo Dudamel. Este estudio tiene como objetivo determinar el grado de realidad o ficción de las intervenciones del director de orquesta frente a la orquesta en la pequeña pantalla. Se ha empleado una metodología cualitativa y dos instrumentos para la recogida de datos: una ficha de registro sobre los datos técnicos fílmicos de las escenas donde interviene el director y un cuestionario destinado a directores. Los resultados muestran que en las actitudes del director en la serie existe más ficción que realidad. Entre las similitudes halladas entre las acciones del director de la pequeña pantalla y los participantes de este estudio coinciden en saludar a los músicos al comienzo del ensayo, felicitar, bromear, tararear pasajes o emplear metáforas.Mozart in the Jungle (2014-2018) is a television series whose plot takes place in the context of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rodrigo de Sousa, inspired by Gustavo Dudamel. This study aims to determine the degree of reality or fiction of the interventions of the conductor in front of the orchestra on the small screen. A qualitative methodology and two data collection instruments have been used: a record sheet on the film technical data of the scenes where the director intervenes and a questionnaire for directors. The results show that in the director’s attitudes in the series there is more fiction than reality. Among the similarities found between the actions of the director of the small screen and the participants of this study, they coincide in greeting the musicians at the beginning of the rehearsal, congratulating, joking, humming passages, or using metaphors

References to Works and Composers in Mozart in the Jungle

Mozart has been and is one of the great composers in the history of music. Such has been its relevance that it gives title to a series that, although it does not allude to his life and work, is present as a ghost that dialogues with the main protagonist of the series. The objective of this study is to quantify the references to composers and musical works that are explicitly alluded to throughout the four seasons of the Mozart in the Jungle series. It has been carried out through a musivisual methodology focused on the analysis of oral references of composers and works belonging to classical music. An ad hoc observation protocol for the registration of references has been designed and elaborated. As main results, it stands out that there is a total of 293 references to composers or musical works, being the fourth season where they are most alluded to (129). Mozart along with Beethoven, Bach and Mahler are the most mentioned composers throughout the series. Among the most mentioned compositions we find the works of Mozart, being the Requiem the most mentioned. We conclude that Mozart is not only present in the title of the series, but also in the use of his name and works recurrently throughout the episodes.Mozart ha sido y es uno de los grandes compositores de la Historia de la Música. Tal ha sido su relevancia que pone título a una serie que, aunque no aluda a su vida y obra, está presente como un fantasma que dialoga con el protagonista principal de la serie. El objetivo de este estudio es cuantificar las referencias a compositores y obras musicales a las que se alude de manera explícita a lo largo de las cuatro temporadas de la serie Mozart in theJungle. Se ha llevado a cabo a través de una metodología de carácter musivisual centrada en el análisis de las referencias orales de compositores y obras pertenecientes a la música clásica. Se ha diseñado y elaborado un protocolo de observación ad hoc para el registro de referencias. Como principales resultados se destaca que hay un total de 293 referencias a compositores u obras musicales, siendo la cuarta temporada donde más se aluden a ellas (129). Mozart junto a Beethoven, Bach y Mahler son los compositores más mencionados a lo largo de la serie. Entre las composiciones más aludidas encontramos las obras de Mozart, siendo el Réquiem la más mencionada. Concluimos que Mozart no solo está presente en el título de la serie, sino, en la utilización de su nombre y obras de forma recurrente a través de los episodios

La Educación Musical en los estudios del Grado en Educación Infantil: análisis de las guías docentes de las universidades españolas: The musical education in the early childhood education degree: analysis of the spanish universities teaching guides

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal analizar las Guías Docentes de las asignaturas del área de Educación Musical en los Grados de Educación Infantil que se imparten en las universidades españolas. Es un estudio no experimental, descriptivo y exploratorio de corte cuantitativo. La muestra está formada por Guías Docentes pertenecientes a las asignaturas de Educación Musical del Grado de Educación Infantil (N=96). Como resultados principales, destacamos un alto porcentaje de titularidad de universidades públicas respecto a las privadas. También cabe destacar que la mayoría de las asignaturas de Educación musical se imparten en los cursos más avanzados de la titulación. Concluimos que a la hora de elaborar las Guías Docentes no existe un criterio común para ello ya que, aunque la mayoría contienen los mismos apartados, son muy dispares en su contenido.Resumen: El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal analizar las Guías Docentes de las asignaturas del área de Educación Musical en los Grados de Educación Infantil que se imparten en las universidades españolas. Abstract: The main objective of this study is to analyze the Teaching Guides of the subjects of the Musical Education area in the Degrees of Early Childhood Education that are taught in Spanish universities. A descriptive and exploratory research design was used. The sample is made up of Teaching Guides belonging to the Music Education subjects of the Infant Education Degree (N = 96). As main results, it is necessary to highlight the high percentage of ownership of public universities compared to private ones. It should also be noted that most of the Music Education subjects are taught in the most advanced courses of the degree. It is concluded that when preparing the Teaching Guides there is no common criterion for this since, although most contain the same sections, they are very different in their content. El presente artículo tiene por finalidad destacar la evolución y desarrollo del saxofón en la historia de la música culta japonesa. Se trata de un incipiente estudio que evidencia la falta de bibliografía científica sobre la historia del saxofón en la música culta nipona, en contraposición de los numerosos estudios realizados sobre el saxofón en la música occidental, principalmente en Europa y América. Tras una breve reseña sobre la historia de la música japonesa en general, se centra describir la evolución del saxofón ante la apertura al mundo de la isla a mediados del siglo XIX destacando la figura de Arata Sakaguchi como precursor del saxofón clásico japonés, pasando a analizar la trayectoria del saxofonista japonés Nobuya Sugawa como máximo exponente del saxofón clásico en la actualidad

La musicoterapia como asignatura en los estudios de grado en enfermería

Introduction: Music therapy is understood by the use of music or its elements for therapeutic purposes. Its use in nursing is scarce beyond the use of the NIC 4400 intervention. Objective:The research aims to know and analyze the degree of acceptance by nursing students regarding the possible inclusion of music therapy as a subject in the educational programs of the Nursing Degree studies.Method: A cross-sectional, observational, descriptive study was carried out with a sample of n=346 participants. Conclusion: The results show that 93.93% of the students did include music therapy as an optional subject in Nursing Degree studies, making use of it in their professional future.  Introducción: La musicoterapia se entiende por el uso de la música o sus elementos con fines terapéuticos. Su empleo en la enfermería es escaso más allá del uso de la intervención NIC 4400. Objetivo: Conocer y analizar el grado de aceptación por parte de los estudiantes de enfermería ante la posible inclusión de la musicoterapia como asignatura en los programas educativos de los estudios de Grado en Enfermería. Método: Se ha realizado un estudio observacional descriptivo de corte transversal con una muestra n=346 participantes.Resultados: Los resultados muestran que el 93,93% de los alumnos sí incluirían la musicoterapia como una asignatura Optativa en los estudios de Grado en Enfermería, haciendo uso de ella en su futuro profesional

Energy Estimation of Cosmic Rays with the Engineering Radio Array of the Pierre Auger Observatory

The Auger Engineering Radio Array (AERA) is part of the Pierre Auger Observatory and is used to detect the radio emission of cosmic-ray air showers. These observations are compared to the data of the surface detector stations of the Observatory, which provide well-calibrated information on the cosmic-ray energies and arrival directions. The response of the radio stations in the 30 to 80 MHz regime has been thoroughly calibrated to enable the reconstruction of the incoming electric field. For the latter, the energy deposit per area is determined from the radio pulses at each observer position and is interpolated using a two-dimensional function that takes into account signal asymmetries due to interference between the geomagnetic and charge-excess emission components. The spatial integral over the signal distribution gives a direct measurement of the energy transferred from the primary cosmic ray into radio emission in the AERA frequency range. We measure 15.8 MeV of radiation energy for a 1 EeV air shower arriving perpendicularly to the geomagnetic field. This radiation energy -- corrected for geometrical effects -- is used as a cosmic-ray energy estimator. Performing an absolute energy calibration against the surface-detector information, we observe that this radio-energy estimator scales quadratically with the cosmic-ray energy as expected for coherent emission. We find an energy resolution of the radio reconstruction of 22% for the data set and 17% for a high-quality subset containing only events with at least five radio stations with signal.Comment: Replaced with published version. Measurement of the Radiation Energy in the Radio Signal of Extensive Air Showers as a Universal Estimator of Cosmic-Ray Energy

We measure the energy emitted by extensive air showers in the form of radio emission in the frequency range from 30 to 80 MHz. Exploiting the accurate energy scale of the Pierre Auger Observatory, we obtain a radiation energy of 15.8 \pm 0.7 (stat) \pm 6.7 (sys) MeV for cosmic rays with an energy of 1 EeV arriving perpendicularly to a geomagnetic field of 0.24 G, scaling quadratically with the cosmic-ray energy. A comparison with predictions from state-of-the-art first-principle calculations shows agreement with our measurement. The radiation energy provides direct access to the calorimetric energy in the electromagnetic cascade of extensive air showers. Comparison with our result thus allows the direct calibration of any cosmic-ray radio detector against the well-established energy scale of the Pierre Auger Observatory.Comment: Replaced with published version. Multiple Scenario Generation of Subsurface Models:Consistent Integration of Information from Geophysical and Geological Data throuh Combination of Probabilistic Inverse Problem Theory and Geostatistics

Neutrinos with energies above 1017 eV are detectable with the Surface Detector Array of the Pierre Auger Observatory. The identification is efficiently performed for neutrinos of all flavors interacting in the atmosphere at large zenith angles, as well as for Earth-skimming \u3c4 neutrinos with nearly tangential trajectories relative to the Earth. No neutrino candidates were found in 3c 14.7 years of data taken up to 31 August 2018. This leads to restrictive upper bounds on their flux. The 90% C.L. single-flavor limit to the diffuse flux of ultra-high-energy neutrinos with an E\u3bd-2 spectrum in the energy range 1.0 7 1017 eV -2.5 7 1019 eV is E2 dN\u3bd/dE\u3bd < 4.4 7 10-9 GeV cm-2 s-1 sr-1, placing strong constraints on several models of neutrino production at EeV energies and on the properties of the sources of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays

La musicoterapia como asignatura en los estudios de grado en terapia ocupacional.

Introduction:music therapy and occupational therapy are related disciplines that pursue therapeutic goals or objectives to achieve a patient's physical, emotional, mental and social needs through their respective techniques. The training in these disciplines in Spain is acquired in isolated and unrelated syllabuses, in this sense, this research has the purpose of knowing and analyzing the inclusion of music therapy as a subject in the educational programs of the studies of Degree in Occupational Therapy in Spain. Methods:after a search through the application Qué Estudiar y Dónde en la Universidad of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain, nineteen have been the university centers located where they can study the Degree in Occupational Therapy, later, conducted an analysis of all current teaching plans of the subjects that make up the studies of the Degree in Occupational Therapy to analyze the treatment of music therapy. Conclusion:the results have revealed that music therapy is present in the curricula of six universities, among which, in only two of them, the University of Salamanca and the Autonomous Universityof Madrid-La Salle University Center, music therapy constitutes an optional subject with it’s own identity.Introducción:la musicoterapia y la terapia ocupacional son disciplinas relacionadas entre sí que persiguen objetivos o fines terapéuticos para conseguir satisfacer la necesidades físicas, emocionales, mentales y sociales de un paciente mediante sus respectivas técnicas. La formación en estas disciplinas en España es adquirida en planes de estudios aislados y no relacionados entre sí, en este sentido, esta investigación ha tenido por finalidad conocer y analizar la inclusión de la musicoterapia como asignatura en los programas educativos de los estudios de Grado en Terapia Ocupacional en España.Métodos:tras una búsqueda a través de la aplicación Qué Estudiar y Dónde en la Universidad del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de España, diecinueve han sido los centros universitarios localizados donde se pueden cursar los estudios de Grado en Terapia Ocupacional, posteriormente, se realizó un análisis de todos los plan es docentes actuales de las asignaturas que configuran los estudios del Grado en Terapia Ocupacional para analizar el tratamiento de la musicoterapia.Conclusión:los resultados han revelado que la musicoterapia está presente en los planes de estudios de seis universidades, entre las cuales, tan solo en dos de ellas, la Universidad de Salamanca y la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid-La Salle Centro Universitario, la musicoterapia se constituye como una asignatura con identidad propia de carácter optativ
