Development Of A Cathode Designing Method To Avoid Electrodes’ Interference During Blisk Electrochemical Machining

    Get PDF
Electrochemical machining plays a prominent role in blisk (bladed integrated disk) construction process. Since blisk channel is narrow and twisted, interference between electrodes may happen during electrochemical machining. Therefore, this paper develops a cathode designing method to avoid interference. Firstly, according to theory of electrochemical machining, machined channel is predicted by calculation. Second, with this channel, interference analysis is carried out and a cathode is designed. Finally, the cathode is employed in experiment and no interference appears

Some recent developments in quantization of fractal measures

We give an overview on the quantization problem for fractal measures, including some related results and methods which have been developed in the last decades. Based on the work of Graf and Luschgy, we propose a three-step procedure to estimate the quantization errors. We survey some recent progress, which makes use of this procedure, including the quantization for self-affine measures, Markov-type measures on graph-directed fractals, and product measures on multiscale Moran sets. Several open problems are mentioned.Comment: 13 page

The physical state condition in the BRST quantization of Chern-Simons field theory is used to derive Gauss law constraints in the presence of Wilson loops, which play an important role in explicitly establishing the connection of Chern-Simons field theory with 2-dimensional conformal field theory.Comment: Some typetwritten errors have been corrected. A few formulas have been modified to make the arguments clear. A little English have been re-edite

A study of pentaquark Θ\Theta state in the chiral SU(3) quark model

The structure of the pentaquark state uudd-sbar is studied in the chiral SU(3) quark model as well as in the extended chiral SU(3) quark model, in which the vector meson exchanges are included. Four configurations of JP=1/2- and four of JP=1/2+ are considered. The results show that the isospin T=0 state is always the lowest one for both JP=1/2- and JP=1/2+ cases in various models. But the theoretical value of the lowest one is still about 200-300 MeV higher than the experimental mass of Θ\Theta. It seems that a dynamical calculation should be done for the further study.Comment: 9 page

An online position error correction method for sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous machine with parameter mismatch

    Get PDF
To eliminate the influence of parameter mismatch for fundamental model based sensorless methods, an effective online position error correction method is proposed for permanent magnet synchronous machines in this paper. Based on the derived position error mechanism, i.e. the error varies proportionally to the dq -axis currents, the proposed method injects a sinusoidal current signal with a small amplitude and low frequency into the d - or q -axis current for a short period. During injection, the corresponding sinusoidal response for current injection can be acquired from the estimated speed of the sensorless position observer. It is found that the amplitude of the response in the estimated speed decreases as the parameter mismatch reduces, and eventually reaches a minimum if there is no parameter mismatch. Thus, by applying the least mean square (LMS) algorithm, the amplitude of the response in the estimated speed can be minimised as the parameters are adaptively adjusted to the actual values, and then the position error can be corrected. The proposed method is validated through experiments on a permanent magnet generator drive system

Further study on 5q configuration states in the chiral SU(3) quark model

The structure of the 5q5q configuration states with strangeness S=+1{\cal{S}}=+1 is further studied in the chiral SU(3) quark model based on our previous work. We calculate the energies of fifteen low configurations of the 5q5q system, four lowest configurations of Jπ=1/2J^{\pi}={1/2}^- with 4q4q partition [4]orb(0s4)[31]σf[4]_{orb}(0s^4)[31]^{\sigma f}, four of Jπ=1/2+J^{\pi}={1/2}^+ with 4q4q partition [31]orb(0s30p)[4]σf[31]_{orb}(0s^30p)[4]^{\sigma f} and seven of Jπ=1/2+J^{\pi}={1/2}^+ with 4q4q partition [4]orb(0s30p)[31]σf[4]_{orb}(0s^30p)[31]^{\sigma f}. Some modifications are made in this further study, i.e., the orbital wave function is extended as an expansion of 4 different size harmonic oscillator forms; three various forms (quadratic, linear and error function form) of the color confinement potential are considered; the states with 4q4q partition [4]orb(0s30p)[31]σf[4]_{orb}(0s^30p)[31]^{\sigma f} are added, which are unnegligible in the Jπ=1/2+J^{\pi}={1/2}^+ case and were not considered in our previous paper, further the mixing between configurations [31]orb(0s30p)[4]σf[31]_{orb}(0s^30p)[4]^{\sigma f} and [4]orb(0s30p)[31]σf[4]_{orb}(0s^30p)[31]^{\sigma f} is also investigated. The results show that the T=0 state is still always the lowest one for both Jπ=1/2J^{\pi}={1/2}^- and Jπ=1/2+J^{\pi}={1/2}^+ states, and Jπ=1/2,T=0J^{\pi}={1/2}^-, T=0 state is always lower than that of Jπ=1/2+J^{\pi}={1/2}^+. All of these modifications can only offer several tens to hundred MeV effect, and the theoretical value of the lowest state is still about 245 MeV higher than the experimental mass of Θ+\Theta^+. It seems to be difficult to get the calculated mass close to the observed one with the reasonable parameters in the framework of the chiral SU(3) quark model when the model space is chosen as a 5q5q cluster.Comment: 16 page

Measurement of the Intrinsic Radiopurity of Cs-137/U-235/U-238/Th-232 in CsI(Tl) Crystal Scintillators

The inorganic crystal scintillator CsI(Tl) has been used for low energy neutrino and Dark Matter experiments, where the intrinsic radiopurity is an issue of major importance. Low-background data were taken with a CsI(Tl) crystal array at the Kuo-Sheng Reactor Neutrino Laboratory. The pulse shape discrimination capabilities of the crystal, as well as the temporal and spatial correlations of the events, provide powerful means of measuring the intrinsic radiopurity of Cs-137 as well as the U-235, U-238 and Th-232 series. The event selection algorithms are described, with which the decay half-lives of Po-218, Po-214, Rn-220, Po-216 and Po-212 were derived. The measurements of the contamination levels, their concentration gradients with the crystal growth axis, and the uniformity among different crystal samples, are reported. The radiopurity in the U-238 and Th-232 series are comparable to those of the best reported in other crystal scintillators. Significant improvements in measurement sensitivities were achieved, similar to those from dedicated massive liquid scintillator detector. This analysis also provides in situ measurements of the detector performance parameters, such as spatial resolution, quenching factors, and data acquisition dead time.Comment: 28 pages, 12 figure

Public mental health problems during COVID-19 pandemic: a large-scale meta-analysis of the evidence

    Get PDF
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has exposed humans to the highest physical and mental risks. Thus, it is becoming a priority to probe the mental health problems experienced during the pandemic in different populations. We performed a meta-analysis to clarify the prevalence of postpandemic mental health problems. Seventy-one published papers (n = 146,139) from China, the United States, Japan, India, and Turkey were eligible to be included in the data pool. These papers reported results for Chinese, Japanese, Italian, American, Turkish, Indian, Spanish, Greek, and Singaporean populations. The results demonstrated a total prevalence of anxiety symptoms of 32.60% (95% confidence interval (CI): 29.10-36.30) during the COVID-19 pandemic. For depression, a prevalence of 27.60% (95% CI: 24.00-31.60) was found. Further, insomnia was found to have a prevalence of 30.30% (95% CI: 24.60-36.60). Of the total study population, 16.70% (95% CI: 8.90-29.20) experienced post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms during the COVID-19 pandemic. Subgroup analysis revealed the highest prevalence of anxiety (63.90%) and depression (55.40%) in confirmed and suspected patients compared with other cohorts. Notably, the prevalence of each symptom in other countries was higher than that in China. Finally, the prevalence of each mental problem differed depending on the measurement tools used. In conclusion, this study revealed the prevalence of mental problems during the COVID-19 pandemic by using a fairly large-scale sample and further clarified that the heterogeneous results for these mental health problems may be due to the nonstandardized use of psychometric tools.Action Contro
