Multi-Labeling of Complex, Multi-Behavioral Malware Samples
The use of malware samples is usually required to test cyber security solutions. For that, the correct typology of the samples is of interest to properly estimate the exhibited performance of the tools under evaluation. Although several malware datasets are publicly available at present, most of them are not labeled or, if so, only one class or tag is assigned to each malware sample. We defend that just one label is not enough to represent the usual complex behavior exhibited by most of current malware. With this hypothesis in mind, and based on the varied classification generally provided by automatic detection engines per sample, we introduce here a simple multi-labeling approach to automatically tag the usual multiple behavior of malware samples. In the paper, we first analyze the coherence between the behaviors exhibited by a specific number of well-known malware samples dissected in the literature and the multiple tags provided for them by our labeling proposal. After that, the automatic multi-labeling scheme is executed over four public Android malware datasets, the different results and statistics obtained regarding their composition and representativeness being discussed. We share in a GitHub repository the multi-labeling tool developed, for public usage
Evaluating Enterprise Content Management Tools in a Real Context
Managing documentation in a suitable way has become a critical issue for any organization. Or ganizations depend on the information they store and they are required to have appropriate
mechanisms to support the functional needs of information storage, management and retrieval.
Currently, there are several tools in the market, both free software and proprietary license, nor mally named Enterprise Content Management (ECM) tools, which offer relevant solutions in this
context. This paper presents a comparative study among several of the most commonly used ECM
tools. It starts with a systematic review of the literature to analyze possible solutions and then it
defines a characterization schema instantiated in a particular case, the Regional Government of

A Practical Experience Applying Security Audit Techniques in an Industrial e-Health System Which Uses an Open Source ERP
Healthcare institutions is an ever-innovative field, in which modernization is moving forward taking giant
steps. This modernization, so called “digitization”, brings up some concerns that should be carefully consid ered. Currently, the most sensible concerning in this field is the management of Electronic Health Record and
patients’ data privacy. Health-related data in healthcare systems are under strict regulations, such as the EU’s
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), whose non-compliance imposes huge penalties and fines. Cy bersecurity in healthcare plays an important role at protecting these sensitive data, which are highly valuable
for criminals. Security experts follow already existing security frameworks to orchestrate the security assess ment process, so that the auditing process is as complete and as organized as possible. This study extends the
lifecycle of a security assessment framework and conducts an exploitation and vulnerabilities’ analysis on an
actual industrial scenario. The results of this security audit shows that even if the system is heavily fortified,
there can be still some vulnerabilities.Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades PID2019-105455GB-C31Junta de Andalucía US-125153
Sulfur hydrogen bonding and internal dynamics in the monohydrates of thenyl mercaptan and thenyl alcohol
Producción CientíficaThe monohydrates of thenyl alcohol and thenyl mercaptan have been probed in a supersonic jet expansion using chirped-pulsed and Fabry-Perot Fourier-transform microwave spectroscopy. The rotational spectra revealed a single isomer for each of the dimers. The thenyl alcohol hydrate is stabilized by an O-H···Ow hydrogen bond between the alcohol and water, with water acting as proton acceptor and additionally engaging in a Ow-H···pi interaction with the thenyl ring. Conversely, water behaves as proton donor in the thenyl mercaptan hydrate, linking to the thiol group though a Ow-H···S hydrogen bond and secondary Ow-H··· interactions to the ring. In both dimers water retains internal mobility, as tunneling doublings in the spectrum confirm an internal rotation motion of water inside the cluster. The experimental results have been complemented with density-functional-theory molecular orbital calculations, binding energy decomposition and a topological analysis of the electronic density, providing a
comparative description of the effects of hydrogen bonding of water to the alcohol and thiol groups in the dimers, relevant to understand hydrogen bonding to sulfur centers.MICINN-FEDER (PGC2018-098561- B-C22) and JCyL (grant VA056G18
Chirality-Puckering correlation and intermolecular interactions in Sphingosines: Rotational spectroscopy of jaspine B3 and its monohydrate
Producción CientíficaChirality is determinant for sphingosine biofunctions and pharmacological activity, yet the reasons for the biological chiral selection are not well understood. Here, we characterized the intra- and intermolecular interactions at the headgroup of the cytotoxic anhydrophytosphingosine jaspine B, revealing chirality-dependent correlations between the puckering of the ring core and the formation of amino-alcohol hydrogen bond networks, both in the monomer and the monohydrate. Following the specific synthesis of a shortened 3-carbon side-chain molecule, denoted jaspine B3, six different isomers were observed in a jet expansion using broadband (chirped-pulsed) rotational spectroscopy. Additionally, a single isomer of the jaspine B3 monohydrate was observed, revealing the insertion of water in between the hydroxy and amino groups and the formation of a network of O-H···N-H···Oring hydrogen bonds. The specific jaspine B3 stereochemistry thus creates a double-faced molecule where the exposed lone-pair electrons may easily catalyze the formation of intermolecular aggregates and determine the sphingosine biological properties.
Moving bed syngas conditioning: Modelling
This paper presents a modelling approach for simulating tars and particulate (dust) removal in a moving bed heat exchange filter (MBHEF) in order to satisfy gas requirements of end-use syngas applications: engines and turbines. The two-dimension, adiabatic, steady-state proposed model accounts for two-phase (gas and solid) and neglects conduction and mass diffusion. Tars condensation is modelled through representative tar class lumps: phenol (class 2), naphthalene (class 4), pyrene (class 5). The model also considers tar concentration influence on the tar dew point. The filtration model is taken from literature. A sensitivity analysis is performed varying the particle size and the superficial gas velocity. Maps of temperature and tars abatement efficiency are presented. The simulation results indicate the feasibility of the use a MBHEF as tars removal equipment benefiting its advantages against others gas-cleaning methods with acceptable pollutant removal efficiencies, ranging 88e94% for ranges studied. Results also point out low gas velocities (0.5-1 m/s) and high particle size (400e700 mm) for reducing operational costs in MBHEFs with compact size. The financial support from projects DPI2009-10518 (MICINN)

Solvent-Free Processing of Drug-Loaded Poly(ε-Caprolactone) Scaffolds with Tunable Macroporosity by Combination of Supercritical Foaming and Thermal Porogen Leaching
Demand of scaffolds for hard tissue repair increases due to a higher incidence of fractures related to accidents and bone-diseases that are linked to the ageing of the population. Namely, scaffolds loaded with bioactive agents can facilitate the bone repair by favoring the bone integration and avoiding post-grafting complications. Supercritical (sc-)foaming technology emerges as a unique solvent-free approach for the processing of drug-loadenu7d scaffolds at high incorporation yields. In this work, medicated poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) scaffolds were prepared by sc-foaming coupled with a leaching process to overcome problems of pore size tuning of the sc-foaming technique. The removal of the solid porogen (BA, ammonium bicarbonate) was carried out by a thermal leaching taking place at 37 °C and in the absence of solvents for the first time. Macroporous scaffolds with dual porosity (50–100 µm and 200–400 µm ranges) were obtained and with a porous structure directly dependent on the porogen content used. The processing of ketoprofen-loaded scaffolds using BA porogen resulted in drug loading yields close to 100% and influenced its release profile from the PCL matrix to a relevant clinical scenario. A novel solvent-free strategy has been set to integrate the incorporation of solid porogens in the sc-foaming of medicated scaffoldsThis research was funded by Xunta de Galicia [ED431F 2016/010; ED431C 2020/17], MCIUN [RTI2018-094131-A-I00], Agencia Estatal de Investigación [AEI] and FEDER funds. Study on the socio-economic impact of cancer disease on cancer patients and their relatives
Cancer is one of the most relevant social and health problems in the world. The disease entails additional costs for cancer patients and their families that are not covered by the public part of our welfare state, and which they assume themselves simply because they are ill. The main objective of this study is to identify and analyse the additional cost and socioeconomic impact of cancer disease on patients diagnosed with cancer disease and their families. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional randomised observational epidemiological study without replacement with prevalence of cancer disease in the study base, carried out in the Medical Oncology Service of the Complejo Asistencial Universitario de Salamanca (CAUSA), Spain. Results: The study variable has been the additional cost of the cancer disease for cancer patients and their families that is not covered by our autonomous health system. Conclusions: Cancer disease entails an additional cost for the patient and family; more specifically, for 55% of the patients in the study sample, the diagnosis of cancer represents extra expenditure of between 8.38–9.67% of their annual income. Furthermore, the disability and dependence of patients does not represent an additional cost due to their levels of functionality, but it can have repercussions on the future cost of the evolution of the disease, in addition to the fact of having cancer
