    La Seguridad como una asignatura indispensable para un Ingeniero del Software

    La seguridad informática ha venido cobrando mayor importancia para las organizaciones dado el marcado crecimiento de las nuevas tecnologías de la información, servicios Web, comercio electrónico, etc. Es por ello que existe la necesidad de contar con nuevos profesionales en este entorno. Para ello, es necesario contar con asignaturas de Seguridad en las escuelas universitarias, que doten al futuro profesional de los conocimientos necesarios para afrontar con éxito las necesidades que el mundo empresarial actual demanda. Así, aprovechando el estado actual de implantación del sistema europeo de créditos, en este artículo se resume una propuesta de grado de informática, y se presenta la asignatura de Seguridad de Sistemas Software, ubicada en el perfil de Ingeniería del Software, definiendo el contenido de dicha asignatura de acuerdo a las directrices del sistema ECTS, y a las necesidades reales que cualquier ingeniero del software puede encontrarse en el mundo empresarial actual.Peer Reviewe

    An RVE-based multiscale theory of solids with micro-scale inertia and body force effects

    A multiscale theory of solids based on the concept of representative volume element (RVE) and accounting for micro-scale inertia and body forces is proposed. A simple extension of the classical Hill–Mandel Principle together with suitable kinematical constraints on the micro-scale displacements provide the variational framework within which the theory is devised. In this context, the micro-scale equilibrium equation and the homogenisation relations among the relevant macro- and micro-scale quantities are rigorously derived by means of straightforward variational arguments. In particular, it is shown that only the fluctuations of micro-scale inertia and body forces about their RVE volume averages may affect the micro-scale equilibrium problem and the resulting homogenised stress.     Optimal extensions of compactness properties for operators on Banach function spaces

    [EN] Compactness type properties for operators acting in Banach function spaces are not always preserved when the operator is extended to a bigger space. Moreover, it is known that there exists a maximal (weakly) compact linear extension of a (weakly) compact operator if and only if its maximal continuous linear extension to its optimal domain is (weakly) compact. We show that the same happens if we consider AM-compactness for the operator, and we give some partial results regarding Dunford-Pettis operators. Narrow operators-considered as a family defined by a weak compactness type property-are also analyzed from this point of view. Finally, we provide some applications of the fact that an operator from a Banach function space extends to a narrow operator if and only if it is narrow. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V.     Damage-driven strain localisation in networks of fibres: A computational homogenisation approach

    In many applications, such as textiles, fibreglass, paper and several kinds of biological fibrous tissues, the main load-bearing constituents at the micro-scale are arranged as a fibre network. In these materials, rupture is usually driven by micro-mechanical failure mechanisms, and strain localisation due to progressive damage evolution in the fibres is the main cause of macro-scale instability. We propose a strain-driven computational homogenisation formulationbased on Representative Volume Element (RVE), within a framework in which micro-scale fibre damage can lead to macro-scale localisation phenomena. The mechanical stiffness considered here for the fibrous structure system is due to: i) an intra-fibre mechanism in which each fibre is axially stretched, and as a result, it can suffer damage; ii) an inter-fibre mechanism in which the stiffness results from the variation of the relative angle between pairs of fibres. The homogenised tangent tensor, which comes from the contribution of these two mechanisms, is required to detect the so-called bifurcation point at the macro-scale, through the spectral analysis of the acoustic tensor. This analysis can precisely determine the instant at which the macro-scale problem becomes ill-posed. At such a point, the spectral analysis provides information about the macro-scale failure pattern (unit normal and crack-opening vectors). Special attention is devoted to present the theoretical fundamentals rigorously in the light of variational formulations for multi-scale models. Also, the impact of a recent derived more general boundary condition for fibre networks is assessed in the context of materials undergoing softening. Numerical examples showing the suitability of the present methodology are also shown and discussed

    Natural gas should meet certain requirements that ensure that their production, transport, distribution and consumption is carried out safely. These requirements correspond to the parameters of gas quality inside which are the calorific value and the hydrocarbon dew point. Correct measurement is of vital importance, especially in the custody transfer points, since who delivered as who receives both are interested in knowing the quality of the gas marketed with a high accuracy. This review gathers different forms of measurement of the gas quality parameters selected, from studies found in the literature both in the determination of its value and its associated uncertainty. However, while the works related to the estimation of uncertainty of the calorific value and the hydrocarbon dew point are limited, this review represents a breakthrough in the path of research applied in the proper determination of these parameters and results with greater metrology reliability of chemical quantities of natural gas.Gás natural deve atender a certos requisitos que garantem que sua produção, transporte, distribuição e consumo é realizado de forma segura. Essas exigências correspondem aos parâmetros do gás de qualidade no interior dos quais são o poder calorífico e o ponto de orvalho de hidrocarbonetos. Correta de medição é de vital importância, especialmente em pontos de transferência de custódia, desde que entregue como quem recebe ambos estão interessados em saber a qualidade do gás comercializado com uma alta precisão. Esta revisão reúne diferentes formas de medição dos parâmetros de qualidade de gás selecionado, de estudos encontrados na literatura tanto na determinação do seu valor e a incerteza associada.     The Köthe Dual of an Abstract Banach Lattice

    We analyze a suitable definition of Kothe dual for spaces of integrable functions with respect to vector measures defined on delta-rings. This family represents a broad class of Banach lattices, and nowadays it seems to be the biggest class of spaces supported by integral structures, that is, the largest class in which an integral representation of some elements of the dual makes sense. In order to check the appropriateness of our definition, we analyze how far the coincidence of the Kothe dual with the topological dual is preserved.M. A.     Acoustic noise-based detection of ferroresonance events in isolated neutral power systems with inductive voltage transformers

    Power-quality events and operation transients in power systems (PS) with isolated neutral can saturate inductive voltage transformers (IVT), which, when interacting with the overhead and underground cable capacitances, can cause ferroresonance events in the local PS. This abnormal operating mode can partially or totally damage the transformers and switchgears within the affected PS. Distribution system operators (DSO) can minimize these effects by detecting ferroresonance events accurately and fast enough and changing the mode of operation accordingly. Direct detection methods, i.e., based on voltage measurements, are reliable, but the massive deployment of this solution is relatively expensive; i.e., power quality analyzers cost thousands of USD. Alternatively, indirect detection methods are also available, e.g., IVT vibration measurements with accelerometers costing hundreds of USD, but their reliability depends on the installation method used. This manuscript proposes using the acoustic noise caused by magnetostriction forces within the IVT core during ferroresonance events to detect their occurrence. Compared to other indirect methods, electret condenser microphones with preamplifying stage cost less than USD 10 and are less sensitive to the installation procedure.     Regular methods of summability and the weak sigma-Fatou property in abstract Banach lattices of integrable functions

Under some mild assumptions, it can be identi¿ed with a Banach ideal of integrable functions with respect to a (non necessarily ¿-¿nite) vector measure on a ¿-ring.
