    Mercados municipales de Zapopan

    Documento final del Proyecto de Aplicación Profesional en el que se presenta una investigación realizada en tres mercados del ayuntamiento de Zapopan: San Isidro, Francisco Sarabia y Tesistán. El objetivo de la investigación fue identificar las problemáticas, hacer propuestas y colaborar en la planeación de estrategias para mejorar las condiciones de los mercados y lograr un impacto positivo que se vea reflejado en las ventas. Para la investigación, se visitaron los mercados y se aplicaron encuestas a los locatarios, consumidores y administradores. La muestra que se usó para sacar el número de encuestas fue infinita con un nivel de confianza del 90 por ciento y un índice de error del 5 por ciento. En este proyecto trabajaron alumnos de las licenciaturas en Mercadotecnia, Administración de Empresas y Administración Financiera.ITESO, A.C

    The study of the standards of integral reparation measures established by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, regarding the sentences of extraordinary protection action issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, generates a problem that directly harms victims due to violations of Your fundamental rights That is why, the objective of this article is to determine if there is no compliance of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador in the sentences of extraordinary action of protection, with respect to the parameters of integral reparation that the Inter-American Court has established throughout the years through its jurisprudence, understood said reparation, as the ideal means to restore that right that was violated, these parameters to be treated are restitution, compensation, satisfaction, rehabilitation, investigation and sanction, and guarantee of non-repetition.El estudio de los estándares de medidas de reparación integral establecidos por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, respecto de las sentencias de acción extraordinaria de protección emitidas por la Corte Constitucional del Ecuador, genera una problemática que perjudica de forma directa a las víctimas por  vulneraciones de sus derechos fundamentales. Es por ello, que el objetivo de este artículo, es determinar si no existe cumplimiento de la Corte Constitucional del Ecuador en las sentencias de acción extraordinaria de protección, respecto a los parámetros de reparación integral que ha establecido la Corte IDH a lo largo de los años a través de su jurisprudencia, entendida dicha reparación, como el medio idóneo para restablecer aquel derecho que fue vulnerado, estos parámetros a tratar son la restitución, indemnización, satisfacción, rehabilitación, investigación y sanción, y garantía de no repetición

    Synthesis of Silica Particles from Sugarcane Bagasse Ash for Its Application in Hydrophobic Coatings

    : Wastes such as sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) can be used as raw material in ceramics by the elaboration of bricks and tiles and the glass industry, due the high amount of silica in its composition (>70%). Another application for SCBA is the synthesis of metallic silicates. In this work, we study the synthesis of sodium silicate with SCBA as the main raw material and the future application of sodium silicate for the preparation of silica particles in order to create hydrophobic surfaces for ceramic materials to prevent their erosion. The sodium silicate synthesis was carried out by the thermochemical method with batches of ash and sodium carbonate in a 1:1 sodium oxide–silicon oxide molar ratio. The thermal treatment was in an electric furnace at 800 °C for 8 h. Then, for the synthesis of the silica particles, the sodium silicate was dissolved in water, and then we added methanol in a 3:2 water methanol volume ratio. The solution was left to age for an hour to create the Si-OH bond. Finally, tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) was added and the solution was stirred for 2 h to create a hydrophobic and hydrolytically resistant siloxane by the displacement of H in the Si-OH bond. The application of the solution was by the spray-coating method over substrates of concrete and red clay with the application of 10, 15, and 20 layers. The hydrophobicity was evaluated with the water contact angle test, with the results of contact angles above the 110°, thus demonstrating the capacity of a waste for the generation of coatings to prolong the useful life of building materials

    Control of infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae continues to be challenging. The success of this pathogen is favored by its ability to acquire antimicrobial resistance and to spread and persist in both the environment and in humans. The emergence of clinically important clones, such as sequence types 11, 15, 101, and 258, has been reported worldwide. However, the mechanisms promoting the dissemination of such high-risk clones are unknown. Unraveling the factors that play a role in the pathobiology and epidemicity of K. pneumoniae is therefore important for managing infections. To address this issue, we studied a carbapenem-resistant ST-15 K. pneumoniae isolate (Kp3380) that displayed a remarkable adherent phenotype with abundant pilus-like structures. Genome sequencing enabled us to identify a chaperone-usher pili system (Kpi) in Kp3380. Analysis of a large K. pneumoniae population from 32 European countries showed that the Kpi system is associated with the ST-15 clone. Phylogenetic analysis of the operon revealed that Kpi belongs to the little-characterized γ2-fimbrial clade. We demonstrate that Kpi contributes positively to the ability of K. pneumoniae to form biofilms and adhere to different host tissues. Moreover, the in vivo intestinal colonizing capacity of the Kpi-defective mutant was significantly reduced, as was its ability to infect Galleria mellonella The findings provide information about the pathobiology and epidemicity of Kpi+K. pneumoniae and indicate that the presence of Kpi may explain the success of the ST-15 clone.     Analysis of the role of the LH92_11085 gene of a biofilm hyper-producing Acinetobacter baumannii strain on biofilm formation and attachment to eukaryotic cells

    Acinetobacter baumannii is a nosocomial pathogen that has a considerable ability to survive in the hospital environment partly due to its capacity to form biofilms. The first step in the process of establishing an infection is adherence of the bacteria to target cells. Chaperone-usher pili assembly systems are involved in pilus biogenesis pathways that play an important role in adhesion to host cells and tissues as well as medically relevant surfaces. After screening a collection of strains, a biofilm hyper-producing A. baumannii strain (MAR002) was selected to describe potential targets involved in pathogenicity. MAR002 showed a remarkable ability to form biofilm and attach to A549 human alveolar epithelial cells. Analysis of MAR002 using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed a significant presence of pili on the bacterial surface. Putative protein-coding genes involved in pili formation were identified based on the newly sequenced genome of MAR002 strain (JRHB01000001/2 or NZ_JRHB01000001/2). As assessed by qRT-PCR, the gene LH92_11085, belonging to the operon LH92_11070-11085, is overexpressed (ca. 25-fold more) in biofilm-associated cells compared to exponential planktonic cells. In the present work we investigate the role of this gene on the MAR002 biofilm phenotype. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and biofilm assays showed that inactivation of LH92_11085 gene significantly reduced bacterial attachment to A549 cells and biofilm formation on plastic, respectively. TEM analysis of the LH92_11085 mutant showed the absence of long pili formations normally present in the wild-type.
