    Coatings in Photovoltaic Solar Energy Worldwide Research

    This paper describes the characteristics of contributions that were made by researchers worldwide in the field of Solar Coating in the period 1957–2019. Scopus is used as a database and the results are processed while using bibliometric and analytical techniques. All of the documents registered in Scopus, a total of 6440 documents, have been analyzed and distributed according to thematic subcategories. Publications are analyzed from the type of publication, field of use, language, subcategory, type of newspaper, and the frequency of the keyword perspectives. English (96.8%) is the language that is most used for publications, followed by Chinese (2.6%), and the rest of the languages have a less than < 1% representation. Publications are studied by authors, affiliations, countries of origin of the authors, and H-index, which it stands out that the authors of China contribute with 3345 researchers, closely followed by the United States with 2634 and Germany with 1156. The Asian continent contributes the most, with 65% of the top 20 affiliations, and Taiwan having the most authors publishing in this subject, closely followed by Switzerland. It can be stated that research in this area is still evolving with a great international scientific contribution in improving the efficiency of solar cells

    ED-XRF analysis of the mediaeval copper-based door in Monte Sant'Angelo (Southern Italy)

    AbstractThis work regards the analysis of a copper-based door (dated 1076 AD) located at the entrance to the sanctuary of Monte Sant'Angelo (Southern Italy) by using a non-destructive technique and in situ chemical analysis. The door does not show serious corrosive phenomena and presents several types of decorative elements such as two inlays (of silver and copper colour) and three engravings (of red, black and green colour). A portable energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (ED-XRF) spectrometer was used in order to evaluate the chemical composition of the door and of the decorations that adorn the artefact. No sampling or sample preparation was required before the measurements. Preliminary analysis on the materials that make up the door revealed that the panels and the frame of the two sashes are made of the same alloy, while the nails and the handles have a different composition.     The electrochemistry of gold in acid aqueous solutions containing chloride ions

    Results obtained with differently prepared gold electrodes in acid solutions containing chloride ion at temperatures ranging from 22 to 65°C are reported. Potentiostatic techniques and rotating disc electrodes were employed. The anodic dissolution, the onset of passivity and the cathodic deposition of the metal are investigated under different experimental conditions. The anodic dissolution of Au is discussed in terms of possible reaction mechanisms involving the participation of different adsorbed species. The onset of passivation is related to the depletion of chloride ion at the reaction interface. The experimental voltammograms can be reporduced by means of an equation which considers the diffusion of chloride ion, the activation polarization related to the dissolution of Au and the establishment of passivity.Instituto de Investigaciones Fisicoquímicas Teóricas y AplicadasFacultad de Ciencias Exacta

The property claims management as a mechanism to improve the quality of healthcare Objective. To analyze the (medical malpractice) claims from patients of the Regional Health Care Service of Castilla-La Mancha (part of the Spanish National Health Care System) suffering from health care induced injures, in order to assess if they contain enough information to develop a risk map. This map could be useful tool to alert about risk elements for patients attended by health care services. Methods. 1310 (medical malpractice) claims records were studied, filed by the citizens of Castilla-La Mancha Region between 2004 and 2009. These claims have been resolved by the Health Care Service (Administration). The claims were classifi ed by cause, geographical location of the patient, health care level, administrative dependence of the health care centre, and status of the attending health professional. Results. Risk selection criteria were developed for different levels of health care. These criteria considered the repetition of adverse events capable of causing harm, the reiteration of mistakes in a given process, and the impact of the injuries produced, provided that the end result of negligence and mistakes was the patient’s death. Conclusions. Spanish health care system allows to design and implement a new information system. This system contains enough qualitative, organizational and functional data of the health service to develop a risk map of errors or circumstances leading to avoidable injuries to the citizens, thus becoming yet another tool for health care quality improvement.Rezumat. Managementul reclamaţiilor patrimoniale ca element pentru îmbunătăţirea calităţii asistenţei sanitare. Au fost analizate plângerile (malpraxis medical) pacienţilor care au utilizat Serviciul Regional de Sănătate din Castilla-La Mancha şi care au suferit leziuni induse de îngrijirile de sănătate, cu scopul de a evalua dacă acestea conţin suficiente informaţii pentru a dezvolta o hartă a riscului, utilă pentru alerta privind elementele de risc pentru pacienţii care au benefi ciat de servicii de sănătate. Au fost studiate 1.310 plângeri înregistrate, depuse de către cetăţenii din Regiunea Castilla-La Mancha în perioada 2004-2009, rezolvate de Serviciul de Sănătate (Administraţie) şi clasifi cate în funcţie de cauză, zona geografi că a pacientului, de nivelul de îngrijire a sănătăţii, de apartenenţa administrativă a centrului de îngrijire a sănătăţii, precum şi de statutul profesionistului care a acordat asistenţa. Criteriile de selecţie a riscurilor au fost dezvoltate pentru diferite niveluri de îngrijire a sănătăţii. Aceste criterii au luat în consideraţie repetarea evenimentelor adverse care pot provoca daune, repetarea greşelilor într-un anumit proces, precum şi impactul leziunilor produse, atunci când rezultatul final al neglijenţei sau greşelii a fost moartea pacientului. Sistemul de sănătate spaniol a proiectat şi a implementat un nou sistem de informaţii. Acest sistem conţine sufi ciente date calitative, organizatorice şi funcţionale privind serviciile de sănătate, pentru a dezvolta o hartă a riscului de erori sau circumstanţe care duc la evenimente adverse evitabile pentru cetăţeni, devenind astfel un instrument complementar pentru îmbunătăţirea calităţii îngrijirilor de sănătate

    XRD analysis of patinas on the monument dedicated to Saint Oronzo, Lecce

    The monument dedicated to Saint Oronzo is placed in the homonymous square in the city centre of Lecce (Southern Italy). This monument consists of an internal wooden structure that is completely covered with copper sheets, lying on a concrete base about 1.5 meters high, which is placed on a Roman column about 29 meters high. The restoration of this manufact started in June 2018 and, first of all, non-destructive analyses are planned as proposed in the time-schedule. In this paper, we show the results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of the patinas both of the statue and of the column in order to evaluate their composition

    Comet 22P/Kopff: Dust environment and grain ejection anisotropy from visible and infrared observations

    We present optical observations and Monte Carlo models of the dust coma, tail, and trail structures of comet 22P/Kopff during the 2002 and 2009 apparitions. Dust loss rates, ejection velocities, and power-law size distribution functions are derived as functions of the heliocentric distance using pre- and post-perihelion imaging observations during both apparitions. The 2009 post-perihelion images can be accurately fitted by an isotropic ejection model. On the other hand, strong dust ejection anisotropies are required to fit the near-coma regions at large heliocentric distances (both inbound at rhr_h=2.5 AU and outbound at rhr_h=2.6 AU) for the 2002 apparition. These asymmetries are compatible with a scenario where dust ejection is mostly seasonally-driven, coming mainly from regions near subsolar latitudes at far heliocentric distances inbound and outbound. At intermediate to near-perihelion heliocentric distances, the outgassing would affect much more extended latitude regions, the emission becoming almost isotropic near perihelion. We derived a maximum dust production rate of 260 kg s1^{-1} at perihelion, and an averaged production rate over one orbit of 40 kg s1^{-1}. An enhanced emission rate, accompanied also by a large ejection velocity, is predicted at rh>r_h>2.5 pre-perihelion. The model has also been extended to the thermal infrared in order to be applied to available trail observations with IRAS and ISO spacecrafts of this comet. The modeled trail intensities are in good agreement with those observations, which is remarkable taking into account that those data are sensitive to dust ejection patterns corresponding to several orbits before the 2002 and 2009 apparitions.Comment: Accepted by The Astrophysical Journa

    Efectos de las condiciones socioeconómicas sobre la pobreza en Cereté

    The purpose of this research is to determine the explanatory factors of monetary poverty in the Municipality of Cereté in the year 2015 through the estimation of a probabilistic Probit model, using information collected through a survey, similar to that of quality of life used by the DANE, applied to 250 households in that territory at the end of the year 2015. For the corresponding regression analysis, the dependent variable poor household is taken, which in the case of this work is a dichotomous one, and the socioeconomic and head of household characteristics are taken as independent variables. The results prove that the greatest probabilities of a household being in a condition of poverty are those with a high number of members and where the head of the household has a low level of education. Likewise, the risk of poverty increases for rural households in relation to those located in the municipal capital, as well as for heads of household who work on their own account and motorcycle taxi drivers. It is therefore recommended that policies be implemented to expand the coverage of higher education, encourage formal work and moderate the size of the household.La presente investigación tiene por objeto determinar los factores explicativos de la pobreza monetaria en el Municipio de Cereté en el año 2015 a través de la estimación de un modelo probabilístico Probit, utilizando información recabada mediante una encuesta, similar a la de calidad de vida utilizada por el DANE, aplicada a 250 hogares en ese territorio a finales del año 2015. Para el análisis de regresión correspondiente se toma como variable dependiente hogar pobre, que para el caso de este trabajo es dicótoma, y como variables independientes las características socioeconómicas y del jefe del hogar. Los resultados comprueban que las mayores probabilidades de que un hogar se encuentre en condición de pobreza, la tienen aquellos con altos números de miembros integrantes y en donde el jefe del hogar cuenta con un bajo nivel educativo. Igualmente, el riesgo de pobreza aumenta para los hogares rurales con relación a los ubicados en la cabecera municipal; así como para los jefes de hogar que laboran por cuenta propia y los mototaxistas. Se recomienda por tanto aplicar políticas encaminadas a ampliar la cobertura de educación superior, fomentar el trabajo formal y moderar el tamaño del hogar. &nbsp

    Iris - Mensajería instantánea para personas con ceguera en dispositivos móviles con pantalla táctil

    En años recientes, el uso de tabletas y teléfonos o dispositivos inteligentes ha incrementado continuamente gracias a la facilidad y disponibilidad de acceso a la información, entretenimiento y comunicación que ofrecen con su creciente variedad de aplicativos y especialmente su acceso a internet. A diferencia de computadoras o notebooks, estos dispositivos tienen tecnologías para mejorar la usabilidad para personas con dificultades visuales que también pueden ser utilizadas para crear nuevos aplicativos de asistencia sin la necesidad de aparatos externos. Esto genera oportunidades para un desarrollo inclusivo que mantiene la misma portabilidad. Sin embargo, estos dispositivos principalmente usan una pantalla táctil y aún entre sus tecnologías incorporadas, no tienen medios para ingresar datos que sean permitan que personas con ceguera ingresen información por otros medios que no sean su voz o un complejo teclado QWERTY. En este artículo, proponemos el uso de una solución adaptativa que permite al usuario usar la misma pantalla táctil como una alternativa para ingresar datos al simular un teclado Braille y demostramos su uso, además de tecnologías de lector de texto, con una aplicación que permite que una persona ciega chatee mediante mensajes instantáneos.In recent years, the use of tablets and smartphones (smart devices) has experienced a continuous increase thanks to the ease of ubiquitous access to information, entertainment and communication they offer with their growing variety of applications and, especially, their access to internet. Unlike computers or laptops, these tools have usability-oriented technologies for people with vision impairments that can also be used to build new assistive applications without the need for external gadgets. This offers opportunities for inclusive development maintaining the same portability. However, these devices mainly use just a touchscreen and, even among its inbuilt technologies, they do not have any means of accessible and adequate input that enable the blind to enter information by means other than their voice or the complicated QWERTY keyboard. In this paper we propose the use of an adaptive solution that allows the user to employ the same touchscreen as an alternate input by simulating a Braille keyboard and we demonstrate its use, along with screen reader and text-to-speech technologies, with an application that allows a blind person to chat through instant messaging
