Passagem em Ecologías Emergentes do Dramaturgear (Dramaturgying)

The essay focuses on the work of co-composition that occurs among the movements of a performer with a 50 meter rope within the contexts of creation in two different productions. Through studies of the action of these particular practices in making the pieces for performance, this essay reflects upon the moments felt when not even the idea of a resolution has come through, nor has the coherence of its particular substance arisen to definable terms, but rather when a felt sense of not-knowing is luring the relations of actions to an indefinite effect. Such a particular condition is what I call dramaturgying and the affective time-space of its occurrence is rehearsal. The space of indeterminacy that comes across the mattering produced by the entanglement of forces and relations carried by a practice, can enable the potentiality of a realm of relations in which the emergence of otherwise coherences and sensoriums may be made possible. The piece is developed through work in localized and situated practices in relation to particular materials that enable in the milieus of ecologies the emergence with/of different sensoriums. Each of these practices with materials enable affective co-compositions of time-space, they move through the connections emerging out of the experience in rehearsal, enabling anew potentialities and opening up to otherwise human and other than human relations. Each practice is an experiment in processual dramaturgy that occurs in a milieu in which zones of contact emerge, blurring and stretching the very limits of the limit in the emergence of the dramaturgying. They are experiments to risk bodies onto “the edge.”Este ensayo se propone reflexionar sobre los momentos sentidos a través de la acción de prácticas particulares en el hacer de un performance, cuando ni siquiera se ha manifestado alguna idea de resolución, ni la coherencia de su sustancia particular se ha materializado en términos definibles, sino más bien cuando un sentir sentido de no-conocer atrae las relaciones de la acción a un efecto indefinido. Tal condición particular es lo que llamo Dramaturgear (Dramaturgying) y el espacio tiempo afectivo en el que ocurre es ensayo. El espacio de indeterminación que es atravesado por la materialización producida por el entretejido de fuerzas y relaciones transportadas por una práctica puede activar la potencialidad de un campo de relaciones en el cual la emergencia de otro tipo de coherencias y sensorios puede ser hecha posible. Esta pieza se desarrolla a través de trabajo en prácticas localizadas y situadas en relación a materiales particulares que permiten la emergencia con/de distintos sensorios en el entorno de ecologías. Cada una de estas prácticas con materiales activa co-composiciónes afectivas de tiempo-espacio, que se mueven en el curso de las conexiones emergiendo de la experiencia en el ensayo, permitiendo nuevas potencialidades y la apertura a otro tipo de relaciones humanas y otras que humanas. Cada práctica es un experimento en dramaturgia procesual que ocurre en un entorno en el que emergen zonas de contacto que difuminan y expanden los límites del límite en la emergencia del dramaturgear. Tal condição particular é o que eu chamo Dramaturgear (Dramaturgying) e o espaço de tempo afetivo em que ocorre é um ensaio. espaço indeterminação que é atravessado pela materialização produzida pelo entrelaçamento de forças e relações transportados por um prático pode ativar o potencial de um campo de relações em que o surgimento de outras consistências e sensorial pode ser possível. Deliverable DJRA1.3: Tool prototype for creating and stitching multiple network resources for virtual infrastructures

This document describes the prototype FEDERICA Slice Tool developed for the virtualization of network elements in FEDERICA and for creating and stitching network resources over this virtual infrastructure. An SNMP-based resource discovery prototype is also introduced as a new functionality to be integrated in the tool.The deliverable also presents aviability study for the use of traffic prioritization in the FEDERICA infrastructure and some network performance measurements on a real slice within FEDERICA.This document reports the final results of JRA1.2 Activity in the development of a tool prototype for creating sets ofvirtual resourcesinFEDERICA.The prototype goal is to simplify and automate part of the work for NOC.The tool may also serve,with different privileges, a FEDERICA user to operate on his/her slice. The tool described here was designed with the objective of providing an interactive application with a graphical interface to operate on resources for the NOC and the end users (researchers). The tool simplify the creation and configuration of resources in a slice and it is a mandatory step to ensure scalability of the NOC effort. It offers an interactive Graphical User Interface that translates the users’ actions to commands in the substrate (networknodesandV-nodes)andslice elements(VirtualMachines).User accounts may be created for the NOC and for researchers, each with specific privileges to enable different sets of capabilities. The NOC account has full access to all the resources in the substrate, while each user’account has full access only to the virtual resources in his/her slice. The tool has been developed using the Java programming language as Open Source code and relies on the open source Globus® Toolkit. Testing has been performed in a laboratory environment and on some FEDERICA substrate equipment (1switch, 2VMwareServers) in their standard configuration. Wood mouse feeding effort and decision-making when encountering a restricted unknown food source

Animals making foraging decisions must balance the energy gained, the time invested, and the influence of key environmental factors. In our work, we examined the effect of predation risk cues and experience on feeding efforts when a novel food resource was made available. To achieve this, we live-trapped wood mouse Apodemus sylvaticus in Monte de Valdelatas (Madrid), where 80 Sherman traps were set in four plots. Traps were subjected to two food-access difficulties in treatments consisting of three consecutive nights: open plastic bottles (easy) and closed bottles (difficult), both using corn as bait. To simulate predation risk, we set fox faeces in half of the traps in each plot. We also considered moonlight (medium/low) as an indirect predation risk cue. We analysed whether bottles had been bitten by mice and the gnawed area of each bottle was measured. Our results indicated that food access difficulty, experience, and predation risk determined mice feeding decisions and efforts. The ability of mice to adapt feeding effort when a new food source is available was demonstrated because a higher proportion of closed bottles exhibited bite marks and the gnawed area was bigger. Moreover, mouse experience was determinant in the use of this new resource since recaptured mice gnawed broader orifices in the bottles and the gnawed area increased each time an individual was recaptured. Additionally, direct predation risk cues prompted mice to bite the bottles whereas the effect of different moon phases varied among the food access treatments. This study provides direct evidence of formidable efficacy of wild mice to exploit a new nutrient resource while considering crucial environmental factors that shape the decision-making procedur

Análisis comparativo de las traducciones de un lenguaje inventado: el "nadsat" del papel y el "nadsat" de la pantalla

Treball Final de Grau en Traducció i Interpretació. Codi: TI0983. Curs acadèmic: 2015-2016La práctica del lenguaje inventado es un recurso que aparece frecuentemente en las obras de ficción que, en la mayor parte de las ocasiones, ayuda al autor o autora a proporcionar mayor profundidad a su escrito. Tal es el caso de A Clockwork Orange, de Anthony Burgess, trasladada al cine una década después de su publicación original bajo la dirección de Stanley Kubrick. Este trabajo surge del interés por descubrir las diferencias entre las dos traducciones del lenguaje inventado de esta distopía, el nadsat, que no solo aparecieron con varios años de diferencia, sino también en formatos distintos: el papel y el medio audiovisual. El nadsat es el lenguaje que emplean los jóvenes en esta novela (de hecho, nadsat significa ‘adolescente’), y tiene sus raíces en el ruso y en el inglés. Este hecho en concreto resulta ya extremadamente interesante por sí mismo, ya que propone retos añadidos al traductor debido a que entra en juego un nuevo idioma con el que no tiene por qué estar familiarizado. Además, este falso lenguaje aparece sucintamente en la novela y no fue hasta ediciones posteriores que no se añadió un glosario inglés-nadsat al que los lectores pudieran recurrir en caso de duda. En este trabajo identificaré los métodos de formación de palabras que han empleado los traductores para crear estas dos versiones del «nadsat español» y comparo los aspectos más importantes de las dos traducciones de este argot, ayudándome de un corpus, en el sentido clásico del término, creado ad hoc que incluye la versión original, la traducción al español para la novela y la traducción al español para el doblaje de la película

Transcription, intuition, mediation

El artículo indaga en las relaciones entre transcripción e intuición en el trabajo del arquitecto. La interpretación de Oíza sobre la definición de arquitectura dada por Le Corbusier muestra la mediación como forma evidente de relación entre los términos propuestos. Este mediar se convierte así en la misión principal del arquitecto. La consideración de dos ejemplos de viviendas desarrolladas tempranamente por Le Corbusier muestra esta aproximación como un alegato en defensa del papel del arquitecto. La actualidad de este acercamiento permite transponerlo al análisis de obras contemporáneas, como la Maison à Bordeaux de Rem Koolhaas. La diferente consideración por parte de arquitecto e ingeniero que se muestra en faxes de obra respecto a un detalle de la vivienda permite reflexionar en este sentido.The article explores the relationship between transcription and intuition in the architect’s work. Oiza’s interpretation on Le Corbusier’s definition of architecture shows mediation as obvious form of relationship between the proposed terms. This mediation becomes the primary mission of the architect. Consideration of two early examples of homes developed by Le Corbusier shows this approach as a plea in defense of the role of the architect. The current interest of this approach allows to analyze contemporary works, such as Maison à Bordeaux by Rem Koolhaas. The different consideration given by architect and engineer regarding a detail of the housing, and shown on faxes from work, allows for reflection in this way.Peer Reviewe

El editorialismo en el procés catalán. Estudio de caso de El País y El Periódico en el 1-0 y un año después

Esta investigación analiza en profundidad el contenido y el discurso de los editoriales dedicados al procés catalán de dos medios de comunicación, El País y El Periódico de Cataluña, durante los meses de septiembre y octubre de 2017 y comparándolos con los mismos meses de un año después. Se recurre a la metodología de análisis de contenido y de discurso a través de la elaboración de una ficha de análisis que permitirá conocer si aumenta o disminuye el número de editoriales de un año a otro, cómo es su tipología, cuáles son sus posicionamientos sobre los principales acontecimientos o cuáles son los actores más mencionados. Además, se realiza, de manera complementaria a la metodología principal, un cuestionario a cinco periodistas con preguntas abiertas sobre la temática del estudio. La investigación cuenta con una muestra de 133 unidades de análisis, las cuáles tienen como temática el procés. Los resultados y conclusiones muestran cómo El Periódico dedica un mayor número de editoriales que El País y que en ambos medios el número de editoriales desciende en 2018. Respecto a las posturas defendidas, ambos rechazan la Declaración Unilateral de Independencia (DUI) y el referéndum de autodeterminación; pero, en el caso de El Periódico de Cataluña, se pide la convocatoria electoral para mantener el autogobierno mientras que El País reclama la puesta en marcha del artículo 155 de la Constitución Española para solucionar el conflicto.This research analyses in depth the content and the discourse of the editorials dedicated to Catalan procés of two media, El País and El Periódico de Cataluña, during the months of September and October of 2017 and comparing them with the same months of one year later. The research uses the methodology of the analysis of content and discourse, elaborating an analysis sheet that will allow to know if the number of editorials increases or decreases from one year to another, how their typology is, what their positions on the main events are or who the most mentioned actors are. In addition, a questionnaire to five journalists with open questions on the subject of the study is made in a complementary way to the main methodology. The study has a sample of 133 units of analysis, which have as their main topic the procés. The results and conclusions show how El Periódico devotes a greater number of editorials than El País and that in both media the number of editorials decreases in 2018. Regarding defended positions, both reject the Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI) and the referendum on self-determination; but, in the case of El Periódico de Cataluña, the call for elections is requested to maintain the self-government while that El País demands the implementation of article 155 of the Spanish Constitution to solve the conflict.Grado en Periodism

El estudio de las fracciones continuas con coeficientes en los complejos se asienta en el análisis de las regiones donde la fracción continua converge. Esta teoría de convergencia nos permite definir funciones meromorfas como fracciones continuas a partir de su serie de potencias mediante una sucesión de aproximaciones racionales conocidas como aproximaciones de Padé. Además, se puede establecer una equivalencia entre los números reales y las fracciones continuas simples (un tipo especial de fracciones continuas con coeficientes enteros) y, mediante esta equivalencia, también se pueden estudiar numerosos problemas de teoría de números como la aproximación de números irracionales por aproximaciones racionales o la resolución de la ecuación de Pell, una ecuación diofántica[EN]Continued fractions have played a central role in the development of manu mathematical theories and, even today, they are still a very active line of research. The study of continued fractions with complex coefficients relies o the analysis fo the regions where the continued fraction converges. This convergence theory allows us to define meromorphic functions as continued fractions fron their formal power series with the help of a sequence of rational approximations known as Padé approximants. Furthermore, there is an equivalence between real numbers and simple cotinued fractions (a special case of continued fractions with integer coefficients) and, based on this equivalence, one can study problems of number theory such as how well irrational numbers can be approximated by rational numbers or how to solve Pell's equation, a kind of Diophantine equatio
