This article is a theoretical essay aims to describe and some research procedures, on the relationship between Social Psychology, Cultural History and the Philosophy of Difference, based on the analysis of documents as methodology and form of resistance. Analyzes some processes of subjectivity; modes of power relations and truth production practices in information retrieval, which enables break crystallization and open tickets to new stories. Therefore, holders are brought from Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, Michel de Certeau, Roger Chartier, Peter Burke and Paul Veyne. The aesthetics of stocks may be made by the ethical ratings in the polls and the political positions established at the work of historical and documentary analysis. Contributions of Social Psychology can be brokered the difference of philosophy, founded on tools of Cultural History and thus allow studies that trigger resistance and creating possible.Esse artigo é um ensaio teórico e visa descrever alguns procedimentos de pesquisa, na articulação entre a Psicologia Social, a História Cultural e a Filosofia da Diferença, a partir da análise de documentos como metodologia e modalidade de resistência. Procedimentos cirúrgicos nas internações em hospitais do Departamento Regional de Saúde de Ribeirão Preto-SP

Estudo descritivo com objetivo de analisar produção física e financeira das internações hospitalares processadas pela Direção Regional de Saúde de Ribeirão Preto (DRS-XIII), nos hospitais conveniados/contratados pelo SUS, na especialidade de clínica cirúrgica, segundo município, no período de 1996-2007. A população de estudo foram Autorizações de Internação Hospitalar (AIH) processadas através do SIH-SUS. Foram processadas 478.241 internações, sendo Ribeirão Preto, responsável por cerca de 70% delas. A cirurgia obstétrica se destacou quanto à produção física, totalizando 49,5% e 24,5%, na região e em Ribeirão Preto, respectivamente. Quanto ao financeiro, nos hospitais da região, maior gasto foi cirurgia obstétrica; nos hospitais de Ribeirão Preto, tal produção foi maior em cirurgia cardiológica. Ribeirão Preto consumiu cerca de 90% dos recursos financeiros. O acompanhamento da produção de internações é fundamental para ordenação do fluxo de usuários, prestação de contas e tratamento equitativo entre municípios, além de disponibilizar elementos que permitem a gestão. Active flexible films for food packaging: a review

Active food packaging is a dynamic area where the scientific community and industry have been trying to find new strategies to produce innovative packaging that is economically viable and compatible with conventional production processes. The materials used to develop active packaging can be organized into scavenging and emitting materials, and based on organic and inorganic materials. However, the incorporation of these materials in polymer-based flexible packaging is not always straightforward. The challenges to be faced are mainly related to active agents’ sensitivity to high temperatures or difficulties in dispersing them in the high viscosity polymer matrix. This review provides an overview of methodologies and processes used in the production of active packaging, particularly for the production of active flexible films at the industrial level. The direct incorporation of active agents in polymer films is presented, focusing on the processing conditions and their effect on the active agent, and final application of the packaging material. Moreover, the incorporation of active agents by coating technologies and supercritical impregnation are presented. Finally, the use of carriers to help the incorporation of active agents and several methodologies is discussed. Interleukin-17 plays a role in dental pulp inflammation mediated by zoledronic acid: a mechanism unrelated to the Th17 immune response?

Objective: To evaluate the influence of RORγT inhibition by digoxin on inflammatory changes related to interleukin-17 (IL-17) in the pulp of rats treated with zoledronate (ZOL). Methodology: Forty male Wistar rats were divided into a negative control group (NCG) treated with saline solution, a positive control group (PCG) treated with ZOL (0.20 mg/kg), and three groups treated with ZOL and co-treated with digoxin 1, 2, or 4 mg/kg (DG1, 2, and 4). After four intravenous administrations of ZOL or saline solution in a 70-day protocol, the right molars were evaluated by histomorphometry (number of blood vessels, blood vessels/µm2, cells/µm2, total blood vessel area, and average blood vessel area) and immunohistochemistry (IL-17, TNF-α, IL-6, and TGF-β). The Kruskal-Wallis/Dunn test was used for statistical analysis. Results: PCG showed an increase in total blood vessel area (p=0.008) and average blood vessel area (p=0.014), and digoxin treatment reversed these changes. DG4 showed a reduction in blood vessels/µm2 (p<0.001). In PCG odontoblasts, there was an increase in IL-17 (p=0.002) and TNF-α (p=0.002) immunostaining, and in DG4, these changes were reversed. Odontoblasts in the digoxin-treated groups also showed an increase in IL-6 immunostaining (p<0.001) and a reduction in TGF-β immunostaining (p=0.002), and all ZOL-treated groups showed an increase in IL-17 (p=0.011) and TNF-α (p=0.017) in non-odontoblasts cells. Conclusion: ZOL induces TNF-α- and IL-17-dependent vasodilation and ectasia, and the classical Th17 response activation pathway does not seem to participate in this process

EFEITOS DO USO PROLONGADO DE LENTES DE CONTATO NA SAÚDE OCULAR

The prolonged use of contact lenses is a common practice among individuals seeking visual correction. While they offer significant benefits, such as improvement in visual quality and aesthetics, the impact of this practice on ocular health is an area of growing concern. Continuous exposure to contact lenses may be associated with a range of adverse effects, ranging from mild discomfort to more serious complications. Given this complexity, an integrative review is necessary to compile and analyze the available scientific evidence on the effects of prolonged contact lens use on ocular health. This study aims to conduct an integrative literature review to assess the effects of prolonged contact lens use on ocular health. The integrative review will be conducted through a systematic search of scientific databases, such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. Studies addressing the effects of prolonged contact lens use on ocular health will be included. The analysis will encompass study designs, samples, evaluation methods, results, and conclusions. The integrative approach will allow for a comprehensive synthesis of available information, identifying knowledge gaps and consolidating relevant findings. At the conclusion of the integrative review, it is expected to provide a clear and updated perspective on the effects of prolonged contact lens use on ocular health. The final considerations will address key findings, highlight areas requiring further investigation, and discuss practical implications for healthcare professionals and contact lens users. Raising awareness about potential risks and appropriate care practices can contribute to promoting safer practices in contact lens use.O uso prolongado de lentes de contato é uma prática comum entre pessoas que buscam correção visual. Embora ofereçam benefícios significativos, como melhoria na qualidade de visão e estética, o impacto dessa prática na saúde ocular é uma área de crescente preocupação. A exposição constante a lentes de contato pode estar associada a uma série de efeitos adversos que variam desde desconforto leve até complicações mais sérias. Diante dessa complexidade, uma revisão integrativa se faz necessária para compilar e analisar as evidências científicas disponíveis sobre os efeitos do uso prolongado de lentes de contato na saúde ocular. Este estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura para avaliar os efeitos do uso prolongado de lentes de contato na saúde ocular. A revisão integrativa será conduzida por meio de uma busca sistemática em bases de dados científicas, como PubMed, Scopus e Web of Science. Serão incluídos estudos que abordam os efeitos do uso prolongado de lentes de contato na saúde ocular. A análise compreenderá desenhos de estudo, amostras, métodos de avaliação, resultados e conclusões. A abordagem integrativa permitirá uma síntese abrangente das informações disponíveis, identificando lacunas no conhecimento e consolidando as descobertas relevantes. Ao término da revisão integrativa, espera-se oferecer uma visão clara e atualizada sobre os efeitos do uso prolongado de lentes de contato na saúde ocular. As considerações finais abordarão as principais descobertas, destacam áreas que necessitam de mais investigação e discutirão implicações práticas para profissionais de saúde e usuários de lentes de contato. A conscientização sobre os potenciais riscos e cuidados adequados pode contribuir para a promoção de práticas mais seguras no uso de lentes de contato

Wild dogs at stake: deforestation threatens the only Amazon endemic canid, the short-eared dog (Atelocynus microtis)

The persistent high deforestation rate and fragmentation of the Amazon forests are the main threats to their biodiversity. To anticipate and mitigate these threats, it is important to understand and predict how species respond to the rapidly changing landscape. The short-eared dog Atelocynus microtis is the only Amazon-endemic canid and one of the most understudied wild dogs worldwide. We investigated short-eared dog habitat associations on two spatial scales. First, we used the largest record database ever compiled for short-eared dogs in combination with species distribution models to map species habitat suitability, estimate its distribution range and predict shifts in species distribution in response to predicted deforestation across the entire Amazon (regional scale). Second, we used systematic camera trap surveys and occupancy models to investigate how forest cover and forest fragmentation affect the space use of this species in the Southern Brazilian Amazon (local scale). Species distribution models suggested that the short-eared dog potentially occurs over an extensive and continuous area, through most of the Amazon region south of the Amazon River. However, approximately 30% of the short-eared dog's current distribution is expected to be lost or suffer sharp declines in habitat suitability by 2027 (within three generations) due to forest loss. This proportion might reach 40% of the species distribution in unprotected areas and exceed 60% in some interfluves (i.e. portions of land separated by large rivers) of the Amazon basin. Our local-scale analysis indicated that the presence of forest positively affected short-eared dog space use, while the density of forest edges had a negative effect. Beyond shedding light on the ecology of the short-eared dog and refining its distribution range, our results stress that forest loss poses a serious threat to the conservation of the species in a short time frame. Hence, we propose a re-assessment of the short-eared dog's current IUCN Red List status (Near Threatened) based on findings presented here. Our study exemplifies how data can be integrated across sources and modelling procedures to improve our knowledge of relatively understudied species

LESÃO DE LIGAMENTO CRUZADO ANTERIOR EM ATLETAS DE FUTEBOL: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Introduction: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture is one of the most prevalent and serious injuries in ball sports, especially in soccer, occurring mainly in non-contact situations. In view of the above, there is a need for a study that seeks to better inform about anterior cruciate ligament surgeries in soccer athletes. Therefore, the aim of this study is to present a solid subject, gathering quality and current articles available in the national and international literature. Materials and methods: This is an integrative literature review. After applying all inclusion and exclusion criteria, a final sample of 6 articles was obtained for the integrative review. Results and discussion: It is said that the incidence of ACL lesions is higher in female athletes when compared to males. Regarding residual laxity in the ACL graft, studies have observed that, in the long term, this problem may worsen the prognosis of patients, increasing the chance of surgical revisions. As for the return of athletes to soccer, it was observed that players who return to the sport have a significantly higher risk of suffering a new knee injury. Conclusion: the articles analyzed suggested that surgical treatment was highly resolutive for ACL injuries.Introducción: La rotura del ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA) es una de las lesiones más frecuentes y graves en los deportes de pelota, principalmente en el fútbol, que se produce principalmente en situaciones en las que no hay contacto. En vista de lo anterior, es necesario un estudio que busque informar mejor sobre las cirugías de rotura del ligamento cruzado anterior en los deportistas de fútbol. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio es presentar un tema sólido, reuniendo artículos de calidad y actuales disponibles en la literatura nacional e internacional. Materiales y métodos: Se trata de una revisión bibliográfica integradora. Tras aplicar todos los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se obtuvo una muestra final de 6 artículos para la revisión integradora. Resultados y discusión: Se dice que la incidencia de las lesiones del LCA es mayor en las mujeres deportistas en comparación con los hombres. En cuanto a la laxitud residual en el injerto del LCA, los estudios han observado que, a largo plazo, este problema puede empeorar el pronóstico de los pacientes, aumentando la posibilidad de revisiones quirúrgicas. En cuanto al regreso de los deportistas al fútbol, se observó que los jugadores que vuelven a practicar este deporte tienen un riesgo significativamente mayor de sufrir una nueva lesión de rodilla. Conclusión: los artículos analizados sugieren que el tratamiento quirúrgico es altamente resolutivo para las lesiones del LCA.Introdução: A ruptura do ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA) é uma das lesões mais prevalentes e graves nos esportes com bola, principalmente no futebol, ocorrendo principalmente em situações em que não há contato. Após aplicação de todos os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, obteve-se uma amostra final de 6 artigos para a revisão integrativa.
