Flexible forms of employment Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to map the flexible forms of employment currently offered by the Czech legislation as well as those that might possibly become part of the legal system in the Czech Republic. Flexible forms of employment are currently on the rise, and it is therefore relevant to address the possibilities offered by the legislation. Part one focuses on defining the basic terms of the legal and theoretical framework of flexible forms of employment and in this context also the importance of flexicurity as a concept that has shaped the forms of flexible employment in the recent years. Second part of the thesis describes the specific forms of employment in terms of their legal regulation and what challenges are associated with the use of each individual form of flexible employment, furthermore this part explores aspects of flexibility that can be found within these types flexible employment. Examples of such flexible forms of employment mentioned include, but are not limited to, fixed-term employment, homeworking and, in terms of working hours, a condensed working week and flexible working hours. The next part discusses new emerging forms of flexible employment, namely job sharing, employee sharing, interim management, casual work, as well as new forms of...Flexibilní formy zaměstnávání Abstrakt Ve své práci se zabývám flexibilními formami zaměstnávání, které v současné době česká právní úprava nabízí a těmi, které se teprve mohou stát součástí právního řádu v České republice. Flexibilní možnosti úpravy forem zaměstnávání jsou v současné době na vzestupu, a proto je aktuální se zabývat možnostmi, které právní úprava nabízí. V první části práce se zaměřuji na definování základních pojmů právního a teoretického rámce flexibilních forem zaměstnávání a zmiňuji v této souvislosti význam flexicurity, jakožto konceptu, který formuje podobu flexibilního zaměstnávání v posledních letech. V další části této práce se již zaměřuji na popis jednotlivých forem zaměstnávání a to z hlediska jejich právní úpravy, způsobu, jakým je lze využít a také jaké výzvy jsou spojeny s využíváním jednotlivých forem zaměstnávání a také v jakých aspektech lze spatřovat projevy flexibility v těchto druzích flexibilního zaměstnávání. Jedná se mimo jiné o pracovní poměr na dobu určitou, distanční výkon práce a z pohledu pracovní doby také zhuštěný pracovní týden a pružnou pracovní dobu. Ceny potravin ve vysoké frekvenci: evidence z České republiky

With increasing engagement in on-line shopping accelerated by the events of 2020, what can we learn about prices and their rigidity in the on-line sector? We collect an extensive dataset of scraped daily prices for four on-line grocery retailers from the Czech Republic from January 2020 to April 2021. We find substantial di erences in pricing among the retailers, including the impact of interest rate changes and the introduction of lockdowns on the probability of price change. Price rigidity depends significantly on the retailer and the assumptions imposed on temporary price changes. The mean number of all price changes among retailers ranges between 3.10 and almost 11 per year. Depending on the definition of excluded temporary price changes, retailers change prices permanently on average between 0.68 to 4.04 times per year. We show that a more in-depth analysis of temporary price changes is crucial for a robust assessment of price rigidity. Small Molecules as Immune Modulators in Anticancer Therapy

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to summarize knowledge about several selected therapeutic targets used for cancer immunotherapy and small molecules that can have an immunomodulatory effect on these targets. This is a relatively new and attractive topic in the field of biomedical sciences, which is constantly evolving. Some small molecules have already been approved for treatment of specific cancer diseases, and many more are currently undergoing various stages of clinical trials. This work should provide the reader with an overview of possible approaches to modulate the immune system using small molecules. Vocabulary layers in musical discourse

The use of specialist discourse in a variety of disciplines has become a central issue of linguistic research. However, even though the world of music has adopted English as a predominant means of communication among musicians, its specifi c language has remained on the periphery of interest of discourse analysts. As a result, little is known about the genres specifi c to the domain of music and their language. This paper concentrates on the genre of musical discourse promoting a musical performance, namely the concert notice; it defi nes this genre from the perspective of text type and describes its lexical aspect, focusing on different stylistic layers. The aim of the study is to show that there is a correlation between the communicative purposes of the concert notice and the vocabulary layers employed in the genre

Innovation of Marketing Mix for Mixit Company

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu nástrojů marketingového mixu vybrané obchodní společnosti. Člení se do dvou částí. Teoretická část bakalářské práce je věnována literární rešerši, v rámci které jsou vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se marketingu a marketingového mixu. Podrobně je zde rozebrán produkt, cena, distribuce a propagace. V praktické části bakalářské práce je stručně představena společnost Mixit, s.r.o.. Následně jsou analyzovány jednotlivé nástroje marketingového mixu společnosti. Na základě této analýzy jsou navržena případná doporučení.Bachelor thesis focuses on analysis of marketing mix tools of selected business company. It is divided into two parts. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to literature research, which defines the basic concepts of marketing and marketing mix. The product, price, distribution and promotion is detailed here. In the practical part of the bachelor's thesis, the company Mixit, s.r.o. is introduced. Subsequently, the individual tools of the marketing mix of the company are analyzed. Based on this analysis, possible recommendations are suggested

Key Components of Musical Discourse Analysis

Musical discourse analysis is an interdisciplinary study which is incomplete without consideration of relevant social, linguistic, psychological, visual, gestural, ritual, technical, historical and musicological aspects. In the framework of Critical Discourse Analysis, musical discourse can be interpreted as social practice: it refers to specific means of representing specific aspects of the social (musical) sphere. The article introduces a general view of contemporary musical discourse, and analyses genres from the point of ‘semiosis’, ‘social agents’, ‘social relations’, ‘social context’, and ‘text’. These components of musical discourse analysis, in their various aspects and combinations, should help thoroughly examine the context of contemporary musical art, and determine linguistic features specific to different genres of musical discourse

Analysis of the Czechoslovak Economy during the period of Rozsypal´s reform

This thesis aims to analyse the economic development of Czechoslovakia in the period of end of the 50s and begginig of the 60s of 20th Centruy. The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the causes of the failure of the Rozsypal reform, especially economically-theoretical. The theoretical part of the the thesis introduces the political and economical context of Czechoslovak development. The theoretical part of the thesis also decribes the main components of the Rozsypal reform and evaluation of its application to the economy. The analytical part of the thesis analyzes the development of Czechoslovak economy during the second and the third five-year plans, especially with regard to foreign trade. The last part of the analytical part of the thesis evaluates the external and internal causes of failure of the Rozsypal reform and the collapse of the thrid five-year plan. In a conclusion the main findings are summarized, including the finding such as unrealistic long- term planning, unsatisfactory implementation of the reform, problems in foreign trade both caused both internally and externally and the overall impact of the nature of centrally planned economy.Tato práce má za cíl analyzovat hospodářský vývoj Československa v období konce 50. a počátku 60. let 20. století. Hlavním cílem práce je analýza příčin neúspěchu Rozsypalovy reformy, zejména ekonomicko-teoretickými. Teoretická část práce se věnuje popisu kontextu poltického a hospodářského vývoje ve světě a v Československu před zavedením reformy. V teoretické části práce jsou rovněž definovány základní body Rozsypalovy reformy a hodnocení jejich aplikace v ekonomice. V praktické části práce je analyzován vývoj československé ekonomiky v průběhu druhého a třetího pětiletého plánu s ohledem zejména na zahraniční obchod. V praktické části jsou vyhodnoceny vnitřní i vnější příčiny neúspěchu Rozsypalovy reformy a kolapsu třetího pětiletého plánu s ohledem na Rozsypalovu reformu. V závěru jsou shrnuta zásadní zjištění o příčinách neúspěchu reformy, mezi které patří nerealistické dlouhodobé plánování, neuspokojivé zavádění reformy, problémy v zahraničním obchodě jak z vnitřních tak vnějších příčin či vliv podstaty centrálně plánované ekonomiky

Determinants of Life Satisfaction in the Czech Republic and their Development over Time

This work examines the reported life satisfaction in the Czech Republic over the period between 1991 and 2016. The relationships between various individual characteristics and reported life satisfaction are analysed using the ordinary least squares and the results are compared across time. This work extends the existing literature not only by providing a more up-to-date analysis of the correlates of life satisfaction in the Czech Republic but also by analysing them in a wider time horizon. Some relationships were found rather stable over the considered period (for example, those associated with health, satisfaction with institutions or with political beliefs). Even though higher education and higher income were not strictly associated with higher satisfaction, the differences in satisfaction of individuals belonging to the lower and upper deciles of income are significant throughout the whole period. On the other hand, some associations have changed substantially over time (e.g. those related to being a student). Contrary to the existing literature on the period of transition, life satisfaction in the Czech Republic appears to be U-shaped in age during the whole considered period including the 90s. However, the turning points and the exact shape of the relationship changed over time. Keywords life..

Dispečerské pracovisko Centra tiesňového volania

Import 01/09/2009Táto práca sa zaoberá princípom a postupom činnosti Centra tiesňového volania v Ostrave. V prvej časti sú zahrnuté zákonné úpravy integrovaného záchranného systému a všeobecné poznatky o ňom. Druhá časť sa zaoberá konkrétnou činnosťou a históriou Centra tiesňového volania v Ostrave a spôsobom spracovania tiesňových volaní na jednotlivých pracoviskách. V práci je tiež zahrnutý výhľad do budúcnosti v podobe Integrovaného bezpečnostného centra. V závere sa práca venuje porovnaniu príjmu a spôsobu riešenia tiesňového volania jednotlivými zložkami integrovaného záchranného systému. Rozpracovaný je aj návrh na optimálne riešenie.This work deals with principles and procedures of a activity PSAP in Ostrava. Legislation of the Integrated Rescue System and general knowledge about it are elaborated in the first part. The second part deals with specific actions and history of PSAP in Ostrava and the working of emergency calls to the individual workplaces. The future Outlook of the Integrated Security Center is also included in the work. In conclusion, the work is giving comparison of income and ways of addressing emergency call from the individual components of the Integrated Rescue System. Vztahy mezi vybranými individuálními charakteristikami a spokojeností jsou analyzovány pomocí metody nejmenších čtverců a výsledky jsou následně porovnány v čase. Tato práce doplňuje existující literaturu tím, že poskytuje aktuální analýzu a že se životní spokojeností zabývá v širším časovém hori­ zontu. Některé vztahy byly shledány poměrně stálé během zkoumaného období (například ty spojené se zdravím, spokojeností s institucemi nebo politickým přesvědčením). Přestože vyšší vzdělání a vyšší plat nebyly vždy doprovázeny vyšší spojeností, rozdíly mezi nižšími a vyššími decily platu byly významné po celou dobu. Na druhou stranu se některé asociace v čase výrazně měnily (například asociace mezi spokojeností a statutem studenta). V rozporu s exis­ tující literaturou zabývající se devadesátými léty se vztah mezi spokojeností a věkem zdá být v případě České republiky konvexní po celou zkoumanou dobu. Nicméně zlomové body a přesný tvar vztahu se měnil v čase.
