WORK PROCESS ANALYSIS AND JOB SYSTEMIZATION IN COMPANY DIMNIKARSTVO DOVRTEL, D.O.O.
Chimney sweep services in recent years have undergone constant external influences, which are a product of technological advances in heating, environmental, political changes in the country, the social conditions of the population, changes in education and the lack of publicity in the media. All companies that wish to continue with this activity should adjust to these changes accordingly. In addition to these changes, due to an increasing volume of work, Dimnikarstvo Dovrtel, d.o.o. also had to carry out an expansion of the company and additional employment. This affects the previous organization of business and creates jobs.
For these reasons, the company decided to rebuild the organizational structure, redefine work processes and jobs and to make job analysis. This will support the employees in evaluating their work and career development as well as undertaking a comprehensive organizational and managerial tools. It will also facilitate the work of all employees and transparent working processes operating within the company that need to de standardized. They will take them as an internal document and copy them later in a simpler form - they will need to draw brochures, which will cover the requirements and instructions for each job. This will eliminate the potential dilemmas from the past and explain the news to the employees. Presenting a scope of work to new employees will be much easier.
Diploma thesis was conducted through process analysis, which was founded for a new determination of the requirements and job analysis. We also drew up an assessment scale for all employees in the company, which was used to determine their actual competence and compared them with the required. On this basis it is possible to assess their current knowledge of the job (tasks, duties, responsibilities) and their work efficiency
Benchmark analysis of forecasted seasonal temperature over different climatic areas
From a long-term perspective, an improvement of seasonal forecasting, which is often exclusively based on climatology, could provide a new capability for the management of energy resources in a time scale of just a few months. This paper regards a benchmark analysis in relation to long-term temperature forecasts over Italy in the year 2010, comparing the eni-kassandra meteo forecast (e-kmf®) model, the Climate Forecast System–National Centers for Environmental Prediction (CFS-NCEP) model, and the climatological reference (based on 25-year data) with observations. Statistical indexes are used to understand the reliability of the prediction of 2-m monthly air temperatures with a perspective of 12 weeks ahead. The results show how the best performance is achieved by the e-kmf® system which improves the reliability for long-term forecasts compared to climatology and the CFS-NCEP model. By using the reliable high-performance forecast system, it is possible to optimize the natural gas portfolio and management operations, thereby obtaining a competitive advantage in the European energy market
