Modelo de negocio para la viabilidad de una empresa de producción y comercialización de biodiésel a partir de la microalga Chlorella en Colombia

Identificando la situación actual del biodiésel en el contexto nacional e internacional, se pretende evaluar mediante un modelo de negocio verde la viabilidad de crear una empresa de producción y comercialización de biodiésel a partir de la microalga Chlorella en Colombia. Por medio de matrices de decisión de alternativas y validando algunos procesos a nivel experimental, se analizaron y eligieron las características técnicas/operativas requeridas para el proceso de producción. Se desarrollaron estudios de mercado de intencionalidad exploratorio, organizacional y financiero, proyectando a GreenFuels & Consultores Colombia como una empresa que producirá y comercializará biodiésel a partir de Chlorella, para atender las distribuidoras mayoristas, que requieren mezclas diésel-biodiésel de calidad y cumplir con sus metas de producción, aumentando paralelamente sus externalidades positivas al ambiente y la sociedad. Por lo tanto, GreenFuels & Consultores Colombia como modelo de negocio verde, es un proyecto viable en términos técnicos, validado en el mercado, con una propuesta de valor clara e innovadora y financieramente rentable

Evaluation of the efficacy of novaluron 0.2 % GR for the control of Aedes (Stegomyia) aegypti (Diptera).

Aedes (Stegomyia) aegypti is the main vector of dengue, zika and chikungunya in the Americas. These diseases have a significant impact on public health. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), controlling these diseases requires a comprehensive approach, and the control of larvae is a part of that strategy. Insect growth regulator (IGR) insecticides stand out as an efficient alternative for facilitating the control of Ae. aegypti at immature stages. The main goal was to evaluate the effectiveness of IGR novaluron 0.2 % GR, in the 50, 90, 95 and 99 lethal concentrations (LC) for fourth-instar larvae of Ae. aegypti in the laboratory. In field conditions, the percentage of inhibition of emergence was estimated by using the LC levels obtained in the laboratory through two methods of water management with refill and without refill in 40 L recipients. The study was carried out in 30 homes in a neighborhood with a high incidence of dengue in Medellin (Antioquia, Colombia). The bioassays completed indicated that LC 50, 90, 95 and 99 corresponded to 0.019, 0.055, 0.065 and 0.084 mg/L, respectively. The field results indicated that novaluron 0.2 % GR efficiently inhibited the emergence of adult Ae. aegypti, suggesting that the product has potential as a population regulator at very low concentrations. The product is considered extremely useful for programs to prevent and control dengue, zika and chikungunya

A proposal for "Supply Chain Management and Logistics" is presented to the company Riopaila Castilla S.A., it is necessary to deepen issues such as the management of flows in the supply chain that the company has adopted and the results obtained, as well as the management of their inventories, the supply of raw materials and the distribution of the finished product. With the knowledge of the strategies and methodologies implemented inside and outside the company, to carry out all its logistics stages, we can propose improvements in the layout, in inventory management and the selection of suppliers that allow the company business growth and market positioning, this diploma chapter presents each link in the supply chain and the strategies implemented by the company, always seeking collaboration in the continuous improvement of the logistics processes necessary for the proper flow of the supply chain.Para permitirnos presentar una propuesta de “Supply Chain Management y Logística”, a la empresa Riopaila Castilla S.A., es necesario la profundización en temas como el manejo de los flujos en la cadena de suministro que la empresa ha adoptado y los resultados obtenidos, así como el manejo de sus inventarios, el suministro de materias primas y la distribución del producto terminado. La revocatoria del mandato en Colombia : cambios en su procedimiento 1996 – 2014

El trabajo de investigación analizó el procedimiento de la revocatoria del mandato en Colombia, desde su reglamentación en 1994, hasta los últimos pronunciamientos judiciales y administrativos producidos en el caso de la revocatoria del mandato del Alcalde Mayor de Bogotá para el periodo 2012-2015, (Gustavo Petro Urrego), cuyo proceso tardó más de 17 meses, sin que fuera posible la realización de la jornada electoral para decidir el mecanismo. Este caso en concreto, fue fuente especial de estudio, pues en la historia de este tipo de mecanismos, no se había presentado una batalla jurídica de tal magnitud para impedir la convocatoria de un mecanismo de participación ciudadana.The investigation analyzed the procedure for the revocation of the mandate in Colombia, from its regulation in 1994, to the last judicial and administrative pronouncements produced in the case of the revocation of the mandate of the Mayor of Bogotá for the period 2012-2015, ( Gustavo Petro Urrego), whose process took more than 17 months, without it being possible to conduct the election day to decide the mechanism. Clonal chromosomal mosaicism and loss of chromosome Y in elderly men increase vulnerability for SARS-CoV-2

The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19) had an estimated overall case fatality ratio of 1.38% (pre-vaccination), being 53% higher in males and increasing exponentially with age. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, we found 133 cases (1.42%) with detectable clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations (mCA) and 226 males (5.08%) with acquired loss of chromosome Y (LOY). Individuals with clonal mosaic events (mCA and/or LOY) showed a 54% increase in the risk of COVID-19 lethality. LOY is associated with transcriptomic biomarkers of immune dysfunction, pro-coagulation activity and cardiovascular risk. Interferon-induced genes involved in the initial immune response to SARS-CoV-2 are also down-regulated in LOY. Thus, mCA and LOY underlie at least part of the sex-biased severity and mortality of COVID-19 in aging patients. Given its potential therapeutic and prognostic relevance, evaluation of clonal mosaicism should be implemented as biomarker of COVID-19 severity in elderly people. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, individuals with clonal mosaic events (clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations and/or loss of chromosome Y) showed an increased risk of COVID-19 lethality
