In March 2020, the Your COVID-19 Risk tool was developed in response to the global spread of SARS-CoV-2. The tool is an online resource based on key behavioural evidence-based risk factors related to contracting and spreading SARS-CoV-2. This article describes the development of the tool, the produced resources, the associated open repository, and initial results. This tool was developed by a multidisciplinary research team consisting of more than 150 international experts. This project leverages knowledge obtained in behavioural science, aiming to promote behaviour change by assessing risk and supporting individuals completing the assessment tool to protect themselves and others from infection. To enable iterative improvements of the tool, tool users can optionally answer questions about behavioural determinants. The data and results are openly shared to support governments and health agencies developing behaviour change interventions. Over 60 000 users in more than 150 countries have assessed their risk and provided data.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Hubungan Pemahaman Konsep Civic Partisipatory dengan Sikap Empati dalam Mengikuti Organisasi Mahasiswa

This research aims to explain the correlation of understanding civic partisipatory concept with empathy attitude in following student college organization at PPKn, FKIP, Lampung University. This research uses descriptive method. The sample are 48 respondents. The result of this research shows : (1) 68,75% of respondents don't understand about civic partisipatory concept and needs to be improved. (2) 58,3% of respondents understand enough and it means that students have empathy to follow student organization. (3) there is a significant influence between level of understanding civic partisipatory concept (X) with empathy attitude of civic education students in following campus organizations (Y) it can be seen at coefficient C = 0.69 that included in high category, it means if level of understanding civic partisipatory concept is good, students empathy attitude in following student organizations will be good also.

    The TV-Trawler Project

In this paper, we describe a system which enables the filtering, recording and delivery of digital video broadcasts over satellite, by matching incoming content descriptions to pre-defined sets of personal user preferences which have been defined using MPEG-7. The system enables the automatic analysis, selection and flexible, customized delivery of relevant content extracted from potentially hundreds of concurrent video channels

An improved general kinetic analysis of non-linear irreversible polymerisations

    Get PDF
A method to predict average molecular weights before and after gelation for general irreversible non-linear polymerisations forming tree-like molecules is described. Recently developed numerical methods for solving two point boundary value problems are essential for the success of these calculations after gelation and open the way to eventually be able to efficiently predicting chain length distributions. Anionic and free-radical polymerisation of vinyl monomers in the presence of divinyl monomers or with transfer to polymer are taken as case studies. Comparison to experimental data and with simulation results obtained through “numerical fractionation” confirms the usefulness of current approach.FCT European Communit

A beer a minute in Texas football: Heavy drinking and the heroizing of the antihero in Friday Night Lights

    Get PDF
This article applies a qualitative framing analysis to the first three seasons of the television series Friday Night Lights, focusing particularly on its incorporation of heavy drinking into narrative representations of the player whose character is most consistently central to the game of football as fictionally mediated in small-town Texas over the course of those three seasons. The analysis suggests that over the course of that period Friday Night Lights embeds nuanced social meanings in its framing of alcohol use by that player and other characters so as to associate it with multiple potential outcomes. Yet among those outcomes, the most dominant framing works to, in effect, reverse a progression through which media representations historically evolved from a heroic model toward an antihero model, with heavy drinking central to that narrative process of meaning-making in such messages.Yeshttps://us.sagepub.com/en-us/nam/manuscript-submission-guideline

A Critical Examination of Feedback in Early Reading Games

    Get PDF
Learning games now play a role in both formal and informal learning, including foundational skills such as literacy. While feedback is recognised as a key pedagogical dimension of these games, particularly in early learning, there has been no research on how commercial games available to schools and parents reify learning theory into feedback. Using a systematic content analysis, we examine how evidence-based feedback principles manifest in five widely-used learning games designed to foster young children's reading skills. Our findings highlight strengths in how games deliver feedback when players succeed. Many of the games, however, were inconsistent and not proactive when providing error feedback, often promoting trial and error strategies. Furthermore, there was a lack of support for learning the game mechanics and a preference for task-oriented rewards less deeply embedded in the gameplay. Our research provides a design and research agenda for the inclusion of feedback in early learning games
